Definitely grab some slices when you're drunk! Best pizza I have ever had lolol. Really good and unique options for meat lovers and veggie lovers alike. A little expensive but definitely worth it.

I'm here for all the pizza that sounds like not pizza. Barbecue Bacon Cheddarburger Chili Cheese Fries Spicy Chicken Burrito Barbecue Steak and Fries Philly Cheesesteak Pulled Pork and Onion Rings Mac and Cheese Mesa Pizza, you've got that good good za. I ordered on a Thursday night. We were feeling Buffalo Chicken. You did not disappoint! Considering the toppings and size, I think pricing is on point. Parking can be issue, Tower Place Ramp is probably the closest option. Mesa Pizza is available to dine in, carryout and delivery (via CHOMP Delivery and Uber Eats) They're closed Sunday. Want pizza but actually want something else on a pizza? Mesa is your spot. Check them out.

Half pulled pork cinnamon Apple and veggie delight.

Food was hot and good. Service was good. I felt it was fair for the price. For an affordable meal I will be back.

Good pizza but they're pricks. Are you with your friends? they don't care, they make you leave before your friends are done.

We got a small 12 veggie and a 16 1/2 hamburger and onion 1/2 pep sausage and pepperoncini. Crust was thin but not dry, sauce and cheese ratio was on point. The hamburger was so good, I ended up liking that more than the veggie I got for myself! Good flavorful cheese, just a great pizza to me! This will def be our go to for pizza in Iowa city. oh!! They also brought every extra thing I ordered parm peppers and extra sauce. Love the attention to detail.

The wife and I are in town to attend an event at the University of Iowa and we just needed a place to grab a quick dinner on the way back to the hotel after a long day of traveling. We sat at the bar, and as mentioned, the bartender was friendly and attentive. We ordered cheddar bacon fries as an appetizer and a small thin crust Lola Pizza - which had spinach, garlic, red onions and pepperoncini peppers. The cheddar bacon fries probably sat in the window because they were delivered with the pizza. Not a huge deal, but they weren't very flavorful. The pizza was better.. crispy crust, good sauce to toppings ratio, but sadly it really didn't stand out enough for me to recommend Sam's. There are just too many better options downtown for better food.

I asked three people where we should eat when visiting the University of Iowa. They had a lot of…read moreopinions. Every one of them said Wig & Pen. And so we did. My wife isn't a big pizza fan, so anytime we have an opportunity to pick pizza as a dine-in dinner, and blame it on others, I'm going to take that opportunity. And she loved it too. First for the appetizer, we chose the onion rings. They were really onion straws (remember the old Damon's BBQ Onion Loaf? They're like that!). They were great. A bit messy, but great. For pizza, we went with the thin crust Union Jack, which is basically deluxe: Italian sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, red bell pepper. I loved the way they cut the peppers super thin, and the pizza was fantastic. I'd love to try the other crust/styles as well someday, but the table voted and that's what we landed on. Six stars for the pizza. The restaurant is bigger than it looks, and was very crowded on an early Saturday evening. It is obviously popular, as the inside dining was full and the outdoor patio was nearly as popular. Service was very friendly, and helped us navigate the crust decision. The only downside - and I didn't test them on it - is the 'only one refill' rule on their fountain drinks. I hate this rule almost as much as Mexican restaurants charging for the second basket of chips and salsa. It just makes no sense to me. But I don't think I even finished the first one, so I have no idea if they would have actually charged me if I had !GASP! asked for a third drink. This is a top ranking for me - loved it, will return next time I'm in town. If you're looking for a great pizza place with other dishes on the menu, Wig & Pen is a great choice!

In my mind, the Provender started like this: "Hey dude. You…read moreknow what would be awesome? A sweet old truck with a pizza oven in it!" And the Provender was born of the union of a sweet old truck and brick pizza oven! While, I've only been here on RAGBRAI, the place is seriously magical. A delight of a restaurant on wheels that served up some mighty fine vittles! We had a breakfast bar that consisted of rice, sausage and eggs - served cold and in rectangular form. This action was solid! If not for the miles ahead, I would have partaken in the meat laden sandwich. Apparently you can rent this beast for gatherings as well! We're excited to get to know this unique food truck better in the near future and you'd be wise to do the same!

Wowza, delish!…read more These guys focus on good, local, from-scratch ingredients and it shows! Everything is fresh from the farm and they even make use out of things like the radish greens - love that! Oh, and I suppose I should mention that these dishes are unintentionally healthy, because they are. This is the kind of food you want to eat all the time not because it's good for you, but because it's tasty. The fact that their menu is loaded with a bunch of super foods, is a mega bonus. Also, can we talk about the truck for a second? Because it's the hippest thing that's rolled down Washington Street since horses were the only mode of transportation! The style is perfectly on-par with their local, farm-to-table mission. I can't wait to work my way through their whole menu!

It was a lot of wine but a good deal! The only thing that was difficult is their printed wine menu is different from what they had available. The waitress was nice so she got some recommendations from the bartender and we were able to choose wine that way. The pizza was great, some of the best we have had in Coralville. Their pasta tasted fresh and homemade, I am not sure if it is but that was the vibe we got. The broccolini was hot!! Not in a straight out of the oven way, but in an it carries some heat way. We thought maybe there was chili oil on it? But even though we weren't expecting the heat, they were super good. The only downside to the meal was the crème brûlée, it bothers me when the top isn't crispy. Normally, you use the spoon to kind of break the sugar glass on top (i think it's sugar?) and I was sad when the sugar on top was missing from half of it. I think to make it you use a blowtorch to melt the sugar on top (?) idk how it works, but whatever that step is I think it was missed. Other than that great food and drinks!
