Isabel Magana has absolutely no customer service skills at all! Very rude. Has no real communication skills to handle patients.

We were informed that they are not affiliated with Dignity Health, which has made it difficult for them to access or locate my grandmother's information. Each time I have called, the staff seem unsure and unable to provide clear answers. I am frequently placed on hold, only to be told that someone will return my call. I have made multiple attempts--calling several times and leaving numerous voicemails--to understand the next steps for obtaining my grandmother's neuropsychological evaluation results from December 2025. Each time, I am told that I will get a call back, yet we have not received any follow-up. This ongoing lack of communication and accountability has been incredibly stressful, especially given the importance of these medical results! It has been months without resolution. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this practice with Dr. Mani Nezhad. Patients and their families deserve timely responses, clear communication, and a genuine effort to provide support and unfortunately Link Neuroscience does not provide that.

Dr. Ryan Shanannan was thorough, professional, and reassuring. On 2 South, Mae, Crystal, and Paige were exceptional--caring, knowledgeable, and clearly dedicated to their patients. Doctors Kim and Dr. C were compassionate, and the surgeon and anesthesiologist communicated clearly and confidently. Here comes the problem!!!!! Now, unfortunately, the complete opposite experience: Elliot from the ER phone line. Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. I asked a straightforward question about possibly speaking with Dr. Shanannan. Instead of listening, he repeated the same irrelevant line about not giving out the doctor's schedule--which I never asked for. It was either a lack of comprehension or a lack of effort--neither is acceptable. When I asked to leave a message, I was told "we don't do that." No explanation. No alternative. Just a dead end. When I confirmed his name, he responded with attitude. When I asked his role, he refused to answer altogether--which raises serious concerns about transparency. Patients shouldn't have to question who they're speaking to when trying to get help. For someone in a frontline role at a hospital, basic communication and professionalism should be the bare minimum. Instead, the interaction felt dismissive and borderline disrespectful. It's disappointing, because one person like this can easily undermine the trust built by an otherwise excellent medical team. The hospital clearly has many outstanding professionals--Elliot is not one of them, clearly Elliot does not have human kindness.

They're good at what they do and I'm grateful for them just as I am for Dr. Wagner and Dr. Westra, who were both in the OR during my surgery. The pain was so unbearable I began to believe that death would have been better than living the way I was. Life is beautiful when you're not struggling to live with the agony of constant pain. Thank you Ventura Neurosurgery for saving my life. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Life is beautiful again.

She has had fainting spells for the last year and a half and they are scary for all of us. She has seen him a handful of times in the last few years and we are still at point A. He has continued to prescribe her the same meds all though they make her horribly ill. After telling him about her fainting spells he has done nothing said nothing basically shrugged it off. I finally went to an appointment with her. He actually said if she passes out again well do something. Um NO, this is a huge concern and a healthy person doesn't randomly pass out!!!!! After telling him this he said she should have a consult with a cardiologist. He was in such a hurry to rush out of the room I had to stop him and tell him I had some questions. He rushed me through them. I also found the nurse that came in before him had no personality didnt smile and was borderline rude. Being in health care is also like being in customer service. You are working with the public, it wouldnt hurt you to be personable. Bottom line I think hes an awful excuse for a health care professional. Maybe its time for him to retire. I will be looking for another Nuerologist for my mother. She deserves better than that!!!!!!!

Worst experience, waste of my time, my families time and Office Manager is totally Rude!!!…read more NO STARS can even be provided. I first saw Dr Kong in 2013. The office accepted cash only.. I have nerve issues among other things I was trying to rule out. He was given family history of things that I was experiencing. But it seems as though he and his office manager could not recall what he wrote down and would just request whatever they felt the test would be etc. Kept giving me the same test when it should have been full panels etc. I got fed up bcuz nothing was being done. The same medications I had tried previously and informed him did not work, he would prescribe for me again...When I would tell him my past experiences in a f/u visit he would say Oh yea ok lets just do another test and see what we should do next or wanna try a different medication. I gave up and never went back. I just managed my own pain and got more help at Urgent Care and my Primary Dr.... Well eventually in early 2016 I couldn't take it and had to go back to Dr Kong. I thought things had to have changed and this office manager cant be there anymore if she continued to run the office like before. Well, she was still there and again the same tests given. I knew something was wrong. The office and Dr would sort of brush off the patients, not look them in the eye and were full of patient folders stacked head high(when sitting) and still trying to type and reschedule appts. They would not give me tests the Dr filled out in front of me to take bcuz they could not read what he put so they would let me know when it was ready. Week went by and she said oh I'll get back to you, 2 days went by and I called again. Office manager said she would fax it and hung up. Quest Diag. NEVER rec'd a fax from the office. They were going to give me a test that was from March 2016 and here we are in Dec 2016 by now.. I questioned the test, quest called the office manager who STILL DID NOT know which tests the doctor had requested. She and Quest worked together to try and figure out which test to give me that was in the area of my complaints........I could NOT BELIEVE this and neither could Quest. Eventually, it was the Quest rep that figured out the test. Follow up comes and I never got the test I should have been given. Meanwhile, I go for nerve test on my right fingers, hand, wrist forearm and elbow and a little above. Severe pain and shaking going on when the tests were finished and weakness in fingers and hand etc. . The Dr noticed this and was like wow "you in lotta stress huh"... I said uh well everyday yea. He said listen and explained I was hearing my nerves rattle around. He noted I was shaking and would then calculate the whatever test...I go to follow up visit and I'm told yea test were great.... Uh okay then explain why I still feel this way and nerves still jumpy, memory loss.. Pain in left side of chest, loss of energy breathing heavy for no reason, vision blurred on left, eye twitch and cheekbone near ear tenses up, nerve behind my ear was bulgy and tense and hot and painful and loss of strength in fingers of both hands, wrist, lips sometimes twitches..? I said I felt like I was having a stroke or something and who can do a stress test...He says I get that too sometimes, its natural...and says, come on we done and walks out to write whatever on my chart and says to me see your primary Dr and have him request the Stress test. He then continued to say but try yoga, walking, meditation for stress and call me when you need to see me again.... Uh okay. 2 days later I get a letter from Dr Kong's office that he is retiring and I can no longer see him etc... WTH!!? I finally made appt with primary when I was calmed down and requested a new Neuro. My Doctor told me that the test Dr Kong gave me was not the full test he should have given and he would go ahead and send for new test. I explained how I stopped going and jeopardized my own health for 3yrs and I desperately need a new Doctor for a 2nd opinion bcuz this is just getting old.. Fingers crossed lets hope there are some competent Neuro Docs in Oxnard area and NOT through CMH...Been there before too and Dr. there is not that concerned. I have Seaview IPA so not very many to choose from that have their own office. Very stressful but glad this office is closed for good.... **I would also like to add how all my Doctors in the past including past primary docs, would charge me for a 20minute visit yet only be in the office for less than 5 and Dr Kong is the top winner for the least amount time spent with me.. I could not continue to waste money on him

I finally approached the front desk and was told "the Doctor is running late". Clearly. However, no indication of how much longer we would need to wait. Once we sat in his office, the doctor scribbled notes on a piece of paper, turned his back to us, and then handed us this seriously unreadable "report" (for lack of a better word). A few days later, after all attempts to decipher said notes were unsuccessful, I called the office requesting type-written notes be mailed to us. Followed up with the Administrator today to hear "I told the doctor what you requested. You need to follow up if you don't receive those notes in the mail". Wow. Clearly this office is under the impression it's the patients job to 1) discern unreadable notes, or 2) request type-written notes and 3) follow up when said notes are not delivered. A truly stunning lack of follow through and patient care. Unbelievable.
