Friday morning we found KeyKayaks and that they DELIVER FOR FREE! We did everything on the website, added a paddleboard and a tandem kayak, entered some info about our weights for the life jacket, and paid just $50 each. We asked for it to be delivered by 11am (an hour or so later than when I put in my order). I received a text about 30 minutes later that the delivery was 10 minutes away. Our hotel was right on the beach, so we just met the truck on the beach, and the delivery guy brought everything right onto the beach for us. He was so nice and friendly, got us all setup and was on his way. We had a great day on the board and in the kayak, just paddling around. All the equipment was pretty standard rental equipment, worked great for us! We had scheduled a pickup for 5pm, we got a call around 5:05 that he was 10 minutes away and they showed up and hauled everything away. What a great experience, so easy!

There was an older woman in the group who could not keep up and only after I expressed my concern about her did they double back and help her. No kayaking instruction, no nature instruction other than what not to touch under the mangroves. The guide played music and paddled away over and over at a rate that left the novice paddlers far behind. Consider checking skill levels of the group, stopping for regular check-ins, perhaps teaching about nature a bit?

We walked up and arranged having a guided tour on a jetski. It cost $170 for both of us to go out…read morewith both of us on one ski. He led us around the water ways on the gulf side for an hour. He would make kind "S" type curves keeping me on my toes. We followed in his wake so most of it was a really good ride. It took a bit of getting used to the ski since it was my first time but we quickly got the hang of it. Quickly I had us doing almost 40mph and enjoying the ride. Well worth it, do it!
