Funny thing is that I was at that class yesterday but the staff was new and she had no idea how to deal with another no show fee on my account. So she let me in and that's why I had that fee on my account . I called today and I spoke with a guy on the phone explaining the issue. He said he is going to remove both my fees on my account. After few hours I called again since the fee was not removed and he answered after a long wait that he will remove it when he will have time, he is busy doing other staff. I explained I have a class at 5 pm and I don't want to explain again the full story to another adviser. He did not listen nor removed my fees. I arrived at the gym and I asked to speak to the same guy. I was very frustrated with the poor level of service already. He did not apologise nothing. Instead of listening to me he decided to tell me I am rude and he called his general manager. The general manager was very rude and not listening. I explained to him is not about the money for those fees. I explained I am unhappy with the fact I was wasting time all day on the calls and no one had time for their customers; The general manager threaten me in front of everyone that will cancel my membership. In the end he did not so why the threating then? What a rude staff all together. If you don't have time to deal with your customers and you don't care about customers feedback then you should not operate as a business. Customers are important because they drive revenues. You should listen more and make some time for your customers if you want to grow as business.

Over the summer the kids get a break from training with Anaconda swimming club - our usual 4…read moresessions a week turns into a weekly tour of the best leisure pools in reach of London with an emphasis on fun. We are big fans of slides and flumes and each year seek out the new and return to old favourites. And this pool is an old favourite - perhaps the all time favourite. 39 minutes on the train from Blackfriars and you emerge at Swanley and then a 10/15 minute walk through the grim shopping centre (not a single coffee shop - what is that about?) and some residential greenery and you find the rather uninspiring (at first sight) Whiteoak Leisure Centre. Two floors down in the basement is a rather lovely L shaped 33m pool with a dedicated diving area (1m, 3m and 5m boards). No slides or water jets or bubbles or waves on offer. However, through a door to the back of the pool was the flume area - 3 great slides Shark - a superfast straight slide that belongs at Thorpe Park, Dolphin a more leisurely and longer slide and the Whale - a giant sit on inflatable ring slide. Minimal queues and great fun. On our last visit we spent nearly 3 hours sampling the delights, doing some training lengths and jumping from the 3m boards. Honestly if your kids love to swim then this is a journey you really should make. The changing rooms are a bit tatty and the showers are only ok - skip the cafe plenty of green spots for a picnic - none of that matters as these flumes are really the best in reach of London (that we have discovered so far). We probably make the trek here 4 times a year - best on a really hot day as the flume area can get chilly if not warmed up by sunshine.

I've been coming here for years and have finally seen one too many examples of appallingly bad…read moreconduct from the lifeguards. In my time coming here I've seen a lifeguard laugh at a disorientated, dehydrated old man asking for water and tell him to go buy some from the vending machine. I had to deal with it. I've seen people in the showers with all the drain covers off so anyone could stick their foot in the large, wide holes and break their ankle. Just a week ago I pointed out that the lanes were set up going in the wrong direction and that the children in the lane next to the adult fast lane could get injured by clashing arms . The lifeguard threw his arms up angrily and more or less said he didn't care. The swimming coach of the children dealt with it. When I later explained to the lifeguard why the lane directions alternate he stared in the other direction with his arms crossed saying "alright mate, alright mate" repeatedly like a sulking thirteen year old. The swimming lessons are very good and the teachers very professional - possibly the staff are from a different company. Other than that I'm stuck in a membership with this centre and have no desire whatsoever to have to keep dealing with the minority of rude, immature lifeguards.

I Cancelled the membership the day afterwards and two years later discovered they had issued a County Court Judgement against me! Parkwood Leisure, who own the centres are not nice people to deal with, they are insensative and hide behind 'guidelines' so please please please tread very carefully.

And lately it seems they have a problem with their fire alarm system, it was activated several time in a past few months (and you could imaging evacuating from the swimming pool is a nightmare especially with wet frightened children!). And they even refused to refund me after we had to leave the premises when the false fire alarm was activated. I'll not be back there until they start to care about their customers.

I had an issue with receptionist MIA and Manager EMILY on sunday. Posted a Google review and my membership suspended because of my Google review. He also told me my 30 day suspension I would not receive a refund for the time I could not use the Gym. I believe this is a racial attack

Place is freezing cold and dirty and the timetable is an absolute shambles! This week for example, they have clubs on mid morning for kids aged 6-10???? The kids are at school so why are these classes on? When we had the tour, what we was promised is just not true.... Said we can work there during the day.... However the temp has been freezing and there are not enough plug sockets! Most classes are full and kids classes are advertised then cancelled last minute. As well as events being cancelled last minute. Also some of the kids classes in the holidays are at an additional cost. Flies appearing more and more, the kids noticed them yesterday whilst eating. Family changing room stinks! Dirty towels last night overflowing in ladies changing room. Passes dont work properly in the function area! On a timer so you get stuck in the room. No overshoe covers available. Could go on and on....... Read reviews before you sign up! And check the timetable.... No yoga/pilates/spirit/meditation or anything like that on past 2pm so if you work you cant do these classes. I contacted head office because of the unexpected price increase and they couldnt care less! Spoke to a really rude lady who basically said nothing we can do! Classes are full so unless you book the minute they become available on the app, you dont get to do them. We pay for a service/product that we are not getting. Staff are lovely and the kids club staff are wonderful. Gym is nice and lots of equipment but weigh up if its worth it because everthing else is a dissapointment including the service. Especially from the CEO, who just passed on the complaint to someone else and just saying nothing can be done! No apology, nothing! You would think they would try to retain their members! Oh and not to memtion that pretty much every week something is not working, whether its the barriers, the sauna, jacuzzi.... Just always something!
