This place seems pretty darn consistent and I've yet to have anything that wasn't fresh! I do think it's funny when people complain that they went in the afternoon and selection was limited. Do you even know how donut shops work to get all of those sweet treats made? It's overnight "baking" and lots of different things go into getting them filled or iced.
