My best friend used NudeFX for her wedding spray tan and looked gorgeous so I thought, well maybe that would help me feel nice since I always feel better when I have a nice glow. I was a bit concerned since I didn't see many larger clients so I sent them an email and received the nicest response back from Jessica saying that they catered to all body shapes and sizes ABSOLUTELY and just let the person who was doing my spray tan what my comfort level was. Well I booked an appt at the Midlothian location for the very next evening. I was actually pretty nervous when I went inside but Ciara was nothing short of amazing. I told her it was my first spray tan and I was nervous. She explained everything to me and asked if I was still nervous or had any questions. I told her I wasn't nervous about the actual tanning but more my body. She looked right at me and said "You are beautiful, don't forget that". She left me then to get undressed to my comfort level, giving me many options and she made me feel so comfortable in that moment that I actually removed more clothing than I ever thought I would! The whole experience was really amazing, she told me how to pose and what to do and got the harder to reach areas all while making me feel amazing. She explained the aftercare step by step and told me to text them if I needed anything. I rinsed it off last night and woke up this morning and I AM OBSESSED with this tan! I've been tanning at many, many places, but this is the first time I have ever had to clean my own bed. That = a big fat gross in my book. As paying customer, I don't want to clean up someone else's sweat. Isn't that why the workers are getting paid? I did have a coupon as a new customer for 2 free tans which was cool so I went tanning anyways. Cleaning the bed wasn't that horrible, but I'm not doing it again. If your willing to clean, the prices seem ok. Packages start at $30 for 10 tans and there are various others. Note that they do not have stand up tans here either. This is a bare bones establishment so don't expect any goodies offered at other tanning salons like safety goggles to use, free stickers, deodorant, body spray, lotion etc.. its just not there.

Every time you enter, you are greeted by smiles from the Front Desk. Everyone is very kind and has a warm personality, the atmosphere is nice and the interior is beautifully decorated. The only services I have done is cut and color, such as a balayage. This salon and medspa seems to be the one-stop shop for all sorts of needs from hair, tanning, makeup, manicures/pedicures, etc. The massage chairs while you get your hair washed is top notch. Sara is phenomenal. She takes the time to make sure that you are comfortable, listens carefully to what you want, super accommodating and just always does a great job. Even the advice that she gives, she doesn't overstep and try to take anything over without your approval. The entire experience is a breeze with her. I look forward to booking with her again when she gets back from her maternity leave and I would definitely not mind exploring other services.

I also am not comfortable going back to the salon at this point. I am relieved I got my money back but the damage will take years to repair. I wear wigs daily to look professional for work. I'm not sure how I'll manage on vacation at the beach or for photos but given the circumstances I'll have to make do. Hopefully the salon learned to be more cautious and perhaps do a strand test on hair they aren't sure of while also not leaving the bleach on too long.
