Nice local shop in the middle of downtown. Selection was pretty good (although they were out of Montes) and prices were very reasonable compared to other shops I have been to. Lounge area adjacent to the shop which offers leather sofas and chairs, television and is also BYOB. Staff was friendly. read more

I just found this place wandering down State Street after finishing a hearing at the District Court. It looks like a very old store. The selection was small but good, and the person working was very knowledgable. Got a great recommendation for 10 sticks for the lake. Ned's has been a great resource for me, and the only place that I go when I need cigars for special occasions. Luca (the owner) has helped me select great cigars for a number of weddings, and they've all been very well-received. Luca is great, and very knowledgeable. The store also hosts great local events centered around cigar culture. The new owners have kept the style and personality of the shop creating a boutique selection with hard to find and sought after cigars. A nice, comfortable cigar shop. I stopped by during the BrewFest, and although the lounge was full of regulars, room was made for me to sit and have a smoke, too. I've been in some cigar shops where the guys inside stop talking until you leave the store...basically, you're made to feel like an outsider. At Ned's, there's none of that. If you're there to enjoy a cigar, you're part of the party. The place is essentially a BYO, although they won't begrudge you taking a beer from the cooler if you promise to replenish the next time you're in town. Between the selection and the company, Ned's is worth the trip! read more

This store has the potential. There is a nice cozy friendly feel to the smoking area,leather chair's with foot rest.Two large screen TV's ( but they shouldn't be side by side).The problem area's are a very small selection. There's no Padron,AVO,Olivia,Alex Bradley,Roxy Patel and only 2 selections of Fuente's.There largest selection is Ned's cigars. The cabinet is very dark and you have to get on your knees to see bottom row(.Add some lighting guy's) And make your selections inviting i.e. Keep the boxes full ,cigars straight and the label up. The counter area is cluttered, The girl behind the counter Is on her cell phone talking or texting,wathing TV or Reading and never looks up to greet you when you enter.I would hire a person that doesn't have to be a tobacconist ,but should know something about cigars and is interested in learning. Keeps personal belongings off the counter top,stop what your doing ,greet people with a smile,and offer assistance.I hope you don,t get mad,but will apply some of these observations.
