This was what I got. My finger is bleeding and she charged me for ombré. I didn't get ombré.

I asked for these nails and got the others and she still charged me for ombré. She also ripped my acrylics that I had on off. My fingernail is bleeding. She took my nails off and charged me for having her take them off when I just wanted her to paint over them. She then asked if I wanted ombré and I said yes and proceeded not to give me ombré but charged me for it anyway. I will not be coming back. She proceeded to say that I got ombré when I didn't. Very unhappy.

I like this place. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done. $25 for a spa pedicure.. Relaxing, with orange scrub exfoliation and hot towel & hot stone message included.. Come here for a shellac (gel) manicure for $25 special. (See pic) I'm from nyc/nj and this is the best one I have ever got!! Can't beat it. Place needs a clean up and some update but overall good experience. Excellent customer service, will go back -- it's a good deal!

No look at these are not oval shaped.

I need to wait to make a real Love you. Pretty good other than the fact that lady was using the drill and burned my finger as it was sore because I bite the skin around my fingers when I'm nervous. I pulled my hand back and said "ouch" and she started laughing. I don't know if that was because she was embarrassed or because she thought it was funny but that whole situation was not good at all. This is/was my favorite and the one place I went to get my acrylics done. But now I'm not so sure. There is a place pretty close by that is called 4K nails and my friends go there now because they had the same experience at this shop. They said that 4K is a little bit more expensive but said that it is worth the time and money. They do a great job on full set acrylic's and fill in's for acrylics. Also the fact that their color selection is way bigger than a plus nails. They said that the colors come out looking beautiful and their nails come out always look good and not lumpy or weird. I don't know what to do at this point because this is the only place I went to, to get my acrylics done. I I trusted them with my nails and they came out looking ok, But my experience wasn't so great. I gave this place a 2 star review because of the experience I had not because of how great the nails looked. If I could give them a rating on how well the nails looked then I would say about a 4 or a 4.1. But the lady was sort of rude because I asked for oval shaped and I've gotten those done before. She then told me that the look I wanted was a coffin shape but it definitely wasn't. I will attach a picture of what I got before and what I got this time. She also charge me $31 because she couldn't understand what I wanted. I shouldn't be charged extra for that. She added $3 on to the original price. She said that the shape I wanted wasn't oval but it definitely was just look at the picture of me at prom. Those are oval shaped. I got them done by the guy last time and I really loved him. The lady I did not cut my cuticles and did not push them back at all she just started to go right in with the acrylics. I was definitely disappointed that I was not given a massage with lotion like I did last time. It looked so great last time I had a great experience so I gave them a five star before on their website (which is on Facebook by the way). But now I'm getting them filled somewhere else because I did not have a good experience.

My gel manicure from Moni. Only $28!

EXCELLENT, After a…read more2 month search, I have found my new nail shop throughout the endurance of my stay here in Madison. From the initial phone call to make my appointment, Kat, the owner, was welcoming and warming. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted immediately and placed in the chair, and Amanda performed the best pedicure I have received since arriving in this state. Thank you Jesus! Kat even went above and beyond to refill a toe that had been accidentally shattered and needed repair. I am so appreciative of the services performed and all the welcoming I received. This place is definitely a gem in the Roux, and not to be overlooked...great job ladies, and thank you so much for taking pride in great customer service.

There was also a private room for lashes and waxing, and two bathrooms. Kat (the owner), along with her staff, were extremely accommodating. She let us set up a small table with treats and goodies, and also offered beverages (wines and water) during their services. I don't get my nails done too often, but this stood out to me. A set of set of sealed and sterile tools were pulled out and used each time. From what I recall, most technicians place their tools in bin or glass with water, and do a quick rinse or microwave before using them. The tools here definitely seem more reassuring! And seems more efficient. Kat was also very knowledgeable and openly shared info when asked. Overall, we had a great time here! The only reason I subtracted a star was because my classic mani/pedi is already chipping and it's only been a couple days! This was probably my fault for not choosing shellac or dip--but I'm definitely going back for a French Ombré!

Not only does it "mark your appearance" but ummm ..from beginner's courses like itsy bitsy spider to the YouTube phenom who can do the Superman dance with his fingers...if ya know ya knooow!!! Anyways, after the relationship, getting manicures and later pedicures periodically was a practice I decided to keep up. However, for the most part, the experience has been the equivalent of getting preened by a parrot. The tech would routinely go too deep with the pusher and the scissor work always left the skin feeling raw around the nail. The experience usually ended with me rushing to the nearest CVS/Walgreens etc to get some peroxide in fear of infection and another salon name crossed off the list. Eventually I just said F it.. clipping em myself was good enough. Then in Madison WI of all places, I happened upon this little inconspicuous spot which restored all faith that a straight guy can walk into a nail salon and get the same level of care attention and detail females get. The ladies at Rose's Nails are by far the best manicurist and pedicurist I have ever ever come across. The cutilcle work was pain free and precise. The sugar scrub massages were very relaxing. The coat technique gave my nails a healthy shine versus looking girly polished. Wish I had found them when I first arrived but I'm just thankful to have in my last couple weeks in Madison. Last 2 weekends ='d 2 visits which ='d 2 heavenly experiences prior to my return to NJ.

Let me tell you about my wild adventure at this so-called "bougie" salon. Buckle up; it's quite a…read moreride! So, I had a 3:00 p.m. appointment on June 20th. First, they asked for my credit card info just to have on file. Not sure if they do that to everyone or if I looked extra suspicious, but who feels comfortable with their card details floating around some random salon? Not me. Anyway, I arrived, and they shoved a notepad in my face, making me read and sign a waiver at lightning speed. A waiver for a salon visit? This place was already giving me "sign away your firstborn" vibes. The kicker? If I sued them over COVID-19, I'd have to cover their legal fees too! Just a heads-up: read before you sign anything here. Despite their "Bougie" facade, there was nothing upscale about this joint. The dress code, at least for my tech, was highly questionable. She wore a dirty old bra with a worn-out tank top and shorts so short they constantly migrated to her crotch. I asked for a "professional" tech and was assured mine was top-notch. Professional? Not in this universe. When we got down to business, I asked for almond-shaped nails, but we settled on round since my nails were too short. The polish removal process was a marathon--30 minutes!--and then she started trimming my nails without looking, slicing into the skin beneath them. Ouch! I yanked my hand back, not keen on sacrificing my fingers today. She just stared blankly at me. Fabulous. Filing my nails was like watching a toddler color outside the lines. Then, she dropped the bomb: two of my nails would be square-shaped. Excuse me? I said no, but she insisted. So, I borrowed the nail file and demonstrated that round nails were indeed possible. Without a word, she walked off to another tech and complained. Cue the drama! The "master nail tech" stormed over, shouting, "Hey, hey, hey!" (That's not my name, by the way). She launched into a tirade about how clients don't file their own nails. Felt like I was back in kindergarten getting scolded by the teacher. Finally, I asked her to trim my cuticles. Instead of using a softener or water, she just yanked at them dry. It was like watching someone prune a cactus with their bare hands. I asked if they ever used a softener, and she bluntly replied, "No." Charming. As I complimented her nail art (because why not try to be nice?), my manicure wrapped up, and I was left alone waiting for my pedicure. That's when the salon manager approached me and said my nail tech didn't feel comfortable continuing and that I needed to leave. Shocked but not one to make a scene, I prepared to pay for my crappy manicure. As I took out my credit card, the salon owner suddenly got hostile and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. WHAT?! I was just trying to pay! She stormed outside, so I followed, phone in hand, ready to record. They charged me $4 extra for the nail polish remover, likely because I was a "special" white Ukrainian with a heavy accent. As the owner ranted about a "language barrier," I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity. Outside, as I recorded on my phone, the owner bizarrely wanted me to take some other client's used water bottle and claimed I had a language barrier. Lady, I understood everything perfectly: you overcharged me, refused me service, and acted like I was the problem. Newsflash: it's you and your "bougie" salon with anger issues. By the way, it turns out I'm not the only one who's had a run-in with this place. According to Google reviews, being booted out seems to be their favorite sport, right up there with charging extra and providing subpar services. So, to anyone considering a visit to this "Bougie" salon, beware! You might find yourself signing away your legal rights, dealing with a tech in a dirty old bra, and being yelled at by someone who thinks "Hey, hey, hey" is your name. And if you're really lucky, you might even get kicked out and overcharged, just like me. Cheers to finding a new salon where the only surprises are the ones you actually want.
