    Dobladitas with carne asada

Amazing little Cafe spot delicious breakfast dobladitas with carne asada. Atmosphere is delightful and customer service is great friendly and good vibes

Reading, games, crayons, and toys for anyone to use in the restaurant! Lots of community photos, paintings and art. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful surprise on our way to the airport! Fantastic food, we had the breakfast burrito and the tamales with scrambled eggs.....Lordy, they are authentic and delicious. The Mamas matcha is fantastic and not too sweet. And the staff were so nice and informative with our special requests and newbie experience with the restroom situation. (Need to exit back of restaurant...open to hallway and punch in key code for restroom) totally normal for Cali but being from Ohio....just needed a bit of guidance. Extremely CLEAN bathrooms btw!

Yummy breakfast. We had huevos rancheros and pancakes. They have a wide and interesting selection of coffees, machas and horchatas. No frills. Just delicious food snd good service. We love a place where our dog is welcome.

We've been wanting to try this and I'm so glad we did!! My husband got a hot Maya cocoa latte and I just got an orange juice but both were so good! He got a concha which was one of the better ones we've had in SLO county tbh and I got the special carnitas chilaquiles and it was so heartwarming and packed with flavor! A lot of onions I probably would've asked for less or on the side but they were still good! The ambiance is so cute, it's community-filled with kids drawings all over the place! Counter service was quick and nice, not much seating and was pretty packed so I'd def keep that in mind when going. Worth it tho!

This is our go-to coffee shop whenever we're in town! It's a cozy Mexican-style café and restaurant that always delivers amazing drinks, pastries, and food. This time I tried the mole burrito -- I thought I'd like it a bit more, but I'm still glad I gave it a try. That's one of the best things about this place: there are always so many delicious options to choose from. The only downside is how small the space is -- good luck finding a seat, especially on weekends. It's always pretty crowded when we go, but never enough to keep us from coming back. Definitely worth the stop every time!

Nice little dining place in downtown SLO. They have multiple selections of specially crafted coffee so we tried the iced Horchatte and Mayan mocha - both were good although I favor the mocha more. The chilaquiles was delicious and I had the carne asada torta with chorizo, which was delectable. Try this place put if you are in town!

2 plates of chilaquiles.... Mayan Mocha Latte tasted like no coffee but a really good cold chocolate abuelita... mixed feelings

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA We came here Sunday Morning for Breakfast and Coffee. They were busy. Corazon Cafe is located in downtown SLO. Decor is nice and colorful. Tables are small and comfy-ish. It doesn't look like its designed for a party over 4 people. Over all a cute and friendly shop. Like most restaurants and business Downtown It doesn't have its own parking. Parking on the St. Is metered and limited. Parking structures avail. Only a few blocks away. Restaurant can be stuffed with customers on a Sunday, so space and seating could be limited. Also common for restaurants in downtown Slo. People were accidentally rubbing and bumping into eachother, that is what we noticed but all in good spirits, everyone was friendly. No refrigeration. If its a hot day outside, more likely it will be hotter inside Corazon Cafe. Service is helpful and friendly. We didn't want to wait for our food long, but as soon as we thought of leaving at the very beginning, the gentlemen at the register said it would be from 20 to 30 min. We thought that was very considerate and smart of him to establish a time limit and so we stayed. Waited in Line about 15 minutes to order. Ordered 2 plates of chilaquiles and 2 coffees. Cashier was friendly and helpful. We found a table available as soon as we finished ordering. Food and coffee were both ready in under 15 min. Food / plate/ coffee presentation looked very nice. We notice the portions are small or smaller than average. Only Entrees served but No Sides. Price point was anywhere between $25 and $30 dlls per person. We got an entree and a coffee each. Paid 64 dlls total. Tax and tip included. Food lacks flavor. Chilaquiles were under seasoned and dry. There was not enough sauce in either of our plates. Green and red sauce were both bland and somewhat tasteless. Mole chicken didn't taste like an original mole and the dishes also lacked sides like rice and beans or maybe a queso fresco slice or a little salad. Just something could mean a great deal of difference. Coffees are good. My latte was very good. Decor and ambiance......4 stars Service.....5 stars Food presentation....5 stars Green chilaquiles....... 0 stars Red chilaquiles with mole chicken.... 0 stars Horchata Latte..... 5 stars Mayan Latte... 2 stars. Good but couldn't taste the espresso. We will come back for coffee but for a great breakfast we will have to skip chilaquiles and maybe try a different option. We are still on the lookout for the best breakfast in Slo just so we can recommend great places to the over 1000 customers we deal with on a monthly basis who are often visitors. We will give them another chance later on. Their hospitality was good. Recomendation to all Yelpers: Please Note the short replies to most reviews to form your perspective on this new establishment. Thank you. Happy Brunch!

Corazón Café is such a charming little spot! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is very much a simple, order-at-the-counter and sit-down café--perfect for a quick, delicious bite. Seating is somewhat limited, with mostly bar tops and two-tops, so it's better for smaller groups than larger parties. We tried the horchata latte, and it was absolutely delicious--sweet, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The red sauce chilaquiles were amazing, with just the right amount of flavor and heat. We added asada to ours; while the meat was a little chewy, it was still a nice protein option. The corn dobladitas with asada were also tasty and fresh, though I'd probably order them again without protein next time since the flavors stood out better on their own. Overall, everything was flavorful and satisfying. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu--it feels like one of those places where you discover a new favorite each time.

    Vegan chilaquiles and iced horchacha

Delicious food and drinks with great vegan options which I so appreciate! And so cute in there with sweet and friendly staff love the horchacha (horchata matcha)

I had been wanting to try this place for months, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. The Mayan Mocha, made with chocolate from Chiapas, tasted more like sweet chocolate milk than a rich, complex cocoa. As for the food, I was genuinely disappointed. I ordered chilaquiles and expected bold flavor, proper texture, and the traditional sides that usually complete the dish. Instead, it felt like tortillas covered in diluted red sauce. The flavor was flat, and for the price, I expected much more. However! I also tried the Horchata Latte, and that was actually very good -- flavorful and nicely balanced. I might come back to explore more of their coffee menu. As for the food, though, I wouldn't order it again at this time. Corazon Cafe is great if you're looking for a cute atmosphere and Insta photos. But if you're craving authentic Mexican breakfast, you may leave underwhelmed.

I didn't say grace before I ate but my first spoonful of pazole had me feeling blessed. Couldn't recommend it any higher. I'm someone that typically doctors my soups with various things (oregano, onion, hot sauce, etc.) and there was nothing to add here. It was all there, along with a lime wedge to add a little citrus kick. My mocha was super on point and my gf loved her latte. The chilaquiles were a casualty of greatness in that they were good but paled in comparison to the soup and coffee. We'll definitely be back. Service was great. Inside space was a little tight but seating was readily available outside and we were checked on with perfect cadence. Try it or diet? Do yourself a favor and try it.

The food was so delicious! Came for my bday and was our first time trying this place . The chilaquiles were to die for ! We also got a lemonade which is so refreshing and an Arnold Palmer . The staff were incredibly friendly . Will definitely come back to try more dishes .

    Vegan pozole
    Santas H.

Found vegan pozole in this small town of San Luis Obispo. They also have a few other vegan options like chilaquiles. When it comes to go out to eat a vegan it can be a challenge at times. This food tasted extremely heart healthy. Not to mention the decor inside was so inviting. My food came out quickly. Overall, would come back here when back in San Luis Obispo.

I had the Paloma cocktail and it was well balanced and beautifully presented. The chips and salsa were good but on the smaller size - salsas were flavorful and not too spicy. The beef plate was good with a mid rare steak (how I like it). Would've liked to see more guac on the plate and there were some small squash things in the vegetable mix that were a good sr flavor addition. I was able to add tortillas to my order which helped make the plate into some tacos. Finished with some churros which were warm, a good amount of cinnamon, and came with two tasty sauces. Our server was so nice and spoke about the area and made some suggestions of places to see. They were attentive to tables too which was nice in a full busy restaurant. Would recommend!

You walk into a place like Condesa and you know pretty quickly whether it's trying too hard or if…read moreit actually gets it. This one gets it. The room is tight. Not cramped, intentional. Low light, clean lines, just enough edge to remind you that someone here has spent time in Mexico City and came back with ideas instead of souvenirs. It hums. A young crowd, good clothes, better energy. The kind of after-work spillover that feels less like the Central Coast and more like a warm night in San Jose. Carefree, a little loud, and exactly where you want to be when you are not ready to go home yet. You sit down and the first thing that hits the table is guacamole, but not the tired, over-mashed version that shows up everywhere else. This one comes alive with thick, unapologetic slabs of pork belly chicharrón. Not delicate. Not subtle. Crunch that echoes. Fat that lingers. It is the kind of bite that makes you stop mid-conversation and rethink what the rest of the meal might look like. Then the enchiladas. The mole is dark and layered, a little mysterious in the way good mole should be. It does not beg for attention, it earns it. There is depth there. Chocolate, spice, something smoky, something almost bitter in the right way. The kind of sauce that reminds you this dish has history, not just a recipe. The enchiladas suizas come in brighter and greener. Creamy without feeling heavy. Balanced. If the mole is a late-night conversation, the suizas feel like an easy laugh that turns into something more. And the drinks are where the place really shows off. A passion fruit 75 that cuts through the richness with just enough acidity and sparkle. Then a hibiscus mule that is floral, sharp, and just dangerous enough that you finish it faster than you meant to. These are not afterthoughts. They are part of the experience. That is the thing about Condesa. It understands that food and drink are not separate. They are one long conversation. It is not trying to be traditional, and that works in its favor. Too many places hide behind authenticity like it is a shield. This place moves forward. It takes what it loves about Mexico City, the energy, the layering of flavors, the confidence, and brings it here without watering it down. You leave full, a little buzzed, and thinking you should probably start going out more on weeknights.

It's one of those things where you don't know what you want but every menu all looks the same. We finally tried it out for dinner after a weekend in the wine country. The restaurant is right in the heart of downtown SLO next to the park and riverwalk. We had an early reservation at 6 on a Saturday and let me say the place was packed. The outside patio was completely full which was nice to see. Checking in was easy with the hostess. All was sweet and made it fast and simply and we were seated right away without having to wait for the whole party to arrive. Menu wise, a bit of everything but they specialized in paella's. And that was had. Our waitress Kaitlin was the sweetest. Right from the start, she was a major doll. Made sure we were taken care of throughout the whole dining experience. Started off with a bottle of red for the table. A good selections from their menu. Then a few small shared plates for the table. An order of the bacon wrapped dates, Brussels sprouts, Peruvian shrimp ceviche and the gambas al ajillo. First off the dates, very tasty with salty and sweet. A good bite size with about 6 piece. Then the ceviche, nice chunks of shrimp with all the trimming. Cucumber, red onions, tomatoes , avocado, cilantro and chips. Then you have the sprouts which is pretty self explanatory. Roasted to a nice crisp with golden raisins and almonds. Pretty decent and delicious. Lastly the gambas, sautéed shrimp in paprika garlic and white wine sauce with a Parmesan slice of sourdough bread. Everything was delicious and a good start to an amazing meal. I do recommend the starters. For our entree, even though we started off with loads of the shared plates. The mains all looked amazing. Clearly we had to have the paella which they're known for. There were couple options in them but we opted for the mix which was a combination of the seafood and meat paella. Let me say it was massive and clearly more than enough for four of us. The nice big chunks of seafood and meat which they did not skimp on. The flavors and the whole combination of everything together, chefs kiss. It was pretty massive as well. Of course we couldn't just stop there, we also had the lamb chops with frites. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. The hanger steak with chimichurri sauce accompanied by roasted potatoes and sautéed broccolini. That dish was excellent and steak was cooked perfectly. Lastly, I believe it was one of their specials the sea bass. A nice thick and flaky piece of fish on top of a red sauce of tomatoes, olives. The flavor was excellent and worth it. The food was excellent and it was a surprise when there were leftovers. We may have over done it with the extra entrees after seeing the massive platter of paella. But every dish was excellent and worth it. The service was great with everyone involved. Friendly staff and excellent customer service. The food and wine were great. The whole dining experience was top notch and greatly enjoyed. We will definitely be back. At least we know about the paella now...lol... A must and highly recommend. Too full to even looked at the dessert menu.

After checking out around half a dozen options, we decided on Luna red as the ambiance looked amazing and the menu had options for all the picky eaters in our group. We got seated outdoors and they had sufficient number of patio umbrellas to shelter us from the afternoon sun. The outdoors was really beautiful, they had plenty of greenery and it was like a tropical paradise. We got a lot of appetizers to share, they have options to order 4, 6 or 10 tacos. We got 10 start off with. I personally got a paella as it has been forever since I had it. *brussel sprouts- 4.5/5- one of the better versions of brussel sprouts I have had in a while, they were beautifully roasted, they retained their character but at the same time were delicious instead of tasting too healthy. *fingerling potatoes-4.5/5- potatoes tend to be tasty any which way they are cooked. The standout in this version was the finger licking sauce it was doused in. *paella- 4.5/5- I got the chicken paella. It came with a soft jammy egg. The dish had 75% protein and about 25% rice. The rice at the bottom was nicely crisped up. The chicken was in large chunks but surprisingly non funky and wonderfully flavored. I stole some of the sauce from the tacos to amp up this dish further. 4.5 for the food, rounding up for the good vibes and great ambiance!

I ordered the same thing again -- the enchiladas with beans and rice -- and this time I actually remembered to snap a picture. Must try. This visit was even better because I got to interact with the staff. I went for dinner, and the gentleman helping us was incredibly sweet. He took time to talk with my daughter, asked her little questions, and had her blushing and giggling the whole time. That kind of kindness really stands out. As a parent, it means a lot when staff are warm, patient, and know how to engage with children. My first visit was during the lunch rush, so I did not really get that experience, but tonight it was nice and quiet inside. I order the grilled fish that comes with cabbage, mango, ranch dressing, and pico de gallo. You can also get the fish breaded.
