THEY COULD HAVE HAD A REPEAT CUSTOMER IF THE OWNER WASN'T A COMPLETE B!
This woman Misa in all the other reviews was not only nasty to all of her employees/colleagues, but she was nasty and argumentative with me. My friend and I had just left another nail salon due to the terrible ventilation with nail fumes. This place was much better smelling, so I said "mani/pedi" and my friend asked how much a pedicure was. The guy just ran to the back and Misa sat there with her customer not responding. So we looked thru the colors, compared bright colors, discussed them, laughed about odd colors, etc. I say this to illustrate that we were up front for a while. Finally we are just standing there waiting for any direction. The guy finally says: "Oh, sit here." Then I ask again, "How much is a pedicure?" Misa yells out: "They start at $25."
My friend and I sit down and the water is perfectly warm. I repeat: "Mani/pedi." The guy just drops this blue thing in the water that he says is just for color. It almost immediately starts stinging my foot as I have a couple bad scratches on the top from shoes. I tell them and the guy offers to change the water. I say I'll deal with it, but 2 minutes later it's just getting worse so I ask him to please change the water. Misa starts piping in about how they can't do a pedicure if the water is too hot because I have issues on my feet. I'm telling her it isn't the water, it's the blue thing, and that my feet aren't going to hurt anyone (come on). Once this is all done, my friend and I continue to sit for THIRTY MINUTES before anyone comes over to us. Nobody told us we'd have a 30 minute wait. My nail guy asks me which service I want and I tell him I don't know what services he has. The original guy then hands us menus, and Misa starts telling me the reason we didn't get the menus is because of all the water changing the guy had to do for me. WHAT?? Not only did she try to turn things around by saying I couldn't handle water temperature, but I now get blamed for their poor customer service?? I tell her that is incorrect and remind her that we were waiting out front for 10 minutes and have been sitting here a long time with zero communication. She huffs and rolls her eyes at me and starts talking in her language to her colleagues/employees. Nice!
I almost got up and left, but we were just about to get started. Frankly, Misa's 'tude was so horrendous that I almost couldn't bear paying her. The nails were done okay. The nail polish on my fingers was literally bubbling off and peeling by the second day. This has a lot to do with 3 coats of color. That's too much, but whatever. Oh, and they all seemed shocked that I wanted a manicure too despite me telling them twice, and they had me stay in the pedicure chair reaching over so she could get both hands. They had plenty of open desks...
Overall, we sat there for over 2 hours, got scolded and talked down to, got to watch Misa talk down to the other employees, and my nails only lasted a day. My toes are doing better, but they are crooked. I'm guessing my toes are crooked though! Horrendous!! read more
