They came to our house twice and did an…read moreok job cleaning, nothing particularly good or bad compared to other cleaning services we've used. My fiance and I are on the "goth" side and very nerdy and decorate our house with lots of little rocks and things we buy at oddity expos and books and decorations from all different religions and mythologies. We're not religious ourselves, but we have a sort of witchy "every day is Halloween" aesthetic. The first time they came out they dropped and broke a geode slice that was on a shelf. We didn't find out until later when we got a text from the office manager about it. It would have been nice if they had let us know while they were here. We had told them up front to not bother with dusting all of the little trinkets and items we have on shelves because there's a lot and some of them are fragile. They offered to discount our bill the amount the geode cost, but then they apparently forgot and didn't do that. The second time they sent out a completely different cleaning crew so we had to show them around the house all over again and explain where everything was. They cleaned and left, again did an ok job, nothing particularly good or bad. Then we got an email saying that they wouldn't be back to clean for us. The reason they gave was that their cleaners are all Catholic or Christian and felt uncomfortable in our home. I wish their website said up front that they discriminate and we would have chosen a different business in the first place.

I now live alone and because of a car wreck many years ago am not mobile enough to do a thorough cleaning job at home anymore. Green Alternative has been my saving grace. On the day of the appointment, I repeatedly texted the company asking when the team would arrive and clearly explained multiple times that I had to leave by 3 PM. I waited from 9 AM until 2:40 PM, giving them far more time than the agreed 9 AM-1 PM window. Despite all of this communication, the team did not arrive within the appointment window. When they finally said the team was on the way, I told them that I could no longer wait because I had to leave. I even offered that they could come after 3:30 PM or reschedule for another day. Instead of acknowledging that they had missed the agreed appointment window, they told me that even if they were unable to service my home when they arrive, they would still redeem my Groupon voucher. This is completely unacceptable. I paid for a service that was not provided. I communicated clearly, repeatedly, and in advance about my availability, and I waited nearly two hours beyond the promised arrival window. The company should not be able to keep a customer's voucher when the service was never performed. I have screenshots of the entire text conversation documenting the appointment window, my repeated attempts to contact them, and my notice that I had to leave at 3 PM. Very poor customer service and a very unfair way of treating a customer. I would not recommend this company.

We hired her to help with our AirBnB turn over: we needed someone to clean the house, wash the sheets and towels, get the rooms ready for guests, and generally make the house shine. We tried other cleaning services, but they would leave things undone. Joselyn not only keeps every surface dusted and shiny, but she sets out flowers fresh from the garden on the coffee table! When she cleans the house for us personally, and not for guests, she puts out our own towels and makes sure that our personal effects are in order. (Once, she stayed all day to make sure all the laundry was finished.) Not only that, but she is super prompt and very responsive. I can text her at any moment. She even wished me a happy Mother's Day this year, with a sweet little e-card. It's not very often that you find an organized, responsive, thorough, friendly, and generous with her time and energy. I couldn't ask for better help. I hope Joselyn continues to build her thriving FRC cleaning service in Raleigh, helping many other AirBnB hosts with their house cleaning. She deserves all the success in the world!
