I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with Nationwide. I tried calling the store for over a week to reorder my son's glasses, but every time the phone just rang and rang, eventually hanging up without anyone answering. Since I couldn't get through, I finally went to the store in person, and when I mentioned my frustration about the phone issue, the employee just shrugged and said, "We're very busy" with a dismissive, snarky attitude. Today, I called again to check on the status of my son's glasses, and once again, no one answered and the line hung up. I ended up calling a different Nationwide location, and while they were able to look up the progress, when I brought up the phone issue, the worker didn't acknowledge it and abruptly hung up. Nationwide, this is unacceptable. I've already stopped using your services for eye exams due to previous rude encounters, and now, I'm seriously considering ordering my son's glasses online next time. Customer service should be a priority--please do better. read more

Terrible experience. My son has been going to Nationwide Vision before. But for the past 2 years, we were sent to this branch because they have expertise in Pediatrics with Special needs. They made an appointment for 11:50. My son was at the desk at 11:43. But they said no. Initially, their excuse was that the computer at the back with the doctor was not working. Secondly, my son should have arrived earlier. (Note: he is not a new patient.) They have records of him. Thirdly, they only schedule kids with special needs at 8 am and 1 pm. ( question why schedule him at 11:50 then) So, obviously, a list of excuses for him not to be seen. Because they took a couple of patients at the back. Overall, the lack of customer service skills is apparent. It is sad to have to deal with this kind of staff. Goodbye Nationwide Vision. read more

They damaged my eyes. They're rude and confident. It also found out I care bought out and kept the name nationwide. Everything's called center. They don't care you're a number. They mess up orders. I can see why this office has 2 stars only I been trying to call them for two days straight to see if my glasses are ready. And they don't answer the phone and if they do answer they hung up without even letting customers talk or say the reason for the call. This location used to be my go to location. But I tried calling a month ago with some questions...called a total of 6x in 2 days with no answer. I ended up walking in since nobody would answer. I placed a contact order 3 weeks ago and realized they still haven't called for me to pick up. I called today 3x and even left. Message...nothing. Either they need more staff, or better trained ppl to do their job. When I was there last time, you could tell they were busy. But one girl decided to go to Starbucks and tried to take orders from everyone. After my contacts. I'm not going back to this location anymore. Update. I went to go check on my contacts and it had arrived. I asked them when it arrived and which didn't get a call that they were ready. And she just stated at me like a deer in headlights. I asked about why I couldn't get thru on calls and if they just don't answer the calls and her answer was that the calls are now routed to a call center... Except when I called it gave me that location's address address. So that's still false but either way they are supposed to call me when my product arrives. Not wait for me to show up a month later. Never able to reach anyone on the phone. The office always takes 2 plus hours per appointment.

I accompanied my husband for his eye appointment and I had a prescription to select eyeglasses. However, as soon as we entered the professionalism this location had demonstrated in the past was seriously lacking. The office was too heavy with staff, however only one person was working answering phones giving us paperwork to complete (which turned out to be for the wrong patient). We will never return to this location. Service has seriously declined. No problem with the optometrist or the technician that took to eye measurements, but the staff on the floor are not trained at all. Don't go to this location. read more

Went in for an annual eye exam that was overdue... like the need for a deep clean and remodel of this store. It's a mess. I literally was scared to put my chin on the machine. My favorite part was when this lady tested my eye using a pink Sharpie. Then a book and told me to read a few lines. I have never seen anything like it. Where's the professional equipment? Since it was dirty in the store, I wouldn't try on any glasses. I saw no wipes. It was not like this 2 years ago. I hear they specialize with children with special needs. No Tvs needed water. Very disappointing. The children deserve better. Get it together Northern store. read more

Worst customer service. Came in to get daughter glasses fixed. "Mrs.Donna" claims she put in for a new pair. Came back two weeks later when I haven't heard anything and there was never no order place. There is only one person that is able to put in the order "Mrs.Donna" with multiple people in line waiting on her. Please hire more staff that know what there doing! read more

If you want to go to a eyeglass store where you are not treated with respect this is the place for you. I went in on a Monday and they could not give me answers on insurance but promised to call me on Tuesday, on Monday they spoke with my insurance company to get the information they needed for that call on Tuesday, but of course they did not call. I then called them and they used the go for lie, "our computers were down". I then said could they please call me on Wednesday and tell me what they found out, and to call me either way even if they had no information. I was assured that the manage would call at 10am and the gentleman also said" he would call me either way" and let me know what was happening. Need I say that phone call never came. Donna is the worst office manager. This whole place is insanely terrible. No one takes responsibility for anything and everyone pushes the blame around. More than a month waiting for glasses. Terrible service. Sent multiple pairs back for not measuring right. They broke my glasses adjusting them. Never going back once I get my glasses I paid for already. I gave one star because the lady that originally helped me was very kind.. But unfortunately they sold me s***** glasses. For my son. Tell me to bring them in if anything was to go wrong and they'll fix them. I thought everything was going to be just fine. Unfortunately like the Ray bans broke and they could not fix them. The next set I just got only had less than 30 days The arm fell off.. I take them in like they told me to and they told me that they're going to charge me to fix them. That's not what they told me. Then they said they'll check my warranty? What warranty? I was never offered a warranty. We've been homeless for a year We just got into a home. I'm a single mom of two boys and one is high needs. I was never offered anything for a warranty to fix glasses that are very expensive. The insurance company paid a portion and I had to come up with the rest of the money. In less than 30 days they're going to charge me to fix a pair of glasses. Never once again did they offer me a warranty. The staff is very rude and disrespectful and then wonder why I lose control and I cussed.. meanwhile my teenage son has been wearing his old glasses and getting severe headaches. Making it very difficult for him to be at school or be doing homework or looking on the computer. They could give a s*** less. So now my son is out glasses. Or I can pay for them to be sent out to get fixed when it's just the screw on the arm.. I could go on and on but there's no sense. Nation vision sucks they sell crap glasses. If you complain they treat you like s***. They don't follow through with what they say and they don't offer you a warrantier tell you anything about a warranty. To try to help anyone.. Horrible service and professionalism and business work. Never in my life did I ever think I would need to download Yelp just to write a review but I was so unhappy and very wish the front lady was punished. I scheduled an eye exam that was two weeks out. Filled out all the necessary documents and information they needed and finally gave them my insurance information. Two weeks go by and I go in for my appointment I've been dying to go to, I haven't been to an eye doctor In almost 5 years because of money and insurance. Note, I'm literally wearing the same prescription of 5 years ago, that's how hard my struggle has been. Anyways I go in and the front lady ask to see my Insurance card one more time and went "Oh. we don't accept this insurance here." Even though I already gave them my information over the phone TWO WEEKS AGO! I asked the lady why no body called me two weeks ago after realizing you don't accept it? She says "oh. We tried reaching you and you didn't answer." I told her I never received a call from them or a voicemail and that I check it daily. I even showed her my call log asking her to identify their number. Then she says that it's because they had the wrong number as she reads my number back to me. Which is the correct number. Then I said why didn't you try emailing me, and she had no answer. So of course I'm pissed. They didn't contact me and they didn't try to either. Then she tried urging me to continue with the appointment and pay out of my pocket. I don't have the money for the out of pocket fees let alone for a pair of glasses and frames, why do you think people have insurance? This place is a JOKE OF A DOCTORS OFFICE AND BUSINESS! read more

Horrible customer services. The ladies and the one gentlemen were all very rude and unwelcoming. I decided to wait to see if i could get in for an eye test hoping for a no show which did not happen. I left went to Walmart for eye exam they did my insurance, and exam all within 30 minutes. I returned to nationwide to get the glasses that i wanted this lady made me call my own insurance after pulling my paper work out of the trash. I have NEVER had to call my own insurance while at an appointment. While waiting for the insurer to answer the did not. I went to another location and was in and out within 45 minutes. read more

I have been to several different eye doctors, and this was my least favorite by far. Not only was there a long wait, but some people aren't very nice here. Went in, filled out my paperwork, and was taken back to do the "mandatory" tests. Told the woman doing them that I did not want to do the test where they blow air into my eyes. She said, "unfortunately, that test is required. So you have to do it". I told her that I'd never been forced to do that test. I've told every other place that I didn't want to do it and they told me it was fine, that if the doctor felt something was wrong they would numb my eyes with drops and probe them. The lady insisted she'd never heard that and I absolutely had to do it. We tried, I couldn't keep my eyes open (like I told her). She then told me "well, the doctor can do it but he will literally tape your eyes open for it". I thought she was joking, as that's completely bizarre, but she told me she was serious. What? The doctor would tape my eyes open over a test that I've been able to deny for years? I got really upset over this. After completing the two tests that I consented to, I waited in the doctor's office for almost an hour to be called back to do the actual exam. No one was in the waiting room with me so I'm not sure what took so long. My appointment was at 11:45 am and I wasn't seen until almost 1:00 pm. read more
