This company is awesome, they come from Australia and New Zealand and we are super excited to have…read morea truly affordable rental camper van in the United States! You can rent out different sizes and get an array of gear with them. This is perfect for music festivals, road trips, and for camping in extreme weather. Cooking: In order to cook in the van you will need to get out of the van and turn on the propane tank. It's a good idea to leave the door to the tank open too for extra ventilation. This makes it a bit frustrating when you have to keep going in and out to open and shut the door/turn it on and off but that is campervan life. You will also need to open the top vent(and maybe even the fan) when you are cooking. When you get ready to take off, you will need to shut all the open doors and top vent so it doesn't get caught on anything or taken in the wind. You will need to pay for the propane tank to be refilled or prepay for the tank before you leave. Water: There is a 14 gallon tank on board and we only had to refill it once on our 7 day trip. There is a switch you will need to turn on in order to activate the pump. Make sure you turn it off at night so the pump doesn't freeze! There is not a garbage disposal in the sink so make sure your plates are scraped off before you wash them. Don't put garbage down the sink. It is only cold water for dishes so you will need to boil some water and fill the sink in order to scrub dishes properly. I used the sink for storage of clean and drying dishes when I was travelling too. The gray water tank is 17 gallons so will need to empty it if you refill it at all. You will need to empty the tank when you are done. It is easy pull of a toggle underneath the edge of the van. Food storage: There is plenty of counter space but no way to keep the food from moving around so with the cabinets filled with gear, I had to do some rearranging to get food stored in there too. The fridge was totally big enough for what I needed for my trip(lunch meat, cheese, dips, condiments, beer, and veggies). I even had some ice cream and whiskey in the freezer. It stayed nice and cold due to being run by the solar panels. The microwave is run off external power so you will need to be connected to an electrical outlet in order to use it. The cables are supplied in the van. Sleeping(bottom bed): Sleeping in this campervan was a true luxury. It rained (and snowed) overnight and I stayed nice and comfortable. The Double bed (bottom) was incredibly large, I would say it was as big as my queen bed at home at least. I was able to lay in almost every direction comfortably (i'm 5'6). It was really easy to set up too. Take the table and pole out of the slot and lay the table down between the benches and take the extra boards out from under one of the bench storage spaces to fill in the rest. The rest of the cushions are your back rests for the benches so you just lay those in the middle. It took me about 5 mins to set up my bed fully each night. The cushions were the perfect blend of firm and soft so I was able to toss and turn and stayed sleeping comfortably on all sides. Sleeping(top): This bed packs away and can be used for storage of sleeping gear when not in use too. I kept my bag up there since I didn't use it much since it was just me. This extra bed is perfect for traveling with 3 people but I lasted up here for about 20 mins before I became claustrophobic. I toss and turn at night so sleeping where I could touch the ceiling when I turn over on the bed wouldn't work great for me. For kids, or smaller adults or people that don't move in their sleep, this would be just fine. The cushions were the same as below so they were comfortable. But there isn't a stopper at the end so I could see myself losing part of my cushions to falling below in the middle of the night. It was also a little awkward to get up there too, you have to climb up from the counter and if the bed is already in place, you will need to be a little acrobatic(or nimble) to make it happen easily. Warmth: I will say that the van is not insulated so I did use a small space heater for one night while camping when it got below 20 degrees but otherwise I didn't use it much unless I was spoiling myself to warm up in the morning or before bed.*If you use a space heater, you have to open the top vent or a window for ventilation. The heater in the front cab was quite warm as well, although the heat seemed to come from under the dash instead of the normal air vents. Easy of access: You will need to be going in and out of the van often as there is no bathroom in the van. I found that going out of the back of the van was easier(and faster) than going out of the side door. The handle for the side door to open and close it from the inside was behind the cabinet so it was a bit awkward to reach.

U-HAUL WITH A BED!…read more Ever driven a U-Haul? Imagine one with a bed instead, painted orange, and not red! That's basically travelers autobahn! These vans are fine if you are moving within a city, but taking these old, ~200k mileage vans for a road trip to super remote areas is incredibly risky. Accidents and issues may come up on a road trip, but if you pick such a beaten down van, the probability of you facing an issue gets a lot higher! We made that wrong, cheap, stupid move! I rented their van for Thanksgiving and it pulled a false park on us. False park is when a van rolls off when in park because they are not fully engaged in park. This happened after staying steady in park for 5 mins and then roll off in a blink. They are cheap because they have the trashiest vans in the market. Please go with other companies; they are newer and will make the whole experience better.

Rented a RV 21 months ago B-WAC-2253177. The trip an RV was a disaster, but I never wrote a review…read moreabout it because Road Bear was going to do the right thing and give us a redo trip. Just called today to set up our trip and how lucky for me they "updated" there system and any old reservation from 2023 and back are no longer in the system. The trip started fine until we reached the RV park at 12am. No water hoses, sewage lines or TV cable for full hook ups, NOTHING. Next the slide pop out had trouble opening. Next the fridge stopped working and a strong smell of ammonia was coming from it, next the CO2 alarm started going off and never shut off. The alarm was so loud (and rightfully) so the RV park made us leave. We then had to rent a hotel for the duration of our trip. The 1800 roadside service number I called had me on hold for over a hour with finally no one to service us. This all sounds like the worst experience right? Yes, but I was told my account would be noted and a redo trip was appropriate. I didn't want my money back. I wanted exactly what they said they would do. Family trips are not easy and not something we can do every year, but 21 months later and a baby later we decided to have another go at RV'ing. I've rented before from Road Bear and every time we had a issue they solved it, but now with "The new system" I'm screwed? So when you rent from them babysit and double check their work, make sure everything is working and all equipment is ready and if you have any issues just know they will fight you now tooth and nail on their screw up thanks to the "new system". I was told by someone I was clearly bothering that an upper management person would reach out to tell me in a higher paid voice I'm SOL.

We rented a brand new vehicle with all the bells and whistles and more than enough room to accommodate our group. We could have easily accommodated another two adults and still had room in the common areas. Angie and her team provided a thorough walkthrough of the vehicle upon pickup and was available for communication and assistance throughout the rental period - just a call or text away. Angie was willing to meet me for the drop off and walk through inspection after hours to accommodate my travel schedule. We were able to ship items to the pickup location before our rental for convenience and she even shipped me a few personal items that were left behind by accident after our trip. I highly recommend renting from RV & Boat Rentals Las Vegas and will definitely be renting again in the future. Burning Man specific comments: Competitive pricing for a luxury RV being brought to Burning Man. A playa dust cleaning fee included in your rental agreement ensures you get your security deposit back assuming no other damage caused by driver(s). Angie provides several odds and ends such as painters tape, aluminum foil and floor covering to help combat the elements (heat and dust) you experience at Burning Man and help those living in the RV be as comfortable as possible. I have rented two other vehicles in the past (elsewhere) and nothing is better than renting a modern vehicle when you are going to Burning Man to ensure efficient gas / propone / water usage. Lastly, the fridge / freezer stay cold and the A/C actually pumps cold air throughout the entire vehicle - neither are things that you should take for granted when renting an RV.
