This used to be one of my favorite Starbucks location. However, they moved further down to a new building and Smoothie King opened here. I must say I'm not mad. Of course, it's nice and clean being that it's new and all. I was the only one there, so the service was quick. I was in and out. I had to try the Hydration Watermelon since it's seasonal. This Smoothie King location is relatively new. The spot used to be a Starbucks a couple years ago. I am not sure when it changed. It is convenient to Medical City which is nice, but the parking there is a little bit of a mess. Just a little tight and kind of awkward to get back out on to Forest Lane. As for the smoothie....I am a big fan of Smoothie King in general, but I have been to this locations 2 times and both times the smoothies were more icy and less smooth than Smoothie King is normally. I thought the first time was a fluke but then it happened again a couple weeks later. Not sure if it is their blender or what. The people working there seem nice but they also seemed really busy and a touch overwhelmed the times I was there. Maybe the location in brand new and it is just growing pains. Just literally came here and their employees were so rude and unprofessional. One girl was on her phone texting the whole time and act like I was bothering her when I asked her a question. And the other girl with the glasses was rude. I walked in smiled at her and she looked away, then as I got closer to the counter and spoke and said hi and she acted as if she didn't even want to greet me. Their smoothies are pretty good - I got one and swapped out the protein for vegan one and it was yummy and refreshing on a warm day.

The staff here is amazing. My little brother loved Smoothie King and would walk from my dad's house often as he couldn't drive. He had a brain tumor and couldn't speak easily and I watched them shout greetings like he was Norm walking into Cheers. They laughed with him and remembered his favorite order and even humbly brushed it off with a smile and shrug when I thanked them. One man in particular--maybe the manager?? was always fist bumping him and making him feel so good. It was the most impactful act of kindness. Small but HUGE. From the moment I walked in the workers were super slow and disrespectful with a "what do you want" attitude and said that the drink I asked for didn't exist but it's always been on the menu lol. I'm not a big smoothie guy, but I stopped in here after a haircut next door at Great Clips. they were for people working at the store when I walked in, and no other customers. The woman at the counter help walk me through when I was looking for and I ended up with a spinach pineapple smoothie. Sweet and tasty! As I was waiting on my order several other customers came in. Also a number of snack options that are pretty EDIT: for a $10+ smoothie you just can't have the inconsistency of half filled smoothies that are super watered down. The owner here is very friendly and always know every answer to all my questions. I have tried so many of his suggestions I've lost count. The smoothie is always great. I have tried the wheat grass now that was interesting. The smoothie's are always made a little thick which I prefer because too many locations make them very watery. I know if you don't drink the watery version quickly it just doesn't seem to have a great taste. I know that with a thicker smoothie I don't have to completely stop down everything in my day just to hurry up and drink this before it begins to taste worthless. The store has been remodeled and it is always spotless. The location always has great vitamins and protein powder for sale along with a large variety of bars. I love this location not much more to say then get your head right and get down there you can thank me later! read more

it all starts with smoothie. Elroy and i come back to my house after long walk and were thirsty. He say, "John, we have go too this Smoothie King." I say, "why? I have blender, bannanas, milk (all though may be expired). Then he say, "trust me, John" so i say ok we go here. and from moment walked in, i knew Elroy was good call! So many smoothie! blue berry, mango, banana boat, which make me laugh because its' smoothie not boat :) great ambiance-- not a single light broken! Staff so friendly, you think i was king! Note to management: inform your employees that when the sign says you're open, you're OPEN and to treat your employees who come in as such. My husband went in this evening to get us both smoothies. He has been sick all day and a smoothie was exactly what he needed. But this is a quote of what he texted me while in line "Lady was just not having it, asked me if I was going to be ordering a smoothie as soon as I walked in and I said yes and she rolled her eyes and sighed as she walked over to the blenders and with her back turned says, what do you want. Lol I'm like ok, you are open for 15 more minuets" I know what it's like to be tired and ready to go home after a long day. But this is unacceptable. To be treated with such disrespect. Then I called management and the manager said that they were busy and he was the only one working the register and that he would call me back. I understood and waited for the promised call. When I called back he said that he told me he would call after 3 (which was not stated in the previous call) and immediately started to accuse my husband of being a terrible guest. He accused him of being on his phone and "walking out of the store" when the associates were trying to take his order. He never gave me a chance to explain my side of the story and defended the woman who was rude to him. I challenge him to look at the security footage to see who's story is actually true. Very disappointed today to find out this particular location will no longer work with my dietary restrictions according to their management; they are unable to substitute more than one item for free. I could understand if I was trying to just make my own smoothie; but I don't feel that I should be penalized for a medically restricted diet. I travel back and forth between Texas Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Georgia and South Carolina and I've never had a Smoothie King deny or be resistant to accommodating me. I did not care for the lady's disposition as well. I call in an order because I'm short on time but she treated me like I've never been to a Smoothie King before, informing me that they did not have spinach or other items. She asked what I wanted and I was grateful for that. However she was not solution-focused in helping me come up with something that would fit my dietary restrictions that wouldn't overcharged me. Smoothie king is a life saver when you are on the go. If I run errands and want to stay healthy I always come here because their smoothies can easily be a meal replacement. All of the employees are very helpful with making suggestions. My favorite has to be the gladiator smoothie and I get it with chocolate protein, peanut butter and banana which usually comes out to over 40 grams of protein. read more

Let me preface by saying that I usually go to the smoothie king on Lower Greenville and get my fix but was in North Dallas and popped in to get a smoothie. Not sure what was up with the owner but he was more interested in telling some poor guy off who parked in the wrong spot then helping me with my smoothie. I was in the mood for something different and inquired about the Fit n' crunchy bowls when this guy was like, " Can you just order something already." I was like, " Dude relax" I wanted to try something new, how criminal is that. After a few more words I was done. He actually told me to "Eff" myself. I thought the customer was important in business, guess not at this location. Life is too short to have to put up with rude/mean people. I guess I need to stick with the Greenville location for "Usually" delicious smoothie. Very disappointed in this location. I go 2-3 times a week and do curbside pickup, but this time I was forced to go in because the worker was on her cellphone NOT answering for curbside pickups, mind you I was the only person there! When I finally jumped out my car to go in she yelled at me about a mask! I'm like this is WHY I did curbside, but you are too busy on your cellphone to notice I would not have had to get out of my car if you would have been doing your job! Because he had consumed very little over the past few days, I thought a smoothie would provide some nutrients he was missing. The employees at this location were super friendly and one was very knowledgeable. I think the other guy, while jovial, had not been working here very long as her referred all of my questions to the other employee. Anyway, they recommended a smoothie for my husband and he drank the whole thing and was very satisfied. I, too, left with smoothie in hand and was very pleased. This location does need a little sprucing up...the menu looks like it is from 1985 and the setup is pretty uninviting with temporary shelving and products scattered about. I'm a fan of Smoothie King! When my office was in Oak Lawn I could walk to that location. Now I'm in Oak Cliff :( so I never see one around. So Saturday after a long day in the park with the kid, he says "Dad I want a smoothie!" So I popped on Yelp for a Jamba Juice, but couldn't find it even with Google Maps. That's when Smoothie King came back to me. Found this place . . . good location. Young kid behind the counter very helpful as I try to keep my kid's calories in check. He had a banana something and I had the cranberry supreme (Yummy!). Plus when you check in on your App you can have a free enhancer. I placed an online order and was sent to a different smoothie king by accident I called like 5 seconds later and they said they had already finished my order I just wanted to cancel it because I was at the midway location the manager David on forest said get it or not they couldn't cancel it so if I wanted my smoothies I needed to go to the forest location if not they would throw it away either way it was already paid for.
