The employee said he could not find a door in the special orders section for him. Being quick on conversation I sympathized with the customer and asked if I could see his email in which he showed me and it said Lowe's of Oakland California. The employee got on the phone and confirmed that the customers item was in fact in Oakland CA. The customer bowed his head and said he must have ordered it from the wrong location. The moral of the story is verify where you are ordering it from. Accidents do happen- just look at some of the comments on yelp for the Oakland California Lowe's vs The Oakland MD store. They are mixed up.

He was very rude, spoke overly loudly (and I say this as someone who wears hearing aids), and was gleeful (when I told him his attitude had me reconsidering shopping at Menards) about telling me the store didn't need my business. I did not feel welcome with my service animal, due to his behavior. I will nolonger be encouraging friends and family to shop at Menards and will probably cancel my credit card with the store. I've also inquired on things. There's always someone available to assist you and they're always friendly especially Randy! Nothing against Lowe's but service is way better here. I can't speak on how prices compare to somewhere like Lowe's or Home Depot but if I need a hardware type item and I'm home this is my go-to' place since they are only 5 minutes away. When I went to buy screws I showed an associate what I needed and they bagged them up for me. Also, I feel like the associates here are better trained than Lowe's or Home Depot. The store is clean, associates are friendly and you don't have to walk all over creation to find what you need!
