The newest location of the Nautical Bean in SLO! As always, there is a good selection of coffee and breakfast items, but also a really cool venue that's in a local art studio.

I like the ambiance and the workers are nice nor can I speak on the pastries but they look good. The issue was the burrito is was soggy and had an odd creation of salsa. I would recommend thought I know it doesnt mean much but out the salsa on the side and focus on the guts of the burrito. If the business has a huge banned displaying a burrito it really should be crown jewel of the place.

We love this location it is the best! We're Cali Eggl fans, but everything is bomb. Great spot to swing by for breakfast or brunch and they have a couch with a coloring book and crayons, so that's also pretty awesome. The coffee always hits and the matcha is solid too if you like it sweet! We love the artwork they have on display and it's a great vibe. They can get pretty busy, so keep that in mind and have patience! They bathroom is also beautiful and clean.

Nice staff, but the espresso in my latte was burnt. WiFi also couldn't connect to my phone or computer which was odd

They offer about 10 interesting delicious salads. 6 kinds of Brussels sprouts, omg! And so many sliders, beef, chicken, Ahi, steak, pork? With enticing toppings. You've got to see this place to believe it. You can order 1-4. Tasting size and mix them up. We were 3 people and had nine different items. They have shared plates, which I find the concept a little awkward. You have to agree on the plates then there is the problem of Am I taking too much? Not enough? I loved that we could all get exactly what we wanted. There was not a miss in the bunch. I don't live here and I can't wait to come back. Our server was adorable and did the cutest thing. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, a good Pinot Noir; she opened a brand new bottle table side and filled our glasses, Then she left the bottle "in case you want more". I have taught servers many ways to build a check, but this is the cleverest ever and of course, it worked. We easily went from 2 glasses to a bottle. Smart girl and a great wine. This is a casual busy place. We were seating by a nine top, I was concerned it would be loud. She seated the table twice and something about the room was right. It never got too loud Our experience here was fabulous. Even the hostesses were sweet.

I placed an online order at 4:25 (directly through their site) and the confirmation via email to show up at 4:45. I shows up at 4:50 and it seemed they hadn't started on my order. I waited until 5:15 for the food which was good and accurate. But for $90 and with no acknowledgment of the inconvenience from the staff and the pre-tip required to order, I have no way to convey the feedback to the restaurant. My advice: call and ensure your order is being processed after you make an online order.

The food was amazing! I ordered the breakfast burrito, sub meat for avocado. I'm a breakfast burrito guy so I can confirm this was pretty yummy. Lots of potatoes cooked well, eggs, salsa, and cheese. Just passing through the area and glad we stopped off. My friend with me got the tuna sandwich expressed great joy from that meal! Overall highly recommend

We had to clean the table ourselves, which wasn't a big deal, but I'd usually expect to be seated at a clean table in a sit-down restaurant. The coffee cake was pretty good, but wasn't special. It had a nice sugary crust, and was fluffy on the inside. Despite the blueberries, I found it to slightly lack flavor. I ordered the breakfast combo with potatoes, eggs, and bacon. It took ~40 minutes to come, which isn't an egregious wait time, but certainly not a great one either. However, they were nice about it and apologized for the wait. The breakfast combo was okay, but for $17.50 I was somewhat disappointed. The bacon was thick-cut and crisp, which I really enjoyed. The potatoes were very flavorful, but pretty mushy. They were wet and fell apart. I thought they could have benefited greatly from being crispy. The eggs were satisfactory, perfect pairing with the delicious sourdough. While my experience at Kitchen and Vine was subpar, the food was good. I'd go back if the wait time wasn't so long.

First place for best alternative nomadic software developer looking for café to eat and do work…read moregoes to... Kreuzberg California Café. When I travel, I love finding a café that has an alternative vibe, friendly staff, really good coffee, really good food, and a vibe that says, "Hey--you bought an espresso like 5 hours ago. Stay as long as you want!" In other words, it's not a snobby café. It's real. It's authentic. I love it. But it's almost impossible to just get an espresso and leave it at that. The breakfast burritos here are just that good. I strongly recommend the soyrizo breakfast burrito with avocado. They have the recipe down to perfection. You have to travel 20 minutes out of town for anything that comes close. I will be honest here: they do charge a lot for their breakfast burrito... they know what it's worth, unfortunately, and they're going to charge you for it (and the prime downtown location). They also charge a very high credit card processing fee--it's more than any kickback a credit card rewards program would give back--so if you have cash, use that. It's cheaper. Their coffee is very good. You're splitting hairs here when trying to find better coffee, but if you're looking for the best breakfast burrito in San Luis Obispo, this is it. Trust me now, thank me later.

Very generous portions in a beautiful setting. The breakfast sausage is on the sweeter side but the food was overall quite good and very reasonably priced. My first impression of The Oak Grill was a bit odd. If you look at the photos of this restaurant,…read moreyou'll see a giant multi-tiered full bar. I saw several beautiful drinks on Yelp when I chose The Oak Grill. I walked in, the restaurant is polished and pretty, with the bar an obvious focal point. The server, Chloe, at the door waited for me to speak first, which is awkward to begin with, and I had to verbalize that I wanted breakfast. I mean... why else would I be walking into your restaurant? She explained I order there at the front counter and the food would be brought out to me. That's fine. I asked if they have mimosas and she looked at me and goes, "Mimosas?" Um, yes. Mimosas. She said "Yeah, technically, but it's up to the person working up here if they *want* to make you a drink or not. I mean, technically I'm not a bartender." I seriously almost just walked out based on that answer. You have a full bar, you serve alcohol, but only if the cashier wants to make you a drink? Is the rest of the menu also based on the cashier's discretion? Are you capable of pouring champagne and a splash of orange juice into a glass? There are 5 employees milling about, and none of them are bartenders? So... I'm not impressed by the service here and based on that alone I won't be back. I'm just gonna drink this mimosa, wait for my chilaquiles, ask for a box and bounce. I'm irritated I just paid $50 (yes, $50 for chicken chilaquiles and one begrudgingly made mimosa cost me $50) to feel like I inconvenienced them coming in. I didn't ask for a side order of apathy with my breakfast, and for that price, I'm sure I can find an actual bartender.
