This restaurant is amazing! The location and decor is perfect, so beautiful. The staff was very kind, respectful and quick. The bread with cilantro butter was delicious and I really loved my salmon entree as well. The pineapple dessert was well worth it! I felt the prices were appropriate for the setting. I would return to Cancun just for this restaurant alone

I'm impressed!!!! Don't miss the experience of dining in Navíos. Everything is sooooo good. This Navíos is just a 10-minute walk from Westin Resort... but that 10-minute is worth every steps! The service is superb from receptionist to the waiters. You can tell that the waiters love what they're doing and all help each other. This place is by the lagoon so every table is a picture-taking location. But be careful of the crocodilo... of course, it's by the lagoon. The place itself is clean.. and the lagoon is clear water too. Now the food... it's as simple as, I can dine in this place everyday! It's not that expensive but the presentation, the service and the taste is like a 5-star fine dining restaurant. Even the drinks! I ordered their clam chowder (you can see in the attached video on how they served it), lobster tail wrapped with bacon, my hubby ordered salad (which was also excellent presentation), and steak. Let's not forget the chips that is on the house with 3 different taste buds sauces... tamarind (sweet), avocado (salty) and chipotle (spicy). Love love love! I should say, your visit in Cancun is not complete without visiting this excellent restaurant!

Pulled up to Navíos in Cancúr ike a man ready to make serious life decisions. mostly about seafood Started with the coconut shrimp-so good I almost called my ex just to tell her she lost Then their famous margarita hit me with that "bro, you're on vacation" energy Main event: Pescado Frito--a whole deep-fried red snapper lookina at me like it wanted smoke. I dominated the plate... and immediately realized it was the best dish I've ever had in my life Fresh tortillas made in-house too. At this point, I was emotionally invested, Sunset on the laqoon? 10/10. Would move in if thev let me.

If you come to Cancun, and are in the resort circuit area on the peninsula, you need to try navios. It's a hidden spot that overlooks the lagoon side of the area. The restaurant is located on the water and has a very island feel to it. You can either sit inside or on the water in a private hut. Which i definitely recommend. First off the prices here are awesome. We had about 10 entrees, drinks and desserts and paid $300 US. Would've been way more back home! 2nd is the food. I tried the chile garlic white fish which was amazing. Tasted very fresh. The rice had great flavor but was a little dry, but overall a great dish. My wife tried the ribeye which was great. Cooked perfect and good portion. We also tried the octopus which was good as well. 3rd is the drinks. The mojito and the Jamaica margarita were amazing. Lastly the service is awesome! So friendly and they did a really cool birthday surprise for my wife! Overall a great place. Has an upscale feel to it without all the fancy stuff you usually deal with at a steakhouse or fine dining restaurant. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

Came for Christmas Day dinner. All the seating offers amazing views. Food lived up to the hype of other reviews. Calm relaxed atmosphere. Waiters were attentive. The seafood is fresh. Prawns were large. My husband's tuna steak had amazing Asian flare flavor. They even have kids plates of chicken fingers or fish fingers, again homemade. We loved our cocktails-Mai Thai; Margarita. Prices I felt were really reasonable for fresh seafood. If you want Palapa seating on the deck they recommend reservation. If you look closely you might even find an iguana running around.

One more time Navios gets my 5 stars. The cocktails are innovative. The service A plus.... The environment is close to be in heaven... Ava the service expectations. Gabriel did an excellent job. Not only gave us recommendation but offered a great experience..

Lobster tacos

Amazing meal with stunning backdrop and impressive, immersive scenery. I cannot convey how stunning and elegant this restaurant is. After 4 days of boring all inclusive hotel food Navios really shown through with its mastery of seafood and beautifully plated dishes. The beef carpaccio came on an enormous plate and was delectable, just the right amount of saltiness and the added Parmesan worked great as a pairing. The grilled octopus was easy to cut, like butter, so fresh and tasty not at all rubbery or overcooked. The sweet potato garnish was delicious. The lobster tacos were really good as well, could really taste the chunks of lobster. Get the pineapple crème brûlée, it was the most delicious crème brûlée I have ever had, the presentation was fantastic, and the dessert could feed like 5 people.

We enjoyed Navios so much that we came here two nights in a row! TL;DR - This restaurant offers charming waterside vibes that are both elegant and romantic during sunset. The seafood is fresh, service is on point, and the prices aren't too crazy. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here as it was a cool evening with a warm breeze during sunset. We put on bugspray after reading other Yelp reviews, so happily didn't get bitten. On both days we ordered fish and steak, along with a couple drinks. The food wasn't mind-blowing but it was indeed tasty. The cocktails weren't very strong but were quite aesthetic. We didn't have to wait very long either, so felt good about the efficiency of service. All in all a solid 4/5 stars! Come here for a date night or ritzy night out, and don't forget to come before sunset!

Garlic Seafood was a bit overcooked.
Amy D.

I reaaallly wanted to love this place, as it was well dated and the space is actually so pretty. But the food... it was a miss. The octopus seafood entree was better than ok, but slightly overcooked. The salad was great. Everything else was really overcooked. Ceviche was super rubbery and chewy - almost like Laffy Taffy, if you know what that is. Everyone who tried it agreed it was pretty bad. Service was ok; they were a bit pushy about ordering whole bottles of wine and extra drinks, which we didn't cave into. :) The best thing about this place is definitely the cute outdoor space. Come for the ambience, not necessarily the food.

Fried snapper

This venue has the best dinning view especially around sunset. Reservations is needed as it's a popular venue for dinner due to its location but tasty food and service as well. Nothing disappoints here. Gabriel was awesome with taking care of us. Especially with nut allergies they were very careful to handle cross contamination. We had the fried snapper in garlic and man it was SO good. This was recommended by the manager and surely didn't disappoint. It was marinated in lime and garlic and was extremely flavorful. We also had a the tuna steak with veggie and it was seared to perfection. We stopped by here twice. Guava cheesecake was interesting it was tangy but good. Wasn't my favorite but I ate it . Venue is clean, everyone here is awesome. Highly recommend this place.

The service was amazing! They were super busy when we went for dinner but they kept full attention on us and kept checking on us constantly. Really appreciate that!! The atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. Not too dark but not too much light...I personally liked it very much! There was a young lady playing beautifully violin when we first got in. Our food came out in less than 20 minutes and each item was delicious! We enjoyed our time and meal here & would definitely go back.

Mexican seafood risotto, was a solid choice, came with lots of seafood.
Derrick S.

Great seafood and cocktails, recommend making a reservation around 6:30pm for the best experience. Ambiance is very cool, especially at night when the location morphs into a lighted Oasis.

I didn't like that I smelled like burnt wood cuz the whole time their wood grilled oven is on. The service is good. The waiters are fast and checks on us frequently. Presentation is good, but I'm not impressed with the taste. I ordered lobster bisque. It's kinda watery, not creamy at all. Very regular. Then I ordered lobster in coconut curry and basmati rice. It was served in fresh half pineapple.,Unfortunately I was not able to taste the coconut. i was expecting that it will be kinda sticky since the rice was cooked in coconut curry... but no, it seems like it was just soaked in water, it's lacking the taste of the coconut and taste of curry.,Also, for awhile i thought i was eating chicken instead of lobster. Yes, I was expecting that it will be pricey since it's fine dining, but it didn't meet my expectations to it's palatability. I was not even able to eat half of it. I was forcing myself to eat it, but i really can't cuz it was lacking taste. I still gave 3-star cuz of the service and the ambiance.

All-in-all it was worth the inconvenience. Very eclectic menu, warm atmosphere and outstanding service. I started withe the Mango-Tamarind: Lettuce, Indian walnut, mango, blueberries, Cotija cheese, mango-habanero dressing and tamarind billet. Unique and tasty. "Swiss Chicken Enchiladas" for the main course was not what you get at a local Mexican joint -- Four tortillas stuffed with chicken, bathed in a creamy tomatillo sauce with melted cheese and a base of refried black beans. This was a 5-star dish! I couldn't resist ordering a side dish though I didn't need to because the enchiladas were really enough, so I indulged myself with fries: these were not your run of the mill French fries. Porfirio's Potatoes -- French fries with chipotle pepper aioli, parmesan cheese and parsley.
