A crisis in our country is the state of the healthcare industry and the toll it takes on providers. Providers can become so overworked or burnt out that they forget to see their patient as a person or have so little time that spending any extra time advocating can seem daunting. Dr. Gburek found me at the lowest point in my life. By simply listening to me, treating me like a human being, and advocating for me; he made all the difference in the world. He carefully made care plans based on my life goals like having children and factors such as my age to refer me to specialists. I had a unique case where I became medically handicapped in terms of medication. Steroids and NSAIDs cause me to develop stomach issues I had never even heard of. Stomach issues that caused me to be unable to eat regularly for nearly an entire year. I was wasting away to nothing while I waited for Cigna or any doctor to help me. I had lost 20 pounds unintentionally in 365 days. He tried to send me to specialists that could find an answer for my symptoms, but to my dismay, those specialists had no answer for me or even any ideas of how to help me. If you've ever been in that position you know how lonely and desolate it can be. It was traumatic To even be brought to that point I spent years of my life arguing with Cigna that my life mattered but, naturally, they only want to hear what the doctor thinks. Even if that doctor has not throughly completed an assessment, offered any treatments aside from medication, or been inappropriate with your care. Dr. Gburek is not one of those providers. He takes your health and goals seriously and will advocate to give you your life back. He is the only provider who advocated for me with Cigna over the last 3 years. My health struggles robbed me of my identity and I believed there was no hope. Dr. Gburek did not leave me with no hope and he did not leave me without solution. Instead, he fought for me and saved my life. By giving me a life with manageable pain, I am able to pick back up the pieces of who I used to be and who I want to become while continuing to help others as he helped me. I want providers like Dr. Gburek to know how important their care is so they don't lose sight of why they do this and continue to help people. I want patients to see this and know that there is hope for your case. He deserves all the praise and I am incredibly thankful for my healthcare hero. The injections were quick and smooth (not going to say painless because that would be lying) but if you can't have it a little pain, they have the option for a local and aesthetic. If you are dealing with back or hip pain or pain in general your body, I would highly recommend scheduling a visit through your doctor.

There is a reason the other reviews echo the exact same sentiment. Lauren is rude and condescending and honestly, she has no clue what she is talking about half the time. They treat patients like transactions. That's it that's all. Last year, I ended up pregnant and miscarried but the way this practice treated me/the pregnancy/my other providers was honestly disgusting. Even then, I was receiving conflicting calls from different staff members having to repeat myself over and over again. There are several other pain management clinics to choose from. They lie about contacting you and when you show them they DIDN'T call you, they decide it's best you find care elsewhere. I bet. This is exactly what happened. I spoke with them on Tuesday the 3rd to schedule a follow up in March and by Wednesday the 4th they were saying I needed to be seen before my medicine could be refilled even though it was already due for fill and I was just seen last month claiming they called and left me message after message. Like I said, they seem desperate for money. As a manager myself, I see what is happening. Their employees are making activity notes as if they are doing their jobs but in fact, aren't. They don't like this being brought to light. Instead of taking accountability, they will make up more lies like "oh that's because so and so wasn't privy to that". However, if talking about an activity note that pops up on my account, ALL employees would be able to see this prior to scheduling an appt. Not to mention, THEY called me to schedule the March appointment. Not the other way around. They lie when it's convenient for them and fits their narrative. It's ironic that Dr. Singa would even have anything to say being that I haven't seen him personally since 2023. I was always pushed to his PA's. People are people and a bad apple can slip through the cracks. Every other physician involved in my care during that admission communicated with me personally. When I raised these concerns directly and advocated for a higher standard of communication and care, I was met with defensiveness rather than accountability. Rather than addressing the pattern, the practice's administration chose to part ways with me as a patient. I want to be clear that this review is not about disagreeing with a single clinical decision. Later, I was surprised to receive an email receipt for a $39 platform charge. I immediately called and spoke to a representative, who explained it was a fee for booking online, but that I could opt out of future online bookings. I wasn't informed of this choice, and I wasn't aware I would be charged for making an appointment. She said I should have received an email to fill out a form, and that form mentions the charge for making an online appointment. I was billed for this fee before I had a chance to learn about it in the next step I haven't taken yet. Although the fee was refunded, I didn't receive an apology or acknowledgment of the confusion. When I called again to express my discomfort with their platform fee, I felt the staff was unresponsive. I was told I could make future appointments in person, but would lose access to online features such as booking and homework exercises. I canceled my appointment, and I'm glad I did based on other reviews. It's like going to a restaurant and having to pay a place-setting fee.
