When I first started tanning I got no direction on what beds would be good and why much less how many minutes I should use. The employees were nice but unknowledgeable. Then, 6/29, the evening of my tanning revolution happened. It was Friday night maybe 30 minutes before they closed. I had never seen Amanda before. She pleasantly offered upgrades and lotions based on recommendations for my skin that she explained. She found reasonably priced options for me when I hesitated to spend. As someone who works in sales, I'm not easily sold on anything. But Amanda presented facts and was very knowledgeable that made it worth me spending extra money. Then chaos ensued and she handled it with such grace. With minutes to closing, there was a flood of people wanting to tan but none of the beds wanted to work. There was one woman hollering from her bed about how it wouldn't turn on. I was in the lobby... the line was growing. Amanda never lost her cool. As a manager, watching how she engaged with customers and worked to problem solve... if I had a position available I would have tried to hire her on the spot. But honestly, I am not even sure if I could have convinced her to leave... she seems like she loves her job that much.

Through it all, she was professional and organized and really pleasant to be around. She has an amazing attitude and a disarming personality, which is great because I tend to be awkward :) Her studio is so cute, and is in a great location in the fan. I felt really relaxed while getting my makeup done in the studio. When she came out to meet me at my wedding venue, she was ready to go and all setup by the time I got there. She breezed through makeup for the girls and had my makeup done on time, as promised. I felt amazingly beautiful both times she did my makeup, but especially so on my wedding day. The airbrush foundation that she uses really does last 8 hours. I was still getting compliments on my makeup by the end of the night, and it was a loooong day! It only took them 2.5 hours to do hair and makeup for all 4 of us and they seemed so at ease. They made the morning of my wedding so wonderful and the final product was fantastic! I loved that they asked questions of each bridesmaid- what they envisioned, if they wanted fake lashes, etc. They really listened and we all were really happy with the final product. Candance was also very flexible with me- I was planning my wedding from 3 hours away so Candance and I communicated via phone and email. She also only requested a 50% deposit on the services at the time of booking. This was a nice concession I wasn't finding with other services. I think some of the comments below don't consider the fact that tanning is an optional service. It's not going to be cheap to have a high-quality tanning experience. I did not feel pressured to buy anything that was offered. Tanning lotions are not typically cheap, spending $50-$100 for a good bottle of tanning lotion is very normal. All in all, I used the spray booth and bought a tanning lotion. Everything here was a good experience the negative reviews clearly wanted something for nothing. The last thing I will say is that the ladies who are working here are very friendly but also they're not making a $1M year - so let's not treat them like they're supposed to be perfect have it all together while you're being rude and demanding. Be kind, be patient, and get your tan on.
