If Hitler and Stalin ran an auto garage ... It would be better ...
Hey, my name is Jerry. I recently went to national transmission on 14th street of Calgary AB, here is my journey.
I was directed there by another garage after the other garage clearing my needs and making sure this shop on 14th understood my problem. I walked in a man name Brock greeted me, I explained my needs, my cars specifications, how difficult it was for me to find someone and how hard of a job it was, Brock acknowledged all of this plus guaranteed that he has works on this exact car before, gave me a quote 5-6 hours about 700-800 bucks,I thought great!
NOW heres the funny part, I brought my car in at 6 am, so he could start working on it at 9, like previously agreed, didn't happen doubled booked my spot, no big deal. A few hours (8) later he calls me "we have a problem", he explained to me that he has worked on my car for a while now and JUST realized my car was AWD and my engine needed to come out before they can continue to work on it, I was thinking wow these guys are REAL PROFESSIONAL, just taking cars apart with no idea what kind of car/transmission it is... funny how the name same NATIONAL TRANSMISSION. My mother thought it would be best to keep it there, so we did. A week later Brock calls again, you car is finished, it went from 6 hours to 25 hours of labor, but funny thing is he told me 25 and my mom 30 hours (Real good show of character) and it went from 700 bucks to 1700, we paid.
This part gets interesting, I turned over my car and it sounded like it was spitting and I started drive it away.. IT DIED literally 2 blocks away. Later on that day, I popped the hood ( Hoping to see the issue ) and I did, my mass air flow wasn't hooked up right, re-cranked my car it turned over, started to drive it again, noticed my boost gage was not working, hit boost in my car my blow off valve was broken, pulled over parked turned off the car my turbo timer didn't kick in, opened the hood again , noticed my top mount inter-cooler ( this is a stock piece to my car ) was held on by half the bolts some where left on as show but most where not even screwed in, looked around the gutted version of my car noticed there is more bolts missing for little things like DRL's ect ect ... Not a huge deal just shitty service, I drove to my friends house for tools to correct these mistakes, one of them mentions " HEY , your reverse lights does not go on ", and he was right, after my transmission was put in they UNHOOKED my reverse lights, ( your going to love this ) THIS SHOP PASSED me on my insurance inspection, funnnn! oh wait theres more, my receipt for the job done / the inspection had the wrong year, wrong model , wrong transmission and false information stating my lights all work, but it gets better, I was driving it this morning and my rad started to smoke .. MY COOLANT POURED OUT OF MY CAR ... Now I have driven this car for most of summer and all winter not a single problem besides the aliment, after I took it to nation transmission, I FEEL LESS SAFE... OH last thing , Brock used his house phone to reach my mobile to complain to me about complaining to AMA and BBB, and I'll keep doing it tell Brock hands me over at least 1000 bucks.
Lets sum it up, my car barely runs after national transmission had fun exploring how to fix my car, charged me out the ass, broke things that they are not taking responsibility for, called me on a weekend to complain about my actions ( when I never called him about all the bs i have had with him ? ) and he FULLY EXPECTS me to trust this shop again ... is he serious ? is this company a joke ? read more
