I was originally lured to this chain because I wanted to try "The Paleo Bread" and they were one of the few retailers in my area to carry it. I came to this particular store because I was already in the area on other business Access and parking are decent for this area (the Preston Forest area is a haven for high end shops serving a number of shoppers, so it can be crowded at times). Coming in to the store, there are two sizes of carts available plus plastic hand baskets. The store is laid out in a very intuitive fashion, with foods on the left as you come in, moving towards supplements and other products on the right. It's well lit, clean and overall projects a calm, inviting atmosphere. The product selection is vast for a store this size, including many brands that I'm familiar with and a number that I'm not. I picked up some NuStevia packets for several bucks cheaper tthan GNC, and I did, indeed, find The Paleo Bread as well, but at $10 per loaf (!) and not a great eating experience, it's my last experiment with that (no fault of Natural Grocers, though). Overall, this is a great place to shop for those that are looking for these kinds of goods. Competitor Whole Foods is right across the street, so I suspect they keep each other honest on pricing and products. Check them out!

Large selection of fresh, organic veggies!

Natural Grocers gets right to the point. Not as many options as other chain stores, but they have carefully curated the best of each item type. Perfect if you're an organic foodie, lactose intolerant, or have a sensitivity to gluten. Everything is clearly labeled. The store is easy to navigate & in case you do need assistance, the staff is incredibly knowledgable especially when it comes to their large vitamin selection. Prices are most times half the price of Whole Foods across the street. My only wish is that they had a larger fruit selection. Make sure you bring your own bags or buy a reusable tote at the front or else you'll be carrying your groceries out in boxes. Edit: After this review, Rita reached out to me regarding my wish for my fruit. Boom, there's now more fruit! It's comforting to see a business care for their customers. I couldn't be happier!

Staff are super friendly, and there were cashiers at every check out lane. I've been disappointed by other locations recently as they frequently are out of stock of essential items, groceries weren't fresh, and hot food items were old and overcooked, but that wasn't the case here. I admit I don't know that much about the inner workings of grocery store operations and management, but I can tell whoever is in charge of this specific location is going above and beyond.

Adore the frozen suggestions for desserts, pie crust and/or appetizer suggestions. Made to order sushi seemed to discontinued. Bummer! I say bring it back! Staff is consistently helpful and venue cleanly. The floral, produce, and cheese staff are lovely and knowledgeable. If you're cooking /eating the items that day/close to, there's an app to pre-arrange larger orders with: Too Good To Go. For my gardeners - seasonal foliage tends to have cool offerings. Let me put you on to the promotions for supplements and/or skincare. You can get those quality products for good rates. Lots of seating upstairs in or outside, weather permitting. If you sit outside, the birds give zero. So, hang on to your napkins. Mind the Mahjong crew on certain days. Stow your valuables in your trunk/take them with you. Save your receipt. If something has gone bad, they're good about returns. Ample parking in the lot. Happy shopping!

10 Stars for Central Market! I used to think Central Market…read morewas only for rich people with fancy carts and truffle oil addictions... until I learned the tricks. First tip: sign up for their newsletter--I got a $5 coupon just for joining. Then the deals kept rolling in. But the real game-changer? Their app. Sometimes they'll drop a coupon on top of an already discounted item. Last time it was strawberries--already on sale, and boom, $2 off coupon applied. I felt like I hacked the system. Their special tasting events are my favorite thing ever. I sign up on Eventbrite the second I get the email (gotta secure that spot!). You get a $5 coupon and you get to wander the store sampling delicious goodies like a VIP foodie. Yes please. I shop here like 4 times a week (don't judge me), and I know most of the crew by now. Everyone is always smiling, chill, and genuinely helpful. Had an issue once with a product--Manager Joseph refunded it without a receipt and didn't grill me about it. Just handled it. Respect. Yes, they have fancy stuff. Yes, you can spend your whole paycheck here if you're feeling bougie. But also? They have budget-friendly gems. Celery here is cheaper than Aldi, Trader Joe's, or Whole Foods--and it's always crunchy and delicious. Same goes for cucumbers, parsley, radishes. Fresh and fabulous. Their seafood specials are fire and I've never been disappointed. Plus, you'll find wild, random, amazing products that no one else carries. It's like a treasure hunt with snacks. So yeah--Central Market is my happy place. Come for the deals, stay for the vibes. See you in the produce aisle?

When it comes to the ambience or the vibe of the store, that will depend on the people there at the time. I noticed that in this store, as well as in the H-E-B store far north, they can both have the same hit or miss vibe. And the vibe is either very very friendly or very, very snobby. I'm not taking away points as this is not the store's fault. That's just the vibe that I get. With that being said, I can always find amazing items at both stores, especially this one. You cannot beat the stellar selection at the store. A couple of the items that I like to come here to get are the plumcots and John Kelly chocolates. Those chocolates are stellar. Of course, I will definitely be back to Central Market but it will never be the number one store for me because of said vibe . I do also want to add to be very careful when you're driving in the parking lot here because the spaces are tight and people drive really chaotic. Overall, I do like the shopping experience, but again it just depends on the day.
