I stood there for a while, when the girl at hot foods came over to let me know the deli counter was closed. Apparently someone didn't show up and she was too busy to help customers. This means I have to go to another grocery store so I went to checkout with what I had in the cart. There were 2 cashiers and 1 bag person standing all looking at their phones doing nothing. This place is poorly run and managed. I know it is hard getting help but geez. This is the last time I will be going to this grocery store. It is always a chore to get someone to help at the seafood and deli counter. Time to find another grocery..

But I'm afraid that after what happened today this household is done with this Wal-Mart. I am a disabled 74 year old woman and my son does much of the shopping because of my health conditions. I live on SSI and I adhere to a strict budget so when my son checked out he ask the cashier to split the ticket between both debit cards. He told how much to put on the first card but she failed to put in the amount he ask for and the ENTIRE ticket went on my card! Which just destroyed my September budget. She apparently was very cavalier about it. THIS IS NOT FUNNY TO ANYONE WHO'S ON A TIGHT BUDGET. BUT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME! ITS AT LEAST THE THIRD OR FOURTH TIME ITS HAPPENED IN THIS STORE. The store is well organized and stocked and as usual, the staff members are very helpful and friendly.

The Walmart at 13420 W Coal Mine Ave in Littleton used to be a good place to shop, but…read moreunfortunately that has changed. Prices have increased significantly--items in the cosmetics department that once cost around $10 are now $13 to $15. Clothing prices have also gone up, yet much of the selection is still low-quality polyester with very few natural fiber options, making it hard to justify paying $30 or more. Another frustrating issue is that many makeup and personal care items are now locked behind glass, but there often seems to be no staff nearby to assist customers. The store's recent reconfiguration has also made shopping more difficult, as items have been moved around and there is rarely anyone available to help locate them. Overall, the shopping experience has declined enough that it no longer feels worth it to shop there. At this point, stores like Target or Walgreens offer a more convenient and satisfying option for cosmetics and clothing.

Surprisingly, this was a fairly well stocked full service grocery store, with wide aisles and a good selection. Mind you, it's not whole foods, but they do very well for such a small town. The meat selection is good, the variety of staples (both food and non-food grocery items) substantial. That said, there were some things that were lacking -- notably the produce department which had less variety than I would have liked (but then again, I'm from the west coast where fresh fruits and veggies are far easier to come by -- I find in general that Colorado grocery stores don't do as well).
