I came here with my wife and nephew and we enjoyed our meal, waitress, and experience very much. The pizza was hand stretched with not too little sauce and not too much. The waitress was prompt and courteous (she even showed us the "secret" toy stash in the back when our 2 year old nephew started getting rowdy) and the vegan cheese (at no extra cost) was abundant as the pictures will show. The crust was unflavored which I thought was strange at first but then remembered it too was vegan (the crust) so that may have played into that and with the pizza they bring you a shaker of Italian seasonings (basil, oregano, onion, etc.), red pepper flakes, and Italian cheese blend so you can pretty much make all the "classic" pizza flavors you would like. It took about 50 from order to table, little long in my opinion since there were only 2 tables total in the place but it was a REALLY big pizza so I can understand a long cooking time. The pizza itself was excellent, the cheese was vegan but still gooey and tasty, the sauce was there but not overbearing, the crust was light and airy, not too thick and not too thin and the experience all and all was great.
Pros: HUGE pizza, hand stretched (no pre-made factory "yuck" crust), vegan "cheeze" at no extra cost, friendly staff, abundant condiments provided, toys for kids to take to the table, fairly priced. It ended up being $25.xx, not including tip, for a large cheese pizza, 1 adult soda, and 1 kids lemonade; which is what we usually expect to spend when we go out with our nephew (we figure $10 per adult including drink and $5 for him including drink)
Cons: Dirt under the booth and in the crevasses (found this out the hard way when my nephew dropped a toy). No complaints however about the pizza we had. The toppings looked over priced at $1.50/$1.00 per topping no matter what the size pizza (minus the personal). Most places start to break the price as you order more toppings but they seemed not to. We stuck with cheese for that reason. If we added 5 toppings at $1.50 per were spending almost half the cost of the pizza on toppings and that did not make enough sense to us to justify the cost. "Change the price per topping to a lower cost as you add more to the pie" is the only recommendation for change that I would make to the owners or kitchen manager if they ever asked or read this review.
Neutral: 50 minute wait time with only one other table in the place. This is neutral because it was a big pie and we were not in a rush. I do wish it had been cooked a little longer because I like a crispier crust, but my wife likes a softer crust so it was a neutral experience. The crust was thin but was also hand stretched so that may be why. If I ordered a personal pizza (ranging from $5.75 - $9.95 depending on the number of toppings) I would get it "well done," I also saw a personal pizza at another table and it looked much thicker.
Would I recommend this place to a stranger or take out of town family there: Yes! :) read more
