I completely forgot to leave a review! My wife and I got married a few years ago at Saluti Winery and Table Nectar catered. The food was great and the people were even better. Our initial caterer stopped picking up the phone and Table Nectar saved the day with just a few weeks notice. Also I thought the pricing was really fair. I am so excited to be writing this Review. We had the experience of Table Nectar catering our Wedding last month, and what a joyous occasion to have them be part of. Cajun Jambalaya - Paired with a fresh Vegan version as well. Kim's signature coconut Polenta Season Green salads Smokey Hummus Fermented Almond "Cheese" Delicious Lavender Lemon Verbena Beverage to sip upon... There is no way to add all the compliments I want to bestow upon them. Table Nectar tickles your senses, all of them. Kim and Andy take food to another level. They have mastered it, wrapped magic into it, and taught me so much over the past nearly 3 years I have known them. Wish I could give them 10 stars. They more then Deserve it. I cannot say enough good things about Table Nectar. They catered our outdoor wedding of approximately 60 people. First of all, the food was AMAZING!! This was NOT your typical wedding food. It was more like "oh my gosh, what is this heavenly flavor in my mouth?" I had sooooo many guests come up to me raving about the food. And then there is the service. Jenny was so great to work with. She helped with our menu choices, made recommendations, and was so accommodating when I requested gluten free and vegetarian options for a few of my guests. Mark my words: this young company is going to be around for a long time. I had their food for the first time last night at my friend's wedding. It was unbelievable. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and every dish's flavor enhanced the other flavors. This meal kept getting better with every bite. I must have sounded like a deranged lunatic to the other people at my table as I would not shut up about how good the food was. This is the best food I've ever had! I really enjoy quality food, and most places just aren't up to providing fresh, organic, local food- much less with nourishing vegetarian or vegan options. Not only do Kim and Andy do that, they do it with heart- as though they really care about all 150 (or whatever number) of people they are serving. Not only is the food unbelievably delicious, I have talked with Kim and she makes sure to use quality oils, healthy fats, and takes extra steps to soak and sprout some ingredients before cooking. She also orders food from a local CSA or local vendor when doing events far away. Its inspiring to see a company taking every effort to do the right thing- from organic sourcing to compostable plates, to having a kitchen full of people who look like they are enjoying themselves while making my food... I'm so glad they are out there! Lastly- and this is huge for so many people right now- Table Nectar offers vegan gluten free options- ones that are so good no one would miss the wheat. It's rare I can say I find food that feels truly nourishing for the body and spirit, and I can say with great thanks that Kim and Andy provide both. The best of the best- thank you! read more

Planned my wedding long distance (Dallas, TX) and working with Jenny was such a dream! From choosing our menu options, to last minute add on's for our bar- the whole team was so wonderful. The day of our (small) wedding, they had no objections to being crammed into a little kitchen. Even though we had set up a buffet for our guests, they served my husband and I which I thought was so sweet. But had all of that gone terribly....it still would have been worth it because the food is just killer. We set up our dinner without having a tasting because we just didn't have the time. I could not have imagine anything better. The crab cake apps were delicious. For our entrees we picked a ricotta and olive ravioli and tri-tip with a chimichurri sauce that our guests are still talking about. The pear salad, fingerling potatoes and asparagus with orange zest were the perfect accompaniment. I wish I hadn't been so caught up in excitement and nerves and had committed the meal to memory in every detail! Bottom line: awesome food, great service. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about Table Nectar. I arrange lunches for 40 people in my office of varying food needs. Andy & Kim were able to create beautiful and delicious lunches that satisfied all - meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and celiacs... all in one sitting. They made what I call "sneaky" food-- food that is so darned delicious and bursting with flavor, you don't realize that its totally healthy too... which is great around my office! Table Nectar provided us with amazing meals that worked within our modest budget, and were prompt, friendly and very easy to communicate with. OMG, I have consistently been blown away by Kim and Andy's food and desserts at Ecstatic Dance. Extremely affordable prices and I know I'm getting the best quality ingredients possible. I normally need some animal protein with my meals but every time I've had a meal from them I feel completely nourished and fulfilled. They put sooo much Love and intention into their food it oozes out in an explosion of sensations in your mouth. Table Nectar catered our camp out/construction event over the course of two weeks. The price was very reasonably for the quantity/quality, and I've never eaten that well/healthy. (I'd never even heard of quinoa.) I can't imagine how difficult it was for them to consistently serve us fresh fruits and vegetables at the remote site. One day I returned to camp sun burnt and dehydrated. Andy immediately sat me down, cracked open a young coconut and told me to drink. I'd never tried them before, and now they are a hot weather staple for me. I didn't think I liked sundried tomatoes `til I had some that Kim dried herself that were grown in her mother Cindy's garden. I'm also a big fan of their sprouted grains hot breakfast cereal. read more

Perhaps I don't reflect Table Nectar's "ideal client" - I confess to having a Big Mac, fries and diet coke within hours of tasting the first concoction I tasted from Kim and Andy. But call me converted! Their food is imaginative, soulful, delectable and satisfying. My taste buds were thrilled, my stomach was even happier. I wish I had the resources to have them cook for me every day. Professionally, Table Nectar has it totally together, too. For ten years I have produced events of all sizes and shapes, and catering is a challenging sport, er, business. Andy and Kim catered the closing cast party for our show, and were FABULOUS in every way: extremely responsive to my budget concerns, provided a range of delicious options to choose among, flexible regarding timing and a strange physical environment, able to accommodate food allergy issues -- I can't say enough about how great they were to work with. And, let it just be said, the food was FA-BU-LOUS! Even the devoted meat-eaters in the cast were won over by the "I can't believe it's vegan!" food simply because it was so utterly delicious, aromatic, beautiful to look at, and satisfying in every sense. If there's justice in the world, Table Nectar will have a VERY successful business, and I'll be sorry I posted this great review because it'll be too hard to get on their calendar for all the future events I'm already planning to have them cater. My mother was a health food freak but not the best cook in the world. Sadly, this upbringing made me very wary of all things vegan, raw, healthy, organic, etc. That was before I had the great pleasure of being at a photo shoot catered by Table Nectar. Table Nectar catered a post-wedding celebration I held for my daughter and new husband at Fausel Ranch. I was absolutely delighted with every element of the process. From planning thru clean-up Kim, Jenny, and the team were exceptional. Arrival was on time, set-up went very smoothly with all requested items in place, service during the event was great, and clean-up far surpassed my expectations. Bar set-up and bartender also flawless. Served margaritas made with house made ginger hibiscus mix - delicious! The food was extremely good; everyone was raving about It! Cuban inspired taco bar entree buffet: every item was delicious and beautifully presented in sumptuous quantities! Anyone who can set up a full-on catering op in the middle of the desert and serve delicious, fresh food for a week straight (for this vegan no less) has super powers. i love table nectar so much that i want to keep them all to myself. i want to brag and brag about them but i just don't want to share. andy has catered several shoots that i've produced and his food has bowled everyone over every single time. (was that a pun?) he makes this unbelievably healthy stuff that leaves you completely invigorated. and it's so flavorful. even the crew members who only eat simple ordinary food were amazed that healthy food could taste so good. the presentation is beautiful, the menu is highly creative and the price is right. i try to use andy every chance i get. but don't hog him up because i got him first! read more

We had a rehearsal dinner at our home for 30 people last week. We were originally going to do all the cooking ourselves but at the last minute decided to see if we could get it catered. This was the best decision we made!!! Kim and Andy were incredible to work with & were more than willing to accommodate our last minute needs. The food was AMAZING...some of the best food I've ever had... and plentiful. Everyone (including several men with big appetites) had seconds and there was still leftover food. The menu Kim put together was very creative yet approachable. Kim displayed everything simply and beautifully. My biggest regret is that we weren't able to use Table Nectar for the wedding too (we had already booked another business several months prior to meeting Kim & Andy). We are so happy that Table Nectar has relocated to the Placerville area. We will definitely be using them again!! read more

We just celebrated my husband's 40th birthday party and had Table Nectar cater the event for 18 people. We wanted delicious food that was not "typical wedding" food. We were so extremely happy with Table Nectar!! They came to our house and set up (while we were all out wine tasting). I texted when we were 30 minutes away, and when we walked in the door Table Nectar had appetizers waiting for us. About 30 minutes later they served dinner. Such good amazing, fresh food. Hands down the best food I've ever had from any type of catering. The collard greens were amazing! The potato gratins were so delicious (even from my non-potato loving husband). Beef tenderloins so delicious and could cut with a butter knife. Their food had so much flavor and everyone at Table Nectar is so wonderful to work with. I found them through a recommendation on Facebook and have been so impressed by their food. We will absolutely be using them again!!! All of our guests loved the food too!! We found out for ourselves why TN is so well reviewed here. Andy and Kim catered our wedding on May 7 and did an absolutely fantastic job. Numerous people told us that not only was this the best food they'd had at a wedding but some of the best food they'd had period. Favorites included the coconut shrimp, shortbread with rosemary, polenta, and the cocktail with the cucumber and basil (wow!). On top of everything, our approach to food fit perfectly with what Andy and Kim are trying to do at Table Nectar in providing delicious, healthy food that makes people feel good. We did have some issues with late table setup that added serious stress at an inopportune time before the ceremony, but it's difficult to assign blame - the site manager screwed up, we tried to keep personnel costs low and probably left them short staffed, and the logistics were more complicated than anyone realized. But the food was so delicious that all was soon forgotten. We cannot recommend TN strongly enough. Andy and Kim are talented chefs, competent organizers, and just wonderful people to have involved in one of the most important parts of the wedding. Thanks so much guys! read more

Created a yelp account just so I could post a review for these guys. Andy and Kim catered my wedding this past weekend and everyone agreed that the food was perfect. From stuffy rich relatives to garbage-diet punk rockers, vegans/vegetarians/and carnivores: everyone was raving about the awesomeness of the food. All the dishes were super-flavorful and rich without being too heavy. Mostly organic and a heavy emphasis on raw foods (not that anyone noticed anything lacking - I have found raw food chefs' creations to be frequently on the bland side) these two work some kinda magic with the perfect combination of flavors and immaculate preparation of their dishes. Coconut milk polenta? Curry/orange-marinade grilled chicken? Huge hits with the crowd and the multitude of other delicious creations had people going back for seconds and thirds. Great presentation of everything, very punctual and professional (grilled ribs and chicken getting done in time for a crowd of 200+!), they helped make our wedding a perfect day, and Table Nectar gets my highest recommendation. read more

We just had the most amazing party for our parents anniversary. It was a small party for only about 20 in our home. Jenny and Bruce brought everything they would need to serve appetizers and dinner. Many of our guests chatted with them as they cooked as they are passionate about food and very friendly and personable without being intrusive. Before the party, Jenny helped make sure all the details were taken care of-she as so easy to work with from start to finish! Everyone thought the food was incredible. I'm always hesitant that a caterer's food will be like bad banquet food but their food was perfectly cooked, very fresh and you could tell they put a ton of effort into sourcing seasonal and local ingredients. Sooo good! I wasn't looking for a bargain when I hired Table Nectar, but I felt their pricing was very competitive. Can't wait to throw another party so I can use Table Nectar again. read more

What a fabulous job Table Nectar did in catering our daughter's wedding this past weekend! We are from the Bay Area but decided to have the wedding at the Empire Mine up in Grass Valley - where the groom is from. We researched farm to table caterers who serve that area and were excited about the menu choices on Table Nectar's website. They hold their tastings at Manzanita Kitchen and Events in Diamond Springs - a beautiful venue for an indoor reception or corporate event. After the first bite, we were sold. Every selection was tastefully seasoned, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Because the Empire Mine is a state park and open for visitors during the day, they allow only two hours for set-up. With limited time, everyone from Table Nectar was efficient, organized and a pleasure to work with in making our vision a reality (and we had a lot of props and detail!). We knew the food would be great, but even our high expectations were surpassed! The salads were fresh and colorful, vegetables were excellent - crisp/tender, the tri tip and chicken were perfectly grilled and seasoned and the chimichurri sauce was a delicious addition. But a great caterer does more than provide fabulous food - it was an incredible pleasure to work with Kim, Andy and Jenny and their staff. Jenny was our first contact and event manager and is a joy - enthusiastic, fun and on top of things. Kim and Andy are not only amazing chefs but gave us incredible confidence in what they would (and did) provide for us. They not only served amazing food but they were also wonderful in making sure the reception was stress-free for us. The staff was great and our guests felt taken care of. Truly delicious and healthy food! New twists on 'tropical' and Carribbean dishes. Some of the best catered food I've EVER eaten. Beautiful presentation, cleverly-written name/ingredient tags too. The polenta/coconut wedges were *heavenly* - as were the too-good-to-be-gluten-free-but-they-are brownies. And those brownies are very low sugar...Hooray! As someone stuck for 3 years on the Candida-diet, these guys make incredibly tasty food that doesn't taste 'restricted' but still keeps to the gluten-free/low-sugar/no-sugar guide. And they do it so well your guests won't know they are eating on 'the diet'. And the owners are low-key/stress-free, smart and culturally hip -- I just can't rave about them & their awesome food enough! read more
