Due to poor health (back surgery) I asked that Nautical Mile come to my home on Lake Palestine, pick up my boat, take it in for a tune up and to have the grease changed.
After about a week two men came, picked up my boat and took it in. After not hearing anything for three weeks, I called and was told they were waiting on parts. The following week (2 days shy of FOUR weeks) I drove in and talked with them directly. Brandon told me he would call me.
Later that day, Brandon called me to give me a quote. He gave me a figure of over $1,900! I told him that all I wanted was a tune up and to have the lower unit grease changed. Two years earlier Nautical Mile repaired my outboard motor and charged me $900. I haven't taken it out but five times since then and it runs fine. I told him that I wouldn't pay anything like that and that I would pick it up myself. He told me the cost would be $225. "For what?" I asked. "For picking the boat up and diagnostics."
I picked my boat up the next day. I won't be doing business with Nautical Mile Marine again.
