I just had soaked off and removed a set & my nails had a little residual glue & were fairly brittle but my cuticles were nice & well kept.... The woman who did them was in a rush & I was told it's her birthday so I was like okay totally fine like let's get you home to your family! She was looking around not paying attention & cut my cuticles/nail walls so badly I was bleeding. The polish was overflown, uneven & she skipped a coat on one hand. I didn't make a fuss bc I didn't want her to get in trouble especially on her birthday but wow they were awful & my fingers are still throbbing. I came in to get them fixed & had to do tips bc of how filed down they were & was charged 20 to do dip & extensions but I only did dip & extensions bc of the nubs & overly filed/uneven nails. It was quite painful getting them redone & she did glitter for free which is nice but personally if I hurt someone that much I wouldn't be charging a dime & would apologize. The woman who did my nails last night stood next to her the whole time & they were chatting which was uncomfortable in my opinion she also didn't apologize once& they chuckled whenever I winced or pulled my hand back out of pain. When I walked into the salon, there were only 2 people inside, a young woman and an old man, and neither were a customer. The young woman asked if I had an appointment, I told her no and said "I can come back later if you're not able to take a walk in right now." She said no it was fine, and placed me with the old man for my gel mani/pedi. He was super gentle, however, I'm not sure his eyesight is ok because I had to ask multiple times for him to clean up the edges where the nail polish was on the skin and cuticles. Not only were the edges still rough even after asking him several times to fix it, they were also textured, not smooth. Additionally, 2 days after having my nails and toes done, the gel polish on one of my toes just popped off in one chunk as if it was a press-on. My girlfriend went in later that same day for a basic pedicure and she also got the old man. She said she had to ask him several times to cut her toenails shorter and she ended up leaving the salon with toenails that still needed to be cut. As I mentioned, I really struggled with whether or not to write this review. But after both my girlfriend and I had less than savory (and pricey!) experiences, and also very belatedly reading the reviews of this salon, I feel like management should be aware. There are far better salons in the area. Don't waste your money here. Go where you're going to get what you pay for...Estella's is NOT it.
