Southern charm, incredible lunch, legendary desserts, and truly wonderful service…read more Boll Weevil is one of those places that feels like you stumbled into something special. From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

Pros: Nice waiter…read more Quick service Inexpensive Right next to the Riverwalk. Cons: A/C set very low, we were freezing Spinach dip was okay but salty and had a vinegary taste. Turkey and rice soup was very salty, not warm enough. The bread on our sandwiches were not a good quality... and not fresh Sides with sandwiches were subpar.... Regular chips on one and tasteless pasta salad on the other.

We were put onto this place through a couple friends and we haven't stopped talking about it since…read more Natta and Angie were so incredibly welcoming and sweet. If you've never been there, they will start you out with samples of all of their lemonade (which all of them are incredibly flavorful) and you'll inevitably get one because it's THAT good. The staff comes with recommendations to help you navigate the menu and they are so attentive and helpful. I'd go as far to say that they had some of the best service in Augusta. Now to the food, 10/10 I could not recommend them enough. I've had the honey lemon pepper wings and the loyalty platter. And it was so good. The honey lemon pepper wings were full of deep flavor and they give you at-least 10 wings with the plate. The steak and shrimp are the best seasoned meats I've ever had at a restaurant. I've also had a few nibbles of their seafood and ‍. Then when you're ready for dessert, don't worry you get samples too. The blue velvet is my favorite but all of them are award winning so you can't go wrong when it comes to Nattas sweet treats. Over all, great experience, great people, and great place. Get out and support local, it'll never disappoint. P.S. if you think it's pricey, you're wrong. You get what you pay for here. You get no less than two meals out of one plate.

Every Queen needs a King and you can seduce your palete at Kitchen Kings x Natta's Sweet Bakery…read more After hearing amazing things about Kitchen Kings food and their favorable turn out at the Foodie Event, I stopped in and had a Surf N Turf Platter - Honors Platter with perfectly seasoned grilled Salmon & Shrimp over Dirty Rice with Mac N Cheese & Green Beans. The portion sizes are generous and very tasty. I made a Southern Palmer with their Peach Tea and Unsweetened Ice Tea 1/2 & 1/2 of both mixed together, was the perfect beverage to pair with the Honor Platter. I finished the honorable meal with The Strawberry Velvet Cake Brownie & Red Velvet Brownie dessert pairing. The service from when I stepped in, while eating and leaving was exceptional, inviting and very pleasant. Shurell was fabulous, vibrant and a fresh of breath air. I highly recommend Kitchen Kings x Natta's Sweet Bakery to discover Augusta's Hidden Gem off Gordon Hwy. The Ambiance was the perfect R&B Vibe for a casual, sexy Saturday. The music Playlist was the perfect R&B garnish to the entire dining experience. I will be back for their Low Country Boil & the wonderful Strawberry Velvet Cake. Kings Kitchen x Natta's Sweet Bakery will not disappoint you. In fact, it will make ypur day better. Please honor my review and take a taste for yourself today and dine like a King or Queen mixed with sweetness from the Bakery.

Well yummy! Driving to a friends wedding in GA, we stopped by this Augusta Smallcakes. It's right…read morenext door to the Jersey Mike's we ordered our food from. So I said why not also get cupcakes! The funny thing is there's a few Smallcakes in Charlotte and I just haven't been to one yet lol. So I'm super glad I got to finally check them out even if it's in a different state. The lady working was very sweet and I was really pleasantly surprised at the smell when I walked in. It smells like a sweet bakery heaven lol. I could not work there and smell that beautiful aroma all day. Their cupcakes were so beautifully decorated too. I just really wasn't expecting that at all. It was hard to pick just 2 cupcakes, but after a few minutes I was able to decide on a few good options: - Cookies and cream - Reese's peanut butter - Vanilla with sprinkles and my gals from Hocus Pocus - Biscoff So, this is defense love at first bite! These cupcakes are delicious, moist and almost too pretty to eat!!! I'm really happy I stopped in to finally try them out.

They had a nice range of different flavors and it was kinda hard to decide which ones we wanted. We end up getting 4: Lemon Strawberry Chocolate chip red velvet Cream cheese frosting vanilla We all end up trying tying each flavor, My favorite was the Lemon and red velvet, the flavors were perfect. Not too sweet or too lemony. Strawberry had an artificial flavor to me so I wasn't a fan of it. The vanilla was just okay. However all the cupcakes were moist and had the perfect amount of frosting. They are priced at $4 a cupcake you can get 4 for $17 Giving the sizes I don't think it's badly priced at all. It's definitely worth it. I would go back and try some of the other flavors of cupcakes and possibly their others desserts I was just not a fan of the cream cheese frosting and the artificial flavor of the strawberry cupcake. Side Note: They have dog treats

Lunch in downtown Augusta can go in a lot of directions, but today we wanted something inexpensive,…read morelocal in spirit, and fresh enough to feel like a small reset in the middle of the day. Yelp nudged us toward New Moon Cafe, and while the signage from the street is minimal enough that we almost walked past it, we eventually found our way inside and were glad we did. At 12:30 on a Saturday the timing worked in our favor. We stepped right up to the counter with no queue at all, placed our order, and settled in. By the time our food arrived about fifteen minutes later, the line had grown to the point where people were waiting nearly that long just to order, which gave the whole place that lively, slightly chaotic weekend energy without ever feeling rushed. Mrs. K chose the smoked salmon bagel, which came out panini pressed, a small twist on a classic that she enjoyed. I am still keeping things keto, so the chef's salad with blue cheese was exactly what I needed, a generous portion that felt balanced and satisfying without pushing me off track. They offer plenty of coffee drinks and smoothie combinations, but we kept things simple and were perfectly happy with our choices. There is outdoor seating if that is your preference, and the whole experience had that relaxed, local charm that makes Augusta lunches feel unhurried even when the dining room is filling up around you.
