We went to have wings, a couple of beers and watch the Raiders. The hostess promptly sat us and was very sweet. It took a while before the server finally arrived. It took awhile before we got our drinks. Then much much longer for our appetizer. Throughout the evening they had people walking around checking on the same few tables. Our table wasn't so lucky. After waiting which seemed like forever, our server would show up. We decided to order desert and skip the main course. Our server finally brought out 2 burnt cookies with ice cream blopped on top. She sat it on the table smiled then walked away. Wow. The service was horrible with so-so food to follow the bad service. The service has really gone down. It's a convenient location but I'd much rather travel across town to 99th ave if the service is better. The waiters take forever and aren't attentive in the least bit. It's almost as if they feel you are taking up space. Not to mention the fact that the last time I went, my friends and myself sat in the bar and they refused to serve us our food bc one out of five of us did not have their id. The manager states id is required to sit at a booth on the bar side, yet the sign that states this is on the back of the door that is standing wide open. So how do you expect someone to see that? And if that's the case, someone should stand at the door and card people. Very poor business practices. read more

This place seriously needs to be shut down, or get entirely new staff. Every time I dine in, it takes at least 10-15 to even be acknowledged. The entire serving staff hides in the kitchen while their paying customers sit around with empty glasses and cold food. I have sat on both the "bar side" as well as the other side, service is horrible on both sides. Normally, I just wouldn't go back, but with it being Laveen, there are little to no options.. My family was at this establishment on June 18, 2019. We waited 10 minutes for a menu, 20 minutes for our drinks and an entire hour for 3 small items off of their happy hour menu. We were never even asked if we wanted entrees. Our waitress walked by our table with empty drinks several times with zero eye contact. She and the other servers eventually came out of the kitchen and walked by each table saying "not sure why your food is taking so long." No apology, no explanation, no compensation, no manager on the floor. We eventually got our food that had clearly been sitting in the window long enough for our cheese fries to harden. They looked half eaten and our chicken was no more than luke warm. Asked the male host for a manager and all we got was an "uhhhhhhh?" Asked for Togo boxes so we could take out food home to warm it up. Rather than giving us boxes, he pointed me in the direction of where I could get them myself (on the other side of the restaurant at the bar. WTF?!) At this point our server was quick to ask if we were ready to pay. Not once were we even asked if we wanted refills, entrees, ranch, boxes, etc. But the second she handed us that bill, she must have stopped by at least 3 times to see if we had signed the check yet. read more

I have tried this place over and over and each time hasn't been better. Constant bs talk between co-workers and even talk about customers. Which I am a customer and was thrown back how open they were. Not only the employees but managers as well. I have seen and heard managers talk about their customers and it didn't leave a good feeling with me. I know people can be difficult but your a manager, you should be customer service friendly and not so hot headed because one person had a fit about wings. It's not our fault it's always messed up. I don't even see some of the regulars that I love to converse with when I do go in. So with that being said, I will not be back nor will I recommend this place for anyone coming to Laveen. I want it to be good and work out but if their own employees don't care then why should I!!!! Also they need to advise their employees that hygiene is everything. If you look like you hadn't taken a shower or smell of alcohol, I do not want you serving my food. Call me old fashion but a haircut can say a lot about a person. Good day. read more

All new staff and doesn't seem like they are ready for a half way full restaurant. Took over an hour for my food and all I ordered was a burger and fries. I finally had to tell them to cancel the order because after an hr and a half there was still no sign of my food and half my party had already finished their food. I was with a party of about 16 and our food was coming out in spurts....smh they had to comp and cancel so much food it's not even funny and the poor servers were running around not having a clue what they were really doing. We had 2 waitress but only 1 was hanging in and actually checking on us, shout out to Jazmin! The manager came out after we asked for him and offered a subpar explanation about why the food was taking so long but since no burger for me ....I may go back after like 6 months when they get it together. I wish I could give zero stars. I got there at 12:30 and did not get pay my check and go until 2:30. I never even got my meal. The place had very few customers and still it took so long to get my meal I had to cancel my order and just pay for my drinks and appetizer. Another customer also canceled her order. This is the first time I tried them since they deep fried my chicken wings with feathers still no it. In my opinion this is the worst managed place I have ever been to and I eat out dialy. My drink was empty almost the entire time and when I asked for a drink or service she told me to waif because she wanted to bus the table behind me first. NEVER AGAIN. read more

In trying to find a "positive" from our experience at Native, all I can come up with is "at least no one was shot." The atmosphere is dark, bleak and depressing. From the way the serving staff lounges around you'd think that this is just something they're doing for fun. I'm pretty sure our server forgot we were actually there; when she did remember she forgot to bring my Guiness--twice. No napkins, no plates until we asked. Finally our $10, 10" house pizza came out and looked about as appetizing as a Red Baron microwaveable. The larger problem was that our cheese pizza, which we ordered for our kids, did not come out, and we were informed it would be 2-3 minutes. Five minutes later, after sitting and watching our pizza get cold, we called the time of death, paid for our wings and left. The wings are about the shittiest I've ever had. If this place were offering $20 and all-you-can-eat, free wings and had topless servers and did my taxes while I ate--I would still not eat here ever again. read more

To make what could be a very long complaint short, food is pretty good, service is absolutely terrible.. The first few times I went (about a year ago), never had problems with the service. The last few times I've been there, I'm pretty sure we've had the same server each time, and we are always there FOREVER! She never writes anything down, and is constantly forgetting things. I've served for years, and know the "oh shit I forgot to put something in" look. Each time it's the same story...20 minutes after ordering beer refills (that we had to flag them down for), she goes to the bartender who promptly starts getting our beers, and then goes to the computer. It always takes forever to get our food, and I notice that everyone sits and talks for a bit and then go to the computer to put in the order. Decent food and shitty service seems to be a running theme for this place. The last 3-4 times we went we've had terrible service (and they've never been busy when we go), and that sucks because it's slim pickings for restaurants in Laveen. If they hired some decent servers that actually cared, I might start going there again read more

Believe the reviews! Terrible service! I walked in at 1:15pm today. It was not busy at all. The lunch crowd obviously left. Originally, I wanted to be seated in the dining area, so I stood there and waited patiently for someone to greet me. I saw two waitresses come out to give tickets to whoever they were currently serving. Neither one of those waitresses looked up to see who was at the door. Five minutes passed, so I decided to seat myself in the bar area. I see one of the waitresses who was in the front earlier. Again, taking care of the current customers she was serving. Still no greeting when she passed my table. There were two workers behind the bar who didn't acknowledge me. They just kept talking to one of the customers at the bar. Another 5 minutes passed. I grabbed my purse and gave eye contact to the two who were behind the bar and walked out! I think 10 minutes is enough time for someone to be greeted. read more

Service is okay nothing over the top. Food is really good for a sports bar especially the wings. If you want a cool place to watch football and eat great wings I think you'll enjoy it. Bar side service is much quicker than restaurant. read more

I love this place and contrary to what everyone else is saying, I go here because I LIKE IT - not because there isn't anything else around. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I have had less than desirable service there before, but not enough to warrant one star - really if it was that bad you probably should have left. I know I would have. I enjoy the bar side love the music and sports bar atmosphere over the family side. However my children love to go and we often go to have lunch. Funny someone mentioned getting something for free or a discount AFTER you have already eaten. Does that really change how you felt about the food, or do you just feel better once you've been offered something free? What's even worse is having to explain to your children how the adults sitting at the table next to you can do nothing but complain. Despite the waitress's best attempt to appease them they continued to complain AND eat their food, but let's not forget they should get something free because they weren't happy. I have been to high end places and received much worse service, so I highly doubt it's exclusive to this Native New Yorker. On another note, did anyone try giving feedback to the manager or owner? I make that a general practice before I go slamming a place in a public review. In short, this is a fun place to have dinner in a casual, welcoming setting. While I have enjoyed the pizza, burgers and spinach and artichoke dip - it's the wings that steal the show! And if you find things aren't going well, tell someone while they still have a chance to make it better. Well I will say this, this particular Native has gotten my order wrong on multiple occasions however one of the managers personally apologized and made my order over. She also gave me a coupon for my trouble. Now I give it 4 stars because as upset I get over my orders being wrong my food is always super delicious. I went there this Thursday night, and I will not return. I come here often and I know most of the staff there. I love this place but after I seen how the manger treated the staff, I couldn't even finish my food. The manager is Alan, I spoke with another manager because he was yelling and kicking the tables, screaming at his employees and I could hear him in the kitchen cursing, as I was sitting semi-close to the kitchen doors. I just moved to laveen, and it became very clear that native and applebee's are my only bar sceen and restaurant options! It is a major bummer because I like to move around not go to just one place all the time, however, my experience was nothing like all the review I just read. My husband and I went in on a Thursday night, about 8, it was fairly busy I wish I remembered the servers name, he was great! The pizza and wings tasted great, I dont even like new york style pizza because I like thicker crust that is crunchy, but my husband loves soft pizza, I thought it was really good. Our server checked on us, asked if we needed anther beer at an appropriate time and we were served right when we came in and sat down. Maybe all the prior bad reviews impacted their services standards. I went back and danced on Friday, had drinks and good service. i bartend here at this location and i must say, we do offer some really great food and values! like any restaurant we may have service issues , but we have done all we can to fix that. most of our employees ARE experienced and DO care ... please don't let this sway you. Keeping in mind that we are a high volume location, there may be times when the kitchen and staff are extremely busy ... please be patient with us! we want to give good service , how else would we make money? give us another try, if there is a problem in any way ask to speak to a manager. other than that , try to relax and enjoy! thanks! read more

I have been to two other Native New Yorkers and I had a fantastic experience at those locations. This was by far the worse dining experience I have had in my entire life. It was so bad that I am typing this up on my wife and my wedding anniversary night after we went to this place for dinner. The service completely sucked. We weren't even greeted for dinner and then when we sat down our waitress acted like we were an inconvenience to her. Then our food came. The pizza was great and that was only thing that was good. We ordered 6 medium wings and 6 honey hot wings. Both tasted like the wings were cooked and prepared prior to my wife and I even ordering them. They didn't taste fresh and actually they tasted like they were under a heat lamp the entire day. The honey hot wings were absolutely terrible and I complained to the waitress and she said she would replace the 4 wings we didn't bite into with another flavor. We asked them to replace them with the mandarin orange. Within a minute the manager was at our table and they dumped the mandarin orange at our table. This is proof that they are not fresh. And the manager and the waitress did not even apologize for the bad wings. We then tasted the new wings and they were worse than the first set of wings. At this point my wife and I are were done with the place and we ask for the check. We let the waitress know about the wings and there was no comment and no apology. The best part of the story is they charged us for the wings that we tasted but didn't finish. Worse experience ever! read more
