Finally got a chance to try this cafe. Banner Coffee serves some delicious coffee. Once you step in you are greeted some amazing coffee aromas and a very modern contemporary decorated area. You'll find families, remote workers, students all enjoying the space. Walking up to the cashier, you'll pass by some very high quality coffee beans by some European roasters. I DID buy some coffee, to brew at home. DELICIOUS. I bought the Ethiopian beans roasted in Germany. Back to the cafe. I ordered the Everything Nice coffee. A great drink for a rainy day. My wife ordered the matcha latte. It was fine. We also ordered a scone. We came too late to order some hot food unfortunately. The scone was also fine. The coffee was so good I decided to do my personal test, a cortado- 1:1 espresso with steamed milk. Nailed it. It was delicious. The customer service and coffee definitely shone in our experience. I'm looking forward to coming again. If you'd like a nice specialty coffee experience, this is a great place.

Fantastic coffee shop with amazing service and ambiance. It's a super relaxing and chill atmosphere with so much seating and great music! There's also a great selection of local pastries as well as some breakfast items like avocado toast and breakfast tacos. The staff are all so kind and welcoming and I have loved spending my mornings here doing my Bible study.

Avocado toast without the bacon, simple but delicious

It's been a hot minute since I last reviewed a coffee shop. Let's give a round of applause to Banner Coffee! Delicious and beautiful latte! Plentyyyy of seatings! Huge plus for having food options. I didn't realize that there are sooo many coffee shops in the 5 cities until I started looking up a new coffee shop to try and get started on a new book. Banner popped up with so many great reviews, plus their few food options early in the morning was the main determination factor for me. Parking was fairly easy to find with the connecting parking lot next to the church. I didn't expect the inside to be so spacious from the look on the outside. The coffee shop was pretty busy when I got there at about 9:30am on a weekday, but I didn't have any problem snatching a table by the window. 1 star Decided to go with a matcha latte and avocado toasts since a few yelpers spoke so highly of them in the reviews. They delivered! The drink and the toast came out quickly. They call for your name and you just pick up everything from the counter. The matcha was nice and smooth from their housemade almond milk, with a good amount of matcha flavor. I opted out of the bacon bits on top of my avocado toast. The toast looks pretty simple, almost to the point of boring, but the flavor was excellent, and the bread they used was the perfect thickness that provides a good mix of crunch of softness. 4 stars Overall, it's one of my favorite coffee shops in the area now. Highly recommend! This is the breakdown of my rating for coffee shops: Quality of coffee/drinks/food: up to 2 stars Consistently offer latte art: 1 Star Atmosphere: 1 Star Customer service: 1 Star

Arrived. Love their fresh, clean aesthetic.

Kicked off our camping weekend with a pit stop at Banner Coffee. Now, I wish we had a Banner Coffee in OC too! This cute coffee shop is a great space for getting some work done while enjoying a delicious crafted coffee and a light breakfast. I got the hojicha latte with the seasonal caramel, and it was so so so good! The sweet and saltiness of the caramel paired so well with the smooth hojicha. I also had their version of a ham and cheese croissant, which was the perfect bite of energy before a day at the beach. They also sell retail goods here, so I of course had to pick up one of the t-shirts to remember this trip. This coffee shop had plenty of space, and a breakfast menu. The workers here are super sweet and friendly. I also loved that they gave us some recs as it was our first time here. Parking was a little confusing, so we opted to do street parking just to be safe. We also came right at opening so there weren't any crowds.

hojicha latte (unsweetened with regular milk) - excellent ratio of milk and tea :)

Breakfast Burrito: It's not your typical breakfast burrito. Pressed flat, it's more like a panini in that way but that aspect of it allows the flavors to really blend together. The bacon is cooked perfectly, not too hard, not too soft. The chipotle crema adds some sauciness as well. I'm big on sauce and I'm usually dousing my breakfast burritos in sauce but this one didn't need it. Hojicha: It's hard enough finding a decent matcha in the area (especially coming from the OC) let alone a hojicha. Whoever whisked me the hojicha made me a fresh batch and it really made all the difference. Their hojicha comes unsweetened instead of pre-sweetened so that's already a plus in my book so I could really taste the roasted-ness (in comparison to a matcha, for example). Wasn't too watered down by the milk - the barista who made this one didn't put too much milk in my drink. Matcha: I would pass on this but it could be how it was made. I had the matcha on a different day so it wasn't the same barista. I chose to do this one unsweetened as well. The milk to tea ratio was a bit off, the amount of milk overwhelmed the matcha and the light green color of my matcha made it obvious. I would not order this again. The service is quick and friendly, the staff knows their menu inside and out and are able to make recommendations if you're unsure about what to get. I've been here on two different occasions. The first time it was more of a quiet day. There aren't enough outlets so I wish there were just more of those. The second time was on a busier Saturday. There wasn't enough room to walk around the most of the people didn't seem to have enough spatial awareness to allow others to go around them. I'd go on a quieter day if you want to be able to enjoy the space.

Cute & quality place! Lots of good seating both in door and outdoor. I wad thrilled when I was a black sesame iced americano on the menu. Never seen anything like that. I also loved that it was an americano and not cold brew but because cb can really give me the jitters. This was perfect. Service was friendly. Banner coffee made a fun road trip stop!

Pretty good coffee spot with good coffee, drinks and decent breakfast burrito. My wife got the avocado toast, and I got the breakfast burrito and we are both pretty pleased with it although the burrito kind of fell apart and it was a little messy from the aïoli that they put into it. Everything seemed pretty new and clean. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of places to sit I would come back here. Service was pretty good and Quick.

I discovered Banner Coffee Company a few months ago through social media, and it has quickly become one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in SLO County. The space is modern, minimalist, and incredibly open--perfect for getting work done when I need a change of scenery from working from home. What really sets Banner apart is their commitment to high-quality, single-origin coffee. They feature some of the best roasters I've seen in the area, including HEX (North Carolina) and Stereoscope (Los Angeles), both in their drinks and as whole beans for sale. Their team is always friendly, and every drink is crafted with great attention to detail--favorites so far include the Maple Butterscotch Latte, Stereoscope single-origin espresso (served beautifully with tonic water), and the Honey Cinnamon Latte. Everything I've tried has been exceptional, standing out from other coffee shops in the area. Banner is a true gem on the Central Coast--energetic, modern, and serving up some of the best coffees around SLO county. I'll definitely be coming back for years to come!

Another great coffee shop! Super delicious pastries...we got the chocolate crescent and scones that was bacon date. Other breakfast options. Really friendly service and big sitting area inside and out. Clean and comfortable. Lot's of great drinks to pick from.

I recently moved and stumbled across Banner Coffee since it's close to my workplace, and I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious, and the coffee was absolute perfection. Very rarely do I say that about coffee; it usually needs either more milk or more sweetener, but in this case, it needed nothing at all. It was smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The staff was friendly, and the coffee shop had an open, welcoming feel with plenty of seating. We especially loved all the Dodger bobbleheads on display! I can't wait to go back!

The coffee here is LEGIT, for a TRUE craft coffee connoisseur. The ambiance is wonderful coffee ambiance for anyone looking to concentrate, study or catch up with a friend. Plenty of seating and it's spaced out. The service is just fine :) I'm from Los Angeles. I travel through on the 101 on my way to Monterey, a few times a year. I stay over in SLO or Pismo Beach & I'm always on the hunt for true good coffee at every city between home and my destination. Coffee beans are everything, besides what you do with them, for my drink. It's very difficult to gauge coffee spots on Yelp as you leave SoCal, because they're usually overly positive and the reviewers vary in what they like out of a coffee shop. But I finally found a winner & a keeper in Banner Coffee! Like I said, the coffee is legitimate in roast, flavor, and execution. Nothing gimmicky here, just serious true coffee. This is my top pic in this whole area. I'm so glad I gave it a shot. As a true coffee connoisseur - I recommend :)

Menu... cool offerings! No heavy cream.

It got busy but our food was served on time. They're not cheap with the serving size. You get a lot! I hope they keep it the same. It did get kinda loud with people talking so I hope they can improve that somehow and some fans would be useful. But for a new restaurant is a great start 10 stars !!

THERE WAS HAIR AND SPOILED SALMON served to us in the salmon bagel. As well the bagel itself was not toasted and it was so PLAIN. That itself was the worst part. As well, we are a party of 6, and all parties of 6 are forced to do 20% tip but for not the best service. We expected to have good service but it was just not the best, they wouldn't check up on us, and they didn't welcome us in. The staff itself did not check up on us, and the food took a long time and the time to get seated took a long time as well. It took more than 30 minutes to get seated and it took 20 minutes to receive food. The steak and eggs were good, they were actually seasoned, but the portion was so small for $24 dollars. The american breakfast was extremely plain, and the bacon was burnt and the eggs were unseasoned. As well, the portion of everything was extremely small. The breakfast burrito was good, and it was a good portion. The eggs benedict was just very plain, and has no flavor. As well, the muffins were not toasted. The chicken sandwich was very plain, the chicken was practically white and only seasoned with pepper. It has slamdown on the name and it was not flavorful at all. The fries were also just frozen fries with no seasoning. Not the best, and not worth the price. Especially to have hair and spoiled brown salmon
