Grateful for vegan options on the Island! My family met at Giuliana's after a funeral with a very limited menu for my dietary needs. Fortunately for me, Nature's Grill Cafe was right next door! I ordered the Hangover (apple, lemon, carrot, beet, and ginger) and the Beyond Bella Burger, beyond meat patty, vegan cheese, Pico de gallo, avocado, and hot sauce. The hot sauce was HOT, so I would recommend maybe getting it on the side if you are sensitive to spicy like me. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the Pico de gallo was probably thee best I've ever had. This is a huge place with huge menu offering lots of tasty options. I was super hungry when I came here so I went with something familiar. The cheeseburger and sweet potato fries with a smoothie. The juice smoothie was nice and flavorful. You really can't mess this up. As far as the cheeseburger... well, I felt like it was constructed badly. It's supposed to be grass fed beef, which is a healthy option to go along with the feel of this cafe. BUT, it's all about the little details... the tomato was a thick cut not ripped tomato. They put onions in there, but it was a WHOLE slice of onion which overpowered the burger. You can't throw an entire slice of onion on a burger. You're supposed to take a couple of rings and slip them in the bun. Not sure where they got the idea to do that. After this experience I realized this place is just a grill/cafe with some okay menu. Got there at 11:25 and the order was not ready, ok no biggie it takes time to get into a groove when you first open. They had the order ready to go by 11:35. I took the food home and was shocked to find out that my nature bowl which is basically all veggies and tofu, had absolutely no dressing on it and no dressing was provided on the side. What am I supposed to do with this bowl of flavorless veggies? I'm not going to drive 20 minutes back there just to get the dressing. My other order was quesadilla with sweet potato fries, the quesadilla was dry and meh but the sweet potato fries were BURNT. See the pic for yourself, some were mushy and some were burnt black. Celebrating this as my 100th YELP review!!! I live in Brooklyn and go to the Bay Ridge location regularly. I just happened to be out in Staten Island and decided to stop by. The menu is the same as the Bay Ridge location. The difference is the size of the location and number of staff. The Staten Island location is HUGE compared to Bay Ridge. There is tons of outdoor seating and it is done very nicely. I happened to come on a night that was warm and you can sit outside. There is lot's of space inside as well. The food is on par with Bay Ridge, there is a parking lot which is a GREAT so you don't have to drive around for a half hour to find parking. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. The quality of the food is good and what is nice is the consistency of delivering a meal that tastes equally as good every time. I would recommend them for casual informal dining, good quality and good service. Probably one of the better places to have an informal meal at on Staten Island. read more

Healthy food, friendly staff, a clean and comfortable restaurant, what more can I ask? My third time at Nature's Grill but first time visiting their Staten Island Location. Nevertheless, the venue sure knows how to maintain consistency with their food, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and their swift service. Their Staten Island venue seems to be their largest location with both indoor and outdoor dining, as well as an expansive parking lot for patrons convenience. The restaurant has taken to COVID-19 precautions by adding hand sanitizing stations near the entrance, as well as on the counter where one would place their orders. Temperature scanners are also available, though not enforced when I went there. Unfortunately however, because the South Shore of Staten Island has entered the orange zone, indoor dining has been temporarily suspended. Outdoor dining seems to still be available though I noticed most customers tend to take their orders to-go. I ordered a spinach roll wrap and decided to be adventurous by adding roasted peppers inside (highly recommend). The peppers really brought out the taste of the sautéed spinach and went well with the mutz! The sandwiches are large, filling and delicious. Presentation is always good and food always stays warm enough that the cheese remains all melts and stretchy! Also ordered a small side of their house made hot sauce for added spice. Sauce containers are generously filled and wrapped with plastic to prevent them from spilling during travel. I had this peanut butter shake that made my body feel all sorts of ecstasy ...lol ..... My entree was huge and was enough for two meals especially since I ordered a baked sweet potato . As a 10 year vegetarian I'm very disappointed that they only have 3 meatless items on the menu. I got the veggie pita. Here's my thoughts on it: The avocado is cut fresh to order, the cucumbers are sliced way too thick, they don't give you enough tomatoes and they tasted old, their home made hummus is EXCELLENT.
