Please *note* I bought the "Full set Xtreme Eye Lash Extension" Groupon for much cheaper price than it is now. The inside of Lash Studio by Elle was very posh, clean and cute. There was coffee, and some chocolate in the sitting area. The studio was very clean and beautifully decorated. The certified Xtreme Lash stylist, Amber, was very nice and very informative about the difference between Xtreme lashes and other lashes. I've gotten my eyelashes done many times before in NYC. I was hoping Amber would be my monthly go-to eyelash stylist but unfortunately, my first visit and I wasn't 100% satisfied with the results. I am going to give a fair and honest review so here's why: I showed Amber a couple of pictures of how I want my eyelashes from Lash Studio's own Instagram and Facebook pictures of their before and after Eyelash extensions. I was very impressed with the photos Lash Studio by Elle had (hence why I bought the Groupon). The photos display women with long AND thick lashes. However when Amber asked me what I wanted and I showed her pics from their own website, she said she cant do volume/thickness, she can only "lengthen my eyelashes to give it a mascara effect"... Problem was that I already have naturally long eyelashes, I needed volume... I wanted her to be able to work with my type of eyelashes but she seemed to only know how to work with people who have eyelashes similar to hers which are short eyelashes. I even showed her a picture of two ladies on their company's website to indicate that's exactly what I want but Amber said I'd have to pay her an EXTRA $20 for VOLUME and THICKNESS on my eyelashes. I expressed what I want, as I've had previous eyelash stylist in NYC give me thick voluminous eyelash extensions many times before for the same price, and within the same amount of time. Amber repeated she can make it thick for $20 more otherwise she's just going to add eyelashes for length purposes and that she would try her best. (sigh) I laid down hoping for the best, like any girl on her first visit to a salon. After 3 very still tiring hours, I notice she did a nice job but not a great job. Her work was nice enough for me not to say anything negative, but not nice enough for me to want to come back to do it again. I know she tried her best,as putting on Eyelashes is very tedious and takes lots of patience on both ends, so the 3 stars I've given are going into Amber's effort, the interior decor of the studio, and the friendly atmosphere. Thanks for trying Amber, I appreciate your effort. For everyone else, I added updated pictures of how my eyelashes look on day 9.

You can get your lips tinted, eyebrows put on (or waxed off), tooth gems, and brow laminations, but I think there is more to come! This is a woman owned & operated business, and it is gorgeous on the inside- so crisp & clean. I love being in here. There's a parking garage close by, and the entrance to Atelier is in the backside of the building (a little tricky). I love it here, and that's all I'll say about that.

I have been to this location a few times before I became a regular customer. The service is amazing…read moreeach visit. My eyebrows are threaded and last about 4weeks normally. Due to covid she has take greater practices to keep everyone safe. She takes temperatures and sanitize your hands before entering into the business. Employees are cautions and wipe everything between each customer. With time for drying of each surface after cleaning. I feel more like family than a customer each visit.

She proceeded to still put the pink and say "it will be painted milky white after. Of course I would trust the professional right? WRONG. She handed me off to another tech to finish my French manicure and I told the guy what I wanted...Milky white background. In disappointment he said why did she put the pink instead of the milky white. Then apologized and said if we do the milky white it would make the nail thicker which I specifically said I didn't want (I wanted my nails thin". I had to settle for the pink which I didn't want because I didn't want to waste anymore of my time. At the end I paid $155 and they kept demanding tip. I gave $5 and they said "between the three??" And I'm like???? I tipped Kathy very well because I know hard work, dedication, and care but if you give me Mickey Mouse how can you expect tip??? I got my nails done here on Friday for the first time. My nails were done by Hannah…read more She was very sweet. She did a great job executing the top part of my nails and shortening them as I requested as I am starting a pottery class I need them short for. My issue is the fact that the thumbs and pointer fingers were not executed well in terms of the refill. I left the salon and noticed giant gaps on my thumbs. These photos were taken less than 24 hours after getting my nails done and it looks like my thumbs have been grown out for over 1 week. I have been getting my nails done for years and they do not grow this fast and I have never had them look like this immediately after leaving a Salon. They were asking me to pay $25 to get the refill fixed and repolished. The only thing they are offering to do for free is to touch up the gel. So I was stuck with heavily grown out acrylic that will be masked by gel. I was speaking with Than over the past 2 days and I became more and more upset with my interaction with them. They were unwilling to offer me any better option to fix my thumbs and pointer fingers even though this was an error of their employee. In my one email I used the word "crappy" to describe the work done on my nails and then they refused me service altogether. I paid $60 for these nails that look grown out 1+ weeks and I have only had them for 3 days. These likely won't last for another week and I feel insanely ripped off. I am shocked by this and this is truly the worst experience I've had at a Richmond nail Salon yet. In response to owners response (on Google) These are nails that I wanted done for my anniversary and I am upset they look the way they do after just 3 days. The polish is not the concern so that was not a real solution. The solution offered to me was offensive as I was requested to pay 50% the cost of a 10 finger refill to fix 4 fingers when this was not done properly the first time by an employee of yours. I agreed in email that the other fingers seemed to have grown naturally but I provided photos from Saturday showing the giant gap on my thumbs. That was taken less than 24 hours later. I did not say something at the salon because I did not notice it until I got outside, nor was I asked if I liked them. I had dinner plans to get to so I could not spend more time there. I find it completely unnecessary to decline services to me for using the word "crappy". It seems to me based off of prior reviews that your business does not fix mistakes that you make.
