I've been ordering weekly delivery from here for a while now. I get lunches to take to the office with me so I'm not left eating my home cooked leftovers for every meal. I have a few favorites that I'll always order (frito pie, lasagna, Alfredo) and some that I've learned to avoid (meatloaf, lemon pepper tofu). Their peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are amazing and I always get some. I do wish they'd rotate menu items or come up with new ones more often though. The delivery drivers are always super nice. Shout out to Yelp for helping me find Vegan food on the fly. First time coming to this place so I didn't know what to expect. I thought this place sold hot food on the go..... my fault for not really paying attention to details Lol! They actually sell meal prep items with a new menu weekly to place an order for the following week, and they sell ready to eat vegan meals on the go. I wanted to try the Jambalaya & Frito Pie but, unfortunately they were sold out. I was informed that their Alfredo and Vegan Mac are their top sellers. I was kind of liery of deciding because most items I was not familiar with. I went ahead & opted for the regular Vegan Mac. The results: Maaaaan Fire this ish was so good made me want to curse. There was no after taste, 5he pasta was very creamy & it was seasoned perfect! The zucchini & broccoli went very well with it, I just wish I had more. After hearing/seeing rave reviews, I had really high expectations. I dropped in today and was a little put off by the high prices to serving size ratio. Not an issue, just my opinion right off the bat. I grabbed a couple of chili pies for a late lunch. The instructions are simple, I like the semi-sustainable containers. The flavor of the chili pie is extremely lacking- it was very bland and mostly comprised of texture as opposed to taste. I ended up adding salt, chili powder, and garlic powder. The dish is more like an enchilada casserole without the crunch of chips. Next time I'm in the area, I'll try something else and update my review. But for now, 3 out of 5 seems generous. We were driving to a Funeral in Dallas and being vegan is a challenge. So we looked them up on-line. We arrived at about 1:00 on Tuesday, the day after Labor Day. We were disappointed that they had no eat-in service, and they told us the previous day they had been overwhelmed with business. They did have a microwave to heat our our food on the spot, and the food they had left was good. The Staff was friendly and helpful. We recommend them to fellow vegans who are not feeling like cooking and want a great dish to take home. Not great for a sit-down meal. The tamale pie and pudding weren't bad either, but not quite as flavorful as the other 2. They have a small eating area there if u want to stay and a microwave to heat up the food since everything is kept in a fridge when u buy it. They have food, sweets, and smoothies available. Cons: The counter girl does not do the greatest job on selling the food. I asked what was baked or cooked fresh today and she replied with "nothing". That was disappointing. I would recommend a follow up to nothing with something cooked yesterday or what are customer favorites. Also, the stickers that say "30% off - expiring soon" are quite a turn off. I understand you are trying to sell those items, but it just isn't a good look. So I would definitely recommend better marketing and sales skills at this store. read more

The manager here, Cameron, was very swell at customer service and helping us find the best of what they had to offer! This location is new to this particular area, but that doesn't mean that they're short on good service. I loved finding this vegan plant based prepared food business in Dallas! Cameron helped answer all of my vegan questions, that servers and other regular business usually get troubled with lol, and he did it with charm. I love the concept of this place. I have been a long-time fan of Snap Kitchen, which is a similar concept. I may be converted to Nature's Plate instead in a matter of one try. Why you may ask? They have a rotating weekly menu (which Snap does not), they use organic / non-gmo ingredients (which Snap does not) and they are cheaper on average compared to Snap. I utilize their weekly plan of 5 regular meals at $37/week and do the insulated bag exchange; it's perfect not to have to drive to a new place each day to eat a healthy lunch! read more

This place is amazing! I've been a subscriber for a handful of years now, & I'll never use another food ""subscription" service. First off, the people are SO kind! I almost destroyed Thanksgiving a couple of years ago because I couldn't pick up my Nature's Plate order on time, & a super friendly & incredibly helpful worker actually *drove it to me* on her own time to make sure I'd get my Thanksgiving food! (It was all so wonderful & even my meat-eating in-laws & husband enjoyed it!) As a gluten-free vegan with a chronically ill autoimmune disorder, I depend on Nature's Plate for the majority of my meals since I never know when I'll feel well enough to cook. Their meals are SO delicious & healthy! Huge bonus: their regular meals are constructed so you get all of your needed nutrients for around 400 calories. I didn't realize I was eating too-large-sized portions until I subscribed to NP & promptly lost 20 lbs! Super happy about that. Also the fact that it's woman (& sister) owned is awesome! I happened to wander into nature's plate and saw that they have refrigerated meals in containers much like snap kitchen. When you walk in, you immediately notice the kitchen. Happy vegans just food prepping away. I ordered the green smoothie, which was kale, ginger, and a few other fruits. I'll just say it's an acquired taste, but I managed to finish it knowing deep down that it's good for me. I'd probably order it once in awhile. But if you like kale and ginger, go for it! I got the lasagna and veggie mac, and the veggie mac was my favorite! I couldn't believe that it was vegan! It's not the same as conventional mac and cheese, but it's a nice substitute. Be prepared that all of these organic ingredients aren't cheap so you won't get the wind knocked out of you like I did when I checked out. The meals were good, the food culture is commendable, and the people who work there are just so damn nice and happy (I've never seen anyone look so peaceful and content chopping up vegetables). This is THE place to experiment and commit to a plant-based eating lifestyle. My fiance studied for the Texas Bar over the last 3 months and before Nature's Plate, constantly got too full left without steam to study. Enter Nature's Plate and not only have we both lost weight (6 percent body fat for me, and 10 lbs for him) but we've both been less obsessed with food. We even brought all of his meals to his 3-day exam in Houston so that the food could do what it is designed to do - FUEL you. Their meals are that good. Favorites are the broccoli peanut dish, loaded sweet potato, pesto meatball dish, chili and the lasagne. The peanut butter smoothies are awesome, and the recipes for the soups are unexpected and so, so good. What makes us so happy about this experience and grateful is not just the convenient location (come on people, it's off NW Hwy-anyone can go there) but the love that the owner throws into her food. Tonight, when reading the ingredients I noticed she put in a small bit of OJ into the black bean enchiladas. Recently was drawn to a more plant based lifestyle. I work for a place with a similar concept, but our vegan/vegetarian meals are limited and only rotate a couple times every few months. A friend recommended this place since I was getting tired of our food, and OMG I'm so so glad I checked it out. It was so good I came back two days back to back. The first time I just picked up the cheese enchiladas, bean enchiladas, veggie mac, a brownie, and the coconut strawberry smoothie. Everything I got that day was delicious, but the veggie mac & cheese enchiladas were my favorite. The next day I picked up the Tofu with brown rice, Jambalaya & more mac and cheese. The tofu was great, the jambalaya I didn't care for too much. The only downfall is that I really wish they provided the nutritional info & macros on their labels, but I love that they include the ingredients and use MOSTLY organic ingredients!! The place is a little small, but they provide a microwave if you chose to eat there, and a small seating area outside or inside. I will say I found it so cool that you can literally see into the kitchen so you can see them actually cooking and packing the meals. Today I popped in to Nature's Plate with my daughter, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly and very happy to help with any questions you may have. My daughter is vegan and she's always excited to find any place that offers good clean plant based meals. Today she had the Veggie Mac & Cheese on her mind, (we shared a bowl) and it is pretty darn good.... it's hard to believe it's vegan. There's a small little bar facing the windows for the people-watching folks dining in. She also ordered the Vegan Tortilla Soup, Lentil Sloppy Joe's, Hummus and Quinoa Tabbouleh to take home. I can only vouch for the Veggie Mac and as I said it was delicious. This store is clean and bright, and the atmosphere is so welcoming / inviting. I bought a bunch of Groupons based on my nextdoor app neighbots' raving reviews. Have been vegetarian/vegan for years so have experienced much good vegan cuisine. I went on a Monday to pick up a few meals and was told they had a busy weekend aonthey did not have that much to offer. And, was she right. It should not matter whether it is busy is slow, there should be a decent selection of meals from which you select. From the slim pickings, I picked up a curry and a quinoa stew. Both were totally blah. I am not a big fan of squash or pumpkin and the stew was full of butter nut squash or somethibg that it was hard for me to eat it. The curry was so bland that i was so disapppinted because i am a huge curry fan. Even I, who cannot cook much, can do better than that. I was totally not impressed and unsure whether I really want to use the remaining Groupons. Not sure what my neighbors were talking about. :( read more

This place is a godsend for providing healthy meals at a knockout price. I can order lunch and dinner for the entire school week for under $90. I am too busy with school to make such elaborate meals myself everyday, so Nature's Plate is the perfect compromise. The people are extremely friendly and welcoming. I paused my subscription for some time and when I came back, one of the employees remembered me, which was impressive. I also like the fact that they hold cooking classes on a regular basis. I have yet to attend a cooking class, but I probably will over the summer. The food is excellent. My favorites are their cranberry chickpea salad wrap and their UnTuna salad. Low calorie and low sodium, this place is perfect if you want to maintain a healthy diet. The food is great tasting and I rarely have a bad meal on the meal plan-- most likely due in part to the fact that I can select which meals I want for the week, my favorite aspect of the meal plan. Food tastes healthy and I was in and out pretty quick. A bit turned off by the service. Never been here before and had a couple of questions. Employee greeted quickly and got back to making smoothies. I stood at the counter for a while before asking if all the food was in the cooler and how does it work. Gave me a quick yeah and gestured to the counter with fruit, told me she was busy and that's why she didn't get to me. Probably having a busy/rough day, but didn't feel the friendly service throughout my visit that I read in previous reviews. Had enchiladas and Tex-Mex bowl. Cheese is very tasty. There's a yummy, unique flavor I couldn't put my finger on throughout the meal. My husband and I subscribed to the 5-day-a-week meal plan and we couldn't be happier. We were stuck in a poor eating rut (as in, I'm not sure when I last ate an actual vegetable) and wanted to make a change for the better, but I had a hard time believing that a diet consisting mostly of plant-based foods could possibly taste good and be satisfying since I typically avoid salads and begrudgingly eat vegetables as occasional side dishes. I have been absolutely shocked by how delicious everything has been! A few of my favorites so far are the veggie mac, tofu scramble taco, black bean & quinoa taco, enchiladas, chickpea jalfrezi, tortilla soup, cranberry chickpea salad, quinoa and black bean salad, and oatmeal raisin cookies (and the lemon tahini salad dressing is awesome). I will admit I'm a wannabe health nut. We eat out too much (hence the wannabe) but when I do prepare food at home I try to stay in the plant based/organic/no sugar/grain free realm. I noticed this place when it was not yet open in the shopping center (we had stopped by the hardware store to see if they really had baby chickens & they do!). So I saw the storefront, I've read about this new business & I've told myself to try them out (instead of eating out) more than once....but never did. Until the other day when I saw one of those G coupon deals, so I said "yep sign me up I'm trying it!" I went to turn my 5 large entrée voucher in today & ended up with a little of everything: salad, eggless egg salad sandwich filling, shepherds pie, enchiladas, soup & a tofu dish (we love tofu). I returned home & ate for lunch the side salad (lettuce was so fresh & clean and perfectly dry - I hate soggy lettuce & it had a tangy lemon tahini dressing). It was good. Heated up the shepards pie & OMG I would have eaten a second serving if I had more to eat. I've made vegan Shepards pie before but it was never this delish! I also had to crack into the eggless egg salad for a taste - I loved it, I'm not sure my girls will because they have a serious hatred for celery but I could eat the entire tub. I don't know about the rest of my meals, but I'm pretty sure they are going to be solid choices as well. Do yourself a favor this new year, try a healthy take home meal, you will not be sorry! If nothing else try it because it's important to support nice local people in their small business endeavors! I stock up on Sunday with a weeks worth of lunches and I know that I won't be running through the closest drive through or worse, not eating at all. I'm not vegan, but I love the dishes I've had so far and I've had a fair amount of their main dishes. We have been purchasing meals for a few weeks and haven't had a big problem with getting a good selection of meals, but I do want to start ordering food on Saturday just in case. This place is great. I went there for the first time today to grab a meal for lunch. A lot of their meals are very high in carbs. Good carbs but still... so I went with the red Thai tofu meal with brown rice. It was the meal with the lowest carbs. It was a little pricey for the size but very tasty. I love the ingredients. All natural. I added a little side of peas to satisfy my hunger but otherwise I was very pleased by this meal. Considering the price, I think that this place is a good idea once a week or so.
