Deceptive: We asked about jet skiing, and were told that on this particular day, there was a small craft advisory. He said that it would be better to reserve for the next day since there might be a run on them once the weather improved. At no point did he say that the deposit was non-refundable. The next day it was chilly still windy, but not a wind advisory day. I called to cancel and he refused to accept it. If he had told me it was non-refundable, I certainly would have thought twice. Be aware of what he's NOT telling you. read more

Saw all of the keys. Only us with a guide. Learned all about the area and even got to snorkel and found a sea turtle thanks to our guides sharp eyes. Snorkeled the mangroves which I was kind of freaked out about but learned it is an ecosystem and truly lost all fear after that. Thank you for everything. read more

I could not have had a better time on the Jet Ski's. We stayed at Conch Key Fishing Lodge and walked out our door and down 10 steps to the dock where they had a great selection of jetskis. The owner/operator was a great guy who did a thorough briefing before we headed out. My girlfriend and I had a blast on the jetski. The owner was thorough with safety instructions and directions on where we could go. We maxed them out at 50 mph. It was a few minutes from Hawks Cay on Duck Key. Highly recommend. read more

We got two double kayaks for $50, which is a great price compared to others in the area. Place was also open late and flexible with rental timing since we were the last ones there that day. The guy who runs it, Bill, is great - friendly, helpful. Highly recommend this place. My only complaint for the kayaks is that there isn't a ton of great places to go- most things of note are far from the dock. There is a nice sandbar which you can park the kayak on and swim for a bit, and the water is pretty peaceful- not many boats or others around, so that was nice. read more

My husband and I wanted to Jet Ski on our honeymoon so we went to Wet Willie's. The owner was not in, so the office staff of Bayview charged us. We were on the 1st jet ski for about 10 mins before it started smoking. We couldnt get it to go more than 5 mph so we headed back in. We were given a 2nd jet ski. About 5 mins in same thing happened. We headed back in and told the staff to just refund our $. The next day i look in my bank account for refund, instead I see a 2nd charge but this time from Wet Willie's! I called up and spoke to owner. He said he had a photo copy of my credit card on file and since Bayview charged me on their system he decided to charge me again but from his system. From the minute I contacted him about renting a jet ski he was very accommodating..... from volunteering to stay open longer so we can spend more time on the water to allowing us to reserve a jet ski for today @10:30am with no collateral or money down (who does that ) Then, I woke up this morning to find a message waiting from him letting us know that there is a small craft advisory for the Florida Keys today and for our safety he kindly advised us of these weather conditions ahead of time so we didn't have to drive there to find this out! He helped us get photos and was accurate in his descriptions of what to expect and how to operate the jet-skis. We had a wonderful time! Watch out for shallow water if you plan to jet-ski anywhere in the keys. If you study the areas you plan to ski you will be fine. Bill was so nice and even allowed us to take a free paddle on his nice racer SUP. Lots to see in the water. We seen a school of tarpon, trunkfish, barracuda and a turtle. Beautiful clear water. We paddle in the keys often, but this was a step up for us. The jet-ski we rented ran really good. And had better power than my Kawasaki 100 HP. that we had years back. Let me start by saying, I have been traveling to the keys twice a year (February and August) for the past 3 years for work. In my down time, I like to explore the sites and see as much wildlife as possible. I have rented a boat or jet ski every time I've traveled here, each time at a different location. Wet Willies is by far the best and most affordable of all the places i have tried. From now on, I will be renting from Bill at Wet Willys and no one else! I stopped by on a whim after reading a ton of reviews and checking around for prices. Bill offered the most affordable deal and was very lax about the rules and where I wanted to take the ski. He let me choose from 2 skis he had available and gave me a brief overview of how they work and where to go. He appreciated that I had plenty of experience riding jet skis and driving boats...and didnt waste my time with minutia like most places do. The hotel where this business is located, was recently purchased by new owners and was in the process of renovations. The staff I encountered were very friendly and accomodating. They even made me a sandwhich to take on the ride. Their dog on site was also very friendly and his name is awesome! (Rico Suave!!! Lol). After enjoying 2 hours on the water, Bill welcomed me back and took some photos of me returning to the dock. He also said I could come back anytime and rent one of his kayaks at no charge since it was included in the rental of the jet ski. Bill is a fairly new small business owner and does a great job of taking care of his customers. I much rather support small local businesses like Wet Willy's than some of the larger more, well known, rip off rentals by the major hotel chains. Thanks again Bill for everything. I'll be back on friday to rent again and will be back to rent from you at least twice a year when i travel here for work. I will spread the word to those i know about your business. Best jet ski place to go to! Excellent customer service. Willie will help you with any problem and even come save you if you stuck out in the ocean for some reason. Has happened to us TWICE!
