TLDR: I'm from Austin and for the same price of a luxury pedicure I get at least some level of care and 70-80 minutes over 50 (with the French I may add). I'm visiting family and it worked out I need a pedicure and they were open. Granted. There are THREE other nail salons all within a single block. Should have been my first sign. I called to verify an appointment and I asked for a mani and pedi around 2 or 2:30 and they said 3 - cool. Good sign they're busy right? I Showed up at 2:50 and one single employee is there, that's it, and by the way doesn't understand the words manicure or pedicure. Ends up taking their phone out to call someone to translate who not sure if it was them who magically showed right up? What a rush, the salt scrub was fast, the hot stones were..... pretty much nonexistent, they put my feet in the paraffin just to take them right out. I added on the French polish and the total amount of time was 50 minutes. Since normally a salon would do nail clean up during the pedi I had to tell her I can't stay even longer to do the mani and she scoffed and just said pay $65 later to him (pointed) and rushed out. Mind you, during the pedi another had walked in and she denied them and also took an incoming call annnnnnnd would you believe only told them availability at 3 pm the next day So then she rushed out of the shop and I don't see a dryer light in sight to sit a few minutes and dry. I'm waving my toes like a psycho lol and finally the gentleman just waves me over to what looked like a regular cocktail table with crap piled on it which was their nail drying station..... you would think the tech would have done that. Went to get my acrylics removed and was immediately met with such kindness. During the nail removal process, Amy took such gentle care of my nails. I tried but could not get my nails done here. There was one employee and no customers in the place when I went in and asked for a simple polish with some basic design through the nails. The person told me she could not do that. I said I would be fine with stickers then. She said there were none. I'm not somebody who needs a lot of design in the nail. The first time I went Mary did my nails & I asked for no cuticle cutting. She still cut my cuticles. My thumb chipped within 2 days. (Dark polish) The second time I did not resist the cuticle cutting. My left thumb was bleeding after the cuticle cutting, it hurts still. My left middle finger was also. I think they were trying to cut the price a little but Mary argued with them & said no way. I do not need to take my family or friends here. I popped in for a regular manicure after an appointment I had in the area. I was the only customer in the place and there were about four employees sitting around. They got me in right away. I don't even think they said hello to me. They went out of their way to talk to each other and not give me eye contact throughout the entire manicure process. Granted, I went in to get my nails done and not to make new friends, but I found it interesting and a bit humorous at how much effort they went though to ignore me. I did the luxury pedicure today and it is hands down the best pedicure I have ever had. They took their time with the whole process and my feet have never looked better. This is the ONLY nail salon I will EVER go to. I've only had two pedicures in my life...both here. I have extremely ticklish feet and never thought I'd be able to enjoy the luxury of a pedi until one day my daughter suggested I just try it... I'm not sure of the gentleman's name but he was more mature in age, and so very kind and understanding ... we both got the deluxe pedicure which included a sugar scrub up the entire calf, oil massage, paraffin wax treatment with hot moist towels wrapped up the calf after a gentle massage ...I've never been more relaxed...it was simply amazing!! Always made to feel welcome and no frumpy face when you show up with "winter feet" that haven't seen the light of day since October lol... seriously.... you've got to try this one!! I like going here, besides that its within walking distance to my house :) Open on Sundays 11 - 6, which is new. They take walkins but you should call ahead just in case. They have competitive prices and a frequent buyer card. They also have heat color changing shellac polish, which is awesome. It's small though, 4 nail stations and 4 pedi stations. They also only have the Gelish brand of shellac, so if you want something different this isn't your place. Friendly staff too. read more

Nail tech barely exfoliated my feet at all. Trimmed nails w clippers and didn't file them. He was about to paint them when I noticed one was cut jagged, and had to ask that he fix it. Polish application was goopy and sloppy. Waited 20 min and it still wasn't dry bc of how thick it was applied. Ended up having to leave and of course they smudged bc it would've taken at least an hour to let it cure properly. Overall, poor quality and attention to detail. Avoid. read more

I used to love this place. I went a lot. I stopped over a year ago when the person used a battery operated thing on my big toe cuticles, instead of taking the time to do it correctly. She damaged my nail bed, and ever since I have a very injured nail. Now some of the nail has fallen off and I am left with a bare spot that is extremely tender. I will never go back. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I originally had Mary and she was super sweet and listened to what I wanted. However, then the tech switched to Henry who didn't know what he was doing and could not understand what wanted. Language barriers happen, and I wasn't upset at that. I got upset when the manager (I think?) kept coming over to translate for him, could tell I was getting frustrated at the back and forth of it all, but didn't step in to take over. The acrylic was not fully attached to my nail, it was piled on so my nails are about a half a centimeter thicker than they should with normal acrylic, and one nail is a COMPLETELY different shape and length. This women is SO ROOD!! My friend and I walk in, she didn't even acknowledge us. She was busy on her phone with her back towards us. When she finally turned around she said "WHAT DO YOU WANT"! I said this is a mail place, right?! She was MAD the entire time. Then a man did my Pedi, and this rood B*tch did my friends. This women started talking her rood talk and laughing with the man. The man was very professional. VERY great! He didn't know English, but that wasn't important. That women is the owner of this place, she literally got done with a $70 pedicure in 15 min! Not much positive to say, other than that I got a warm greeting from Mary when I walked in and it's a small cozy little place. I chose gel polish but then changed my mind, asking if they had the same color in regular polish. She said yes but then didn't seem to actually understand me. Oh well. The curing light was faulty; it turned on and off about 50 times during my mani. I had to keep wiggling my fingers and did end up messing up one of my nails. The polish was almost gone and seemed old; after 2 coats it was super uneven, so she did 3 and it's still not perfect. After she was done she went to put oil on my cuticles but used polish instead- oops. The worst part, though, was the paraffin dip. My tech told me to dip both hands in, then the owner came over and took my wrist in her hand, saying, "No, just one! Test first!" I love heat but it was way too hot. I asked how long it would take to cool down and she said she didn't know, but I should just do it again but faster. Then another tech came over and rubbed lotion all over one of my hands, which flung bits of wax all over the floor and my clothes. Then they said to just keep putting my hand in differently- in faster, out slow, but no not like that. I've had a paraffin dip before, it should not be that difficult. They were concerned and apologetic about having almost burned me after the fact. I assured them I was fine but it was way too hot, period, and left really stressed out from having the three of them all around me arguing. read more

This used to be my go to place for mani-pedis. The owner is always cheerful and welcoming and I was always pleased with the job they did (especially since prices are reasonable). However, the last 2-3 times I've been there I've been very disappointed. There seems to have been lots of staff changes and they just don't take the same care they used to. Also, the selection and quality of polish isn't good (they never have updated colors) and the staff just isn't as friendly as they used to be. I splurge a few times a year on a manicure and pedicure but today's was about the same quality I could have given myself--combined with grumpy nail technicians. I have been coming to this nail salon for nearly two years. I will never go anywhere else. Mary is the salon manager and the way she does the acrylic nails is so perfect that I very rarely lose a nail within the 2-3 weeks I go between fills. On the rare occasion that a nail does come off, Mary replaces it for free if it was only in place for a few days. There is always a convenient time to get in. She even works on Sundays and Holidays. There are a few men who work here as well, Tony does my pedicures and again, I have never had someone do such a great job. My feet are always super soft, the leg massage is amazing and he paints my toenails whatever color I want. These people are all from Vietnam and are some of the kindest, most caring individuals that I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with. They offer full body waxing, nails, manicures, pedicures, eyebrow plucking, eyelash extensions, massages and facials. The prices are more than reasonable. read more
