Anyone who says that Native American culture has been wiped out hasn't been to Native Visions. This store has been around for over a decade now. Initially, I thought that this store would not last as people don't always need to buy Native American items, but I've been proved wrong. People love to get their powwow on apparently and pass it on. I've personally only bought one item here in the last 12 or so years. The other handful of times I've been here, I've mainly just window shopped. I think I got some figurine once a long time ago as a gift for my brother. The store is pretty narrow and well-stocked. The lights are bright and actually make the room a tad bit hot. There's a counter in the center of the store as well as the register at the back. They usually have pretty interesting displays out on the store front that doesn't always pertain to Native American culture (i.e.: African American culture, for example). Come to think of it, they never really specify which "Native" Vision they're talking about. We only assume that the owner means Native American. If you have any soul, you'd come here and buy something...or just take really long looks. read more

I love this place and have been a customer for quite a few years when it was still in the mall across the street. This past weekend though, they really showed their customer service and true dedication to their clientele when I visited the store on Sunday. I had previously received a turquoise ring from them as a gift from a (now former) boyfriend. Because the sentiment attached to the ring no longer felt positive, I was really looking for a new ring to trade in for. After talking this through with the employee on duty, I was able to find a lovely new ring to treasure and was able to use the old ring as partial credit for it. As I sit here I look at the new ring on my finger with so many fond memories of the store and the purchase. I have always felt a special connection to the purchase of rings especially and am so happy with this purchase and its connection to a fabulous store. I was looking on Yelp and I wanted to go to the Native Vision so I did. First of all I was just brazing around just looking and see what I like. I bought two set of earrings small Turquoise cost me $22.95, Small Amber Earnings $19.95, Medium Amber Pendant $28.95 and Artifacts Cord $2.00 plus tax...... Some of the items over pricey and I know the Turquoise, Amber, Silver, Gold, Copper and some other stones are real but still it's over pricey especially their silver bracelet too expensive almost $300.00... I love this store. To me this is the only store where you can get authentic Native American items besides going to a Pow Wow. They have silver jewelry, fine art, replica artifacts,incense and my AB-SO-LUTE favorite... Custom Work. When I first walked in, I felt a very strong positive vibe in the store but I also felt a strong negative vibe as well. But besides the energy, I would say that is by far one of my favorite place to go because not only they have a large variety sections of tumble stones and raw stones but they also carry jewelry pieces as well as incense and Native American stuffs. We stopped in here just to window shop and I couldn't get past admiring their two pillars of amethyst facing their display window. As soon as I stepped in, there was a sort of calmness and to my right, there were incense and sage smudge sticks. If you walk in further, there are display cases of jewelry of every kind, Native American artifacts then my energy focused towards the chakra stones and crystals towards the back of the store and on my left hand side. I met Noam and his wife Kayla. Noam chatted for a bit and I picked up a sage smudge stick and a beautiful amethyst crystal to add for my home. Amethyst: This stone is a meditative and calming stone which works in the emotional, spiritual, and physical planes to provide calm, balance, patience, and peace. Emotionally, amethyst is used in crystal healing to help heal personal losses and grief, bringing one gently past. Amethyst has a gently sedative energy that can promote peacefulness, happiness, and contentment. It also is said to bring emotional stability and inner strength. This stability and strength not only helps one hold firm in one's life, but it can enhance flexibility and cooperation. To be flexible at need is a sure sign of strength. Sage smudge sticks: If you're feeling stuck, negative, sluggish, or even downright depressed, it may be due to some stagnant energy in your field. Out of town guests, with less than 24 hour turn-around, were interested in getting some crystals and stones. A visit with the hub to our fave metaphysical shop had them returning to our house sadly disappointed. I decided to see if any fellow Yelpers could help us out. Going thru all the listings didn't cull many choices due to the time. Am not sure why so many marketplaces close early. Seriously, 7 pm was the average closing time. Don't get me started on that...ok? Anyway. I passed over the name Native Visions several times, thinking they would deal strictly in American Indian cultural materials. Don't get me wrong. I have great respect for all cultures and religions. But it was not what our guests wanted. Two things changed my mind. First of all, their info said the hours for Fridays/Saturdays are 11am thru 9pm. Secondly, it stated that they carry healing and mediation stones. AHA! Just what we were looking for. A quick call confirmed the 9pm closing time and we were off to Cerritos, a short 10 mile journey. Even before I passed through the doors I was mesmerized by a gorgeous amethyst geode which was at least 2.5 foot tall! The amazing music and incense that greeted us was almost as lovely as the warm welcome we received from the staff. And that was all I needed to know about whether or not I would be returning! Yes they have a lot of American Indian jewelry, walking sticks, dream catchers, etc. But their wares also include a wide variety of stones and crystals for meditation and healing. There was a nice supply of loose and wrapped herbs (and necessary accoutrements) for cleansings. I know I'll be going back when I need to restock. Then...there's the jewelry. Of course you will find a great amount of Turquoise pieces. However, almost every major stone has its own section of rings, bracelets, earrings and pendants. All the basic healing stones/crystals are neatly displayed, including information about their properties. There is also a surprising amount of lesser known ones too. As if that wasn't enough, I found the prices on loose stones to be very reasonable! Speaking of money matters and surprises...they were having a killer sale on Minnetonka Wedge Espadrilles...limited sizes and styles for only $20 a pair!! I would have gladly picked up more than one pair, but I knew that there were other goodies calling out to me. OK. Regarding the staff. As I said we were welcomed into the shop. Besides being friendly, all of them were extremely knowledgeable about the products and happy to answer all questions. How often does that happen nowadays? Not often enough I say. While it might seem like I've mentioned eveything possible about our shopping expedition. I know I could still go on about things like the copper, gold and silver jewelry, including custom made pieces and other wonderful things. I shall stop for now.
