a bag of organic lemon grass

I've been in Natural Grocers before and came in this one because it was across the street from my eye Dr. I was looking for a few specialty items, I thought they may have. Let me start by saying I am not their target customer. I'm not sure who is but, they have several things that are useful that you don't see elsewhere these days A lot of all organic stuff including grains and flours that would make it easy if you bake with these things. Most of the other inventory seems very high priced. They have a huge section of homeopathic drops, ointments, tinctures, vitamins. nutritional supplements etc. I have often wondered if the folks that use all this and pay these very high prices are any healthier? Guess it couldn't hurt and more power to them. I grabbed a few things and was gone but...if you are inclined to increase your awareness of a healthier lifestyle, Natural Grocers may be the place you want to... Go!

Great place to "add to" your grocery shopping, but for me it cannot be a one stop shop.

The best natural grocery and excellent prices. Only downside is that it is too far from where I live.

Amazing hummus and so much more! First off let me just inform that this isn't an actual store. It is…read morea vendor at both Fairview Farmers Shop and Richardson Farmers Market. I normally get their sesame crisp because its so good! This time I tried out their hummus and picked a spicy one. Pomegranate walnut hummus has a mild flavor and is made with pomegranate, pepper, walnut and etc. This hummus goes well with sea salt pita chips or any other pita chips. The hummus is very flavorful and each ingredient has it's own role. The pomegranate adds the sweetness and calms the spiciness. The walnuts well they add the nutty flavor but all together it's really good. The owners actually make everything at home and they are all delicious. The sesame crisps looks hard and thick but it's not. It's an airy dessert and the sesame flavor is very vibrant. I bought a small container of hummus for $5 and 5 crisps for $5. They also sell pita chips which was the first thing I bought from this vendor. Their pita chips are excellent and pairs well with the hummus. You can buy hummus and pita chips for $6. They have different types of hummus and I am unaware of when each flavor will last. This time they had three flavors and only one was spicy. I bought mine in the morning and the lady owner gave me a ice pack to keep the hummus chill. Which is something you have to keep in mind.. the hummus has to be chilled or else it will go bad fast. The owners of this bakery are very nice! She remembers me and asks about my friends who came with me the last time I saw her. Unlike another vendor who seemed fake and rude!! Don't have cash? No worries, they take cards because they have square. The owners are at the Richardson location. Their stand is at the Fairview location too but their employee is running that location. I almost forget to mention that they sell BAKLAVA! I am not a big baklava fan but they sure looked yummy! My trip to the market is for two reasons.. Chelles Macarons and Bliss Street Bakery!

I picked up some of their Aleppo Pepper Hummus and some seasoned pita chips for $6 total, and it…read morewas the best hummus I've ever eaten. The vendors were very sweet, and also let me try the baklava which was amazing. These are very nice people who make wonderful homemade food at a great price!

I just moved to Plano so this location is my newest "home base"Trader Joe's. After living in San…read moreFrancisco for over 20 years I was eager to check out what the Texas TJ's were like. My parents lived in Garland so I'd visited the Walnut Hill & 75 location over the years and liked it, other than the fact that they're not allowed to sell hard liquor which is a BIG BUMMER but not the store's fault. I went to this location around 2pm on a weekday and it was BUSTLING! The selection was pretty good and just about everything on my list was in stock. The store is super clean and well stocked by happy, helpful and smiling employees as always. There were even plenty of shopping carts and baskets available which is never the case in downtown San Francisco. The lines were very manageable even though the store was packed with shoppers. My cashier informed me that this is the busiest location in the DFW area, but I'd argue that the Walnut Hill location is just as busy. I was thrilled that the lines don't snake around halfway down the aisles like those for a theme park roller coaster as they do in SF.

The posts all said how great the customer service is, the prices, the whole vibe. So, I thought I would give it a shot, and the prices and the quality of products did not disappoint. I only gave it three stars because the only two customer service people I came in contact with were not friendly at all. For example, when I checked out, the cashier handed me the receipt, made no eye contact, did not acknowledge me in any way. Major pet peeve of mine. Having said that, the ketchup flavored potato chips are amazing!

The things that are more expensive you truly feel like they are good quality and a decent value. They have a lot of produce that you wouldn't see anywhere else. The bakery is legit and has awesome cakes and breads. Snacks and dried goods imported from all over the world. They have a really nice selection of flowers that they'll beautifully wrap up for you. Plus the cafe has really good food. We always get pizza and it's great quality for a great price. They also have a playground for little ones. Shopping at Central Market is truly a one of a kind experience and I always leave feeling excited about the new and unique things they have. They frequently have special events and themes too. I remember a few years ago they did one on Portugal and had a bunch of imported Portuguese items and they made Portuguese bread and pastries in the bakery. It was amazing.

Once you walk in, it is kind of sensory overload. There is a "food court" right up front with several options. Hamburgers, tacos, pizza, sandwiches, sushi, gelato, and more. Plenty to choose from. I also went back to the bakery and checked out their assorted baked goods. I was underwhelmed. They looked phenomenal but they were average size, etc. But the prices were outrageous. More expensive that San Diego prices which kind of surprised me. I ended up getting a hamburger. The chef was very nice, friendly, made me laugh. He built me a fantastic bleu bonnet burger. It was tasty, flavorful, filling. It was cooked a little more than I would normally want, but still yummy. the Brioche Bun was good, but did fall apart a little bit. Maybe warming it on the grill had something to do with that. I went with a combo that included a drink cup for the help yourself drink station. The drink station had interesting flavors I have never seen before, and some old standards like coke, diet coke, sprite. The combo also included crinkle cut fries. They were warm, golden brown, delicious but they were a little overdone. Definitely needed some ketchup to help eat them. The staff at the checkout lines were smiling, laughing, friendly, and when they had to check out one of their coworkers, you could see the strong camaraderie amongst the employees. It looks like a fun place to work and the team works well together. I got dessert at another place in town. Enjoy the photos.
