She was a nice person and I was hoping I found someone I could stick with, but no, I have not. I'm really surprised about my experience since I decided to go see her based on the glowing reviews here and the experience she claims to have. This is why I felt like I had to leave a honest review. ------ Update: its been less than a week, and she has used too much glue and didnt smooth it out, the glue is clumpy and has sharp edges, it pokes my eyelids no matter how gently I touch them. And whe they fall out and gets in my eye - it hurts really bad and scratch my eyes they turn red.

I'm reposting this review I left on WeddingWire…read more.. Victoria was my hair and makeup artist for my 10/21/23 wedding. I had a hard time finding an artist who was in my budget especially because I was just getting my hair and makeup done, none of my bridesmaids or family, and many artists have really high minimums. I'm thankful for Victoria because she could come to my hotel and get me ready and I looked absolutely amazing on my wedding day - my dream look was really achieved. She took my feedback and suggestions really well. She was always very sweet and kind. However, I had some problems leading up to the day that meant I can't leave a 5 star review... I had some communication problems because my emails would sometimes bounce back and my calls go to a phone no longer in service - one time I even had to reach out to her on Facebook to get in touch with her (after I had paid). I booked my trial with her and drove from where I live in DC down to Richmond (even staying in a hotel overnight) and she wasn't there. I was truly shocked. She was very apologetic and came up to meet me in my apartment in DC for my trial instead, but it left a pretty bad impression and made me very anxious for my wedding day. I'm really glad I did the trial because there were some things I wanted to fix for the wedding day (all of which she achieved, except for having the fake eyelashes be a bit too long so they butted up against my glasses, which I pointed out for the trial but was still a problem on the wedding day. I've had my makeup done for other weddings and the fake eyelashes weren't a problem then, so I know shorter ones exist...) Thankfully, she was better at communicating over text after that and showed up on time for my wedding day and everything worked out really well, so all's well that ends well, but there were some bumps in the road.

I really loved having her do my lashes, but the distance made it necessary for me to find someone in the area to do my lashes if I wanted to continue having them done. I used Yelp to find luxe lashes. I booked an appointment with Anastasia. My first two times at luxe were a great experience, had no issues with the lashes. The third appointment was on Dec 23rd. It honestly seemed sorta short, I was wondering how my lashes were done so quickly. Well by the morning of Christmas, I realized all of my lashes were coming out. It was crazy- they were literally falling out in clumps in the middle of me talking to my patients! Which was sorta embarrassing. By the next morning they were almost completely gone, only the amount I had before the fill was left. I called luxe to ask what could be done. I was offered a free appointment for my lashes to get redone. I was leaving the area that day, and wouldn't be back until after the holidays, which was the whole reason I got my lashes done. After that I was scheduled for two months of 80hr work wks so I really didn't need lashes for that. Explained my situation and asked for a refund. By this point, it was clear no wanted to remedy my situation. I had to keep calling. Eventually I got in touch with the owner. Our whole convo I felt that she was accusing me of being the reason the lashes fell out (i.e. asking me if I showered or cried). However at the end of the convo she said she would refund me. The next day I was back home for the holidays. My friend looked at my lashes and said they had fallen out because they were placed way too far out on my lashes, and not enough glue was used. She removed the few left for me .... It's been over two weeks since then. I've called 2-3x to ask where my refund is. Refunds don't take over two weeks. I still feel like I'm being blamed for a bad lash job, and I feel that luxe cares more about money than making sure they do a good job.

I have been so self conscious about my eyebrows for over 15 years & she was able to achieve such a seamless transition into the perfect natural looking results. The fact that I don't have to wake up & spend half my morning fighting to draw on my brows makes me want to cry tears of pure happiness. I did a lot of research prior to making my decision to have permanent makeup. I looked at each artists' portfolio (IG) & while they all did stunning work, Hannah was my girl! We chatted on IG for a while and she was so helpful & patient with me as I asked questions & shared concerns. After we spoke I booked my appointment for my consultation. The next few days I kept seeing her brilliant work & knew that she was the perfect person, so I asked her if we could do my consultation & appointment the same day! She made it work no problem! On the day of my appointment I arrived 15 mins early & we got started with paperwork. Once that was done we discussed my vision of how I wanted my brows (color, size, type of style I wanted). Hannah was kind enough to mock up two different styles so I could pick after seeing it & it made a world of difference. My biggest stress was choosing if I wanted more hairlike brows or more shaded in type with visible hair strokes. Hannah mapped out my brows based off measurements and bone structure (which I love) using a temporary pencil - & once I selected which one I liked we got to work on numbing. The rest was history! Super great conversation, and absolutely amazing artist! I can't wait to come back for my touch up in 4 weeks. Love love love this place! Go book today!!!!!
