Total Bill: I'd rather throw my money away then waste any more time
One word to describe my experience: Disappointing
I normally don't review places I buy living social or groupon deals from because sometimes you don't get the full perspective or value of a service or meal by doing so.
So just off record, I bought the living social deal for this place. I forget how much it was exactly, but it was a pretty good deal for artgenic nails!
Anyway...
I'm a full time student and full time worker and can pretty much squeeze in one appointment a week.
I called about three months before my living social deal expired, and nobody answered the phone the two times I called during the day. No biggie. I've got three months.
Next month, I call again, no answer. Still no biggie, I like to think I'm usually a very patient person.
One month before it expires, I call again, no answer. I leave a message with my name and number asking for a call back to book an appointment.
One week later (3 weeks till expiration...getting a bit annoyed at this point) I call and leave another message, reminding them I called last week and left a previous message.
Day before my living social deal expires, I drive all the way from Kaneohe to town to walk in there face to face with someone who can respond to me. Can't ignore me now, can you?!
I explain the whole situation to the lady working there (it is just her and another man who run it) and the lady tells me I had more than three months to redeem the living social voucher and they won't honor it since they're booked for the entire week. UMMM WERE YOU NOT LISTENING TO MY ENTIRE EXPLANATION? I repeat to her that I tried several times and left two messages and nobody got back to me. The lady isn't very nice at first either, very defensive and I was being totally nice because being mean doesn't get you anywhere! She told me there's nothing she can do, and that they were on a business trip a few weeks ago so there was nobody to answer the phone. Talk about unprofessional and not being accountable for any of your business!!! Whether or not you can get credit for this living social deal, YOUR BUSINESS failed to even respond to a potential client.
Yuki, the man I think does most of the nails eventually tells me he can "try" to honor it and to just book an appointment at the earliest date.
I truly appreciate his efforts, and while I did book an appointment, I didn't show up to it. I left with such a poor impression of Naturally Hands and Spa, that I couldn't bring myself to waste any more time on them.
I don't have the time or energy to be chasing down vendors who can't professionally communicate with their clients, or be accountable for their lack of organization and follow up. I'd rather toss my money out a window then go through all that hassle again.
I think this is my first one star review. I feel bad...but then again... *shrug* actually not really. read more
