Neighbor's is a very friendly and laid back establishment. The waiting area is comfortable and has a lot of reading material to occupy your wait time. There is a variety of current publications and even books. Your wait time won't be long as the staff is very efficient and manage their time really well. We bring our 2.5 year old here every couple of months and Marie does a great job with him. He enjoys the experience and is always excited to come back and get his next haircut. Fantastic neighborhood barbershop in Wedgwood! My brother got a haircut here last week and it was the best ever. This shop is very cozy, clean, and you can even watch Netflix during your haircut. There are two chairs in the shop, and Marie was a wonderful hairstylist/owner. The pricing was very competitive for a men's cut ($30 before tax/tip) and the quality of the cut itself was extremely high. Marie was so meticulous and engaging. I have been getting my haircut from Marie for over 7 years. She always does an excellent job, and is always nice and in a great mood. She has a way of connecting with her clients, her memory is very good and she genuinely cares about you when you stop in for a haircut! It is hard to find a barber shop that cuts Asian hair well, IYKYK. Needless to say, there is a reason that I return to get my haircut from Marie at least once a month, she knows what she's doing. Marie is an awesome stylist. In fact, I followed her from another shop that I went to for more than 6 months. Marie is attentive, professional, welcoming and responsive. She works with you to get your hair right and you happy with your cut. My hair is a challenge to work with and finding someone who is both technically competent AND aesthetically savvy has been a HUGE challenge in Seattle, where buzz cuts, and kid cuts pass muster for "wonderful." I have tried 10s of stylists and shops in Seattle (just check out my yelp reviews - I'm pretty blunt), including the high-end ones: Gene Juarez ($80 for a cut), Valentine's Men's Hair Tailor ($100 cut), Capelli's Gentlemen's Barbershop ($80), along with a half-dozen barber shops. Marie's Neighbors' Barbershop beats them all at less than 1/3 the price. Sharp haircut. Responsive to customer service and requests (seriously: my first haircut from her was incredible, the second *didn't* meet what I wanted so she worked with me on my third to ensure I was happy. Once dialed in, her cuts have been perfection). A warm personality. Marie has a wonderful barbershop in the heart of Wedgewood. We come from Shoreline to get great family cuts. She is wonderful with kids as young as our almost 3 year old daughter. She has the ability to have some awesome kids shows on for that needed attention distraction. For a normal guys haircut Marie is also great.
