Callender Lake Marine - Owner Tom repairing a jet ski inside the shop

Cannot even begin to say how disappointed I am with Callender Lake Marina. Everytime I would ask when it would be done, I received a belligerent reply that it will be done whenever it's done, we will let you know. Tom the owner acts like he was doing me some sort of favor taking my $6000.00. Fast forward to 6 weeks ago, my boat overheated right after I prepared it for spring, and had the same problem I took it in for the shift cable. After replacing the normal stuff like the thermostat and water pump, I called Callender Lake Marina and was told it was likely the lower unit water pump and it would be covered under warranty. After leaving it another almost 2 months, I was told it would be an additional $2500.00 for repairs and would take 3 weeks. After said 3 weeks, I get a call from the owners wife saying "You will never guess what we found after we put the boat back together, HaHaHa A hole in the bellows. That will cost $500 more to fix. She acted like this was some big joke. I have no idea what business school this owner went to but he certainly has NO communication skills, but can sell a bill of goods. Final conclusion, I am picking up a boat unfinished because I have lost all confidence and especially trust. I absolutely feel that I paid for a lower unit I never needed and numerous repairs this time that have nothing whatever to do with overheating. STAY AWAY FROM CALLENDER LAKE MARINA.
