I took my car in to have its front brakes replaced. They did a good job with that. Only giving four stars because I found their advertisements of everybody is approved and can go on a payment. System is very misleading. Bit of back up before my review had my transmission rebuilt from Quality transmission a year ago. At that time they told me that my transfer case was leaking and needed to be resealed I said ok and the total job was $4500.00. This time I took my 2007 ford Ranger in for a constant clicking noise from my signal light relay. I also told them that my output seal on my transfer case was leaking and to check this out. They fixed my electrical problem and when I went to pick my truck up they told me that they had to reseal my transfer case again. that the problem was far more serious than just a seal. The bill now was $1432.00. I asked how many seals they replaced. He said just one but the seal was $100.00. Once they have your truck you have to pay what they want or you won't get your vehicle back. They never called me to ask about the seal problem. read more

!!!STAY AWAY!!! Brought my transmission to get it fixed for my RV. I had it removed by one shop and rebuilt by quality transmissions, then reinstalled by original shop. After the job was done, the transmission was leaking and the speedometer no longer worked. I called them and they told me to speak to the shop who installed it (passing the blame on them) So I brought it to the original shop and they confirmed the pan gasket was leaking due to a bad seal. (Cork) They provided me with photos and a full breakdown. And also informed me that the gear for the speedometer was no longer int he transmission. I brought the RV back to quality transmissions and the rude owner informed me that it was not the gasket, event Hough I had photos and provided the photos to him on the leak itself. He turned me away and said it was the ship who installed it's fault. All while refusing to provide me with any photos of where the leak was and refused to send me an email explaining the leak so I could provide it to the installer. I then brought the RV BACK to the installers where the owner, and trusted individual I have delt with for years called the owner of quality transmission explaining what his techs assessed. He then told the manager that it was NOT the gasket, even though it clearly was, and claimed the missing gear was never there to begin with. (Then how did my speedometer work in the first place?) It was deffinetly there and they deffinetly did not reinstall it, now causing a second area the transmission is leaking from. The manager at quality transmissions then said he refuses to work with me because I yelled at him on the phone? To fix the issues his shop left would have taken time and clearly he does not have the integrity to uphold his team's work. This all 100% should have been covered under the warranty and he blatantly denied and issues with the transmission even when confronted with photos of the source of the leak, and a missing part of my transmission. Do NOT go here, read the other 1 star reviews. This is a ghetto Southside mechanic who will screw you over. Period. Do not believe a word this guy says. Bad bad bad. read more

I was on the fence with regards to posting this but I've concluded it is a disservice to the community not to. I went to quality transmission because I overheated my transmission and was driving to Saskatchewan to work at the end of the month. Quality transmission looked at it and said I need a new transmission. (I recently found out I would have been fine with a fluid and filter change) not fully understanding my options I got them to replace it. As soon as I picked up my truck I noticed it had a VERY hard shift. So I brought it right back. And they said nothing was wrong. I week later the heavy shift was worse and more common. I brought it in and once again they said they couldn't find anything. To which I pointed out I needed to drive to sask in 2 weeks and didn't want troubles. To which he responded "we'll take care of you" Fast forward 2 1/2 months with my truck parked in Saskatchewan for 2 months I jump in my truck and it's still shifting exceptionally hard and frequently I call in and explain that I've brought it in several times and it's still doing it and again he says "well take care of you" When I got back from sask 5 months after my initial appointment and brought it in they couldn't find anything and after much argument I managed to get a tech to drive with me and he noticed it within a block. After all this heartache when they finally "figured out" a possible problem. A problem that was happening from day one. They informed me I need a new transmission and mine is "out of warranty" so I need to spend an additional several thousand dollars for another transmission. There is nothing quality about "quality" transmission unless you enjoy throwing away money and being without a vehicle. read more

Please stay away from this UNPROFESSIONAL inadequate place!!!!! They are the biggest SCAM ever! We paid $4,300 for a FAULTY DAMAGED vehicle and the owner couldn't even have the audacity to tell us that there was a problem with the engine. After we bought it we went to take the car to a trustworthy mechanic who told us that it will cost about $1200 to repair. We went back to this thief at Quality Transmission Calgary to tell him and he said he will just charge us $900 for the parts!! How are you going to make us pay that amount of money for something that is damaged and you weren't honest enough to tell us what's wrong with the car in the first place. We wouldn't have bought it if we knew it needed that work! Or at least you could have had the decency to deduct that amount from what we paid you. Now you want to claim that you fixed it after us owning it for 4 months? Just to make yourself look good on google reviews? Enough with the lies! Me, my family, and most of my extended family get our cars worked on here. Theyre fast, trustworthy and generally pleasant. Its a little out of the way, but worth it. The last place I went to screwed me over pretty hard so I dont trust for my car earnestly. At least quality transmission replaced my headlight fluid for free.... read more

been coming here for years with full trust, untill the trust was broken. felt ripped off by the way i was treated. the made a mistake servicing my trans, ended up at ford and was told and full written statement from ford saying that they made a mistake installing an electrical harness seal. cost me alot of money to repair. went to the owner and was refused service. absolutly disgusted with them. be carefull with thease guys. ken read more

I went in to pick up a part for my better half. 4 men all treated me like less than worthy since I was a woman and clearly didn't know anything about transmissions. Well I've been to lots of parts stores over the years and I would say that this is the most condescending and hostile treatment I've ever gotten. When I tried to give him the gentlemen the phone to talk to the person who actually wanted the part, things changed dramatically, They went from bombarding me with a bunch of questions to asking him if he wanted the kit . Although I must admit they did condescend to him as well telling him that those parts just don't wear out and he must have a bigger problem. Either way when they were done, they gave me one of those no exchanges or refunds, never had that before from any parts store, and overcharged me for the part. I had a clutch kit installed and when I went to pick the car up, I was given a bill that was $500.00 more than originally quoted. They told me they had to drill bolts out so new bolts were an extra $150.00 and also they had to install new hydraulics (extra $250.00). One of the workers said they spent a lot of time at the "Pick-N-Pull" getting the parts. Martin never mentioned used parts and the invoice clearly says "New". This is fraud and these people should be out of business. read more
