Mr. Andy Hasler at National Property Inspections did an exceptionally thorough job reviewing a property we intend to purchase. He was on-time and ready to work immediately after arrival, with all the equipment he needed to inspect the house from the basement to the attic and roof, without asking for anything extra. His experience clearly showed in how methodically he went through every home system, interior and exterior, including things like finding a hidden attic access that even the selling agent didn't know about. Mr. Hasler thoroughly explained each finding in great detail. He was very patient and kind in making sure we understood each issue, and told us we could ask any time if we needed clarification later. He arrived first, and left last, among the group of people looking at our prospective property. He was so meticulous that the selling agent - whom he had never met before - asked to use in his services on other properties in the future. Terrible Terrible Terrible. DO not ever hire this guy for home inspection. We bought a home in Camarillo in 02/2023 and used him for home inspection as he was suggested by our agent. He didnt do a single thing to be honest. We were moving from a different city 6 hrs away so could nt be there at the time of inspection and left on him trusting he knows his job and we are paying him. There was leak at kitchen sink, RO wa snot working, several cracks in tiles/bathroom, bathroom bath tub tap/shower leaking, broken blinds, no HEPA filter at the vent, so many others. He didnt mentioned a single thing and said he is happy with the home report. I feel so many things were apparent why didnt he mention, seems like fishy. Sometime I think he got extra money/bribe by seller to get approval. Anyways, he does not know how to do his job, never ever hire him, loss of money, time and not getting what you are looking for. Same time we sold home where we moving from and saw the home inspection report, it was so elobrated with too many pictures and every single small/big was there. Well Andy seemed personable and knowledgeable over the phone, unfortunately his inspection report was less than accurate. I specifically requested that the subflooring be checked in the kitchen area because I wanted to add professional appliances which were very heavy. I also requested the roofing be checked as I noted water damage in one of the bedrooms the kitchen and the bathroom. All of this was done before I wanted to purchase the mobile home for my retirement. He did take the time to go over the report with me page by page as I lived four hours away from the purchased home. After speaking with him I felt confident, so it was certainly set a surprise when I had problem after problem after problem. The S ub flooring needed to be replaced in the kitchen, Front living area and bathroom. Roof leaked into spots within the house one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, in addition to damage to the deck awning. When I initially called about the first problem he was willing to send me back a check for $150. Problem after problem kept rising. I tried to deal with Andy directly and basically the attitude was take me to small claims court I can't be responsible for what I can't see and if the owner is responsible. Basically if he couldn't see the problem it wasn't his responsibility. My feeling is if you're crawling under the house you're supposed to be looking for these things and you're supposed to be checking for these things that's what you're paid for. Certainly rotted sub flooring under the kitchen area and bathroom could've easily been seen from underneath the unit which was readily and easily accessible. I truly wanted to resolve with him. The electrical panel turned out to be bad, the air conditioner was bad and his responses he can only comment and what he can see and if it's covered under the house he can't see it. Well what the heck is the purpose having a home inspection? It ended up costing me about an additional $4500 in repairs. I would not use this company which was over my budget and delayed remodeling significantly. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!! Andy Hasler was recommended to us by our realtor (our FIRST mistake was trusting Roman Gonzales) We knew we were purchasing an older home, however-SOOOOOO many issues with our "new-to-us" home were missed- especially the most basic, obvious things- such as the drain under the kitchen sink NOT being connected to base of sink, AND hot water tank missing parts important to water leakage AND electoral switches inoperable AND old wiring fire hazards AND tons of corroded pipes/valves AND flashing around chimney unsealed; etc, etc, etc. Our repair bills are growing! All were marked acceptable on Andy's report. ANDY is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Needless to say, he will be hearing from our lawyers. HE DID NOT SIT DOWN WITH US AND TALK ABOUT ANYTHING. Just handed us the report, took the cash, shook the realtor's hand (wink-wink) and left. We couldn't be more disappointed in BOTH our realtor AND home inspector. read more

I wasn't able to be at the inspection since I was working. I met with Andy at the end of the inspection. He reported that he had only found a few minor issues. When I moved into my condo, I immediately ran into several issues. When I ran my dishwasher, water shot out of the air valve on my sink and my pipes leaked under the sink. I had to hire a plumber for an additional $80. My washer and dryer didn't work. I hired an appliance repairman for an additional $180. My garage door opener didn't work causing an additional $50. When I contacted Andy, he wouldn't do anything about the issues and blew me off. My advice? Be there for the inspection to be sure that EVERYTHING is inspected or, better yet, go with a different company. read more

Home Inspector Andy Wallace completed my home inspection in May 2017. At the moment, there have been several significant issues with our home that he did not note or inaccurately commented on. Firstly, he failed to notice issues with the flooring in the eating area of the kitchen. The floor tiles were cracked and the floor was sagging. I find out that the subfloor and floor beams were entirely rotted away. Second, he failed to comment that there were parts of the home that he was unable to inspect, that there was additional square-footage that he could not get to. Third, the wall heater that he marked as "acceptable" does not turn on. He noted that the unit was 5 years old and I learned today from a heating specialist that the unit is much older than 5 years, since they have not made wall heaters like the one in my house in a long time. I will not be surprised if I find other significant issues with this home. So far, I am out $3500 for the floor repairs, which would have been nice to have had the seller handle. Very very disappointed by his negligent work. read more

I hired Andy Hasler@NPI for a property inspection. Long story short, Andy was negligent during the inspection. A major, highly visible damaged area under the property was missed. After 3 months in the property, the kitchen floor began sinking. I called Andy back to investigate, turns out the property had suffered a major water leak, at some point, in the past. Andy agreed to fix the floor. After sending out his contractor, and during the repairs, the kitchen floor had mold everywhere. I called Andy back and informed him we had bigger problems. Andy refused to accept responsibility for the mold, so I filed a claim with his insurance company. 6 months later, and probably the worse experience of my life, the insurance company paid the claim and the repairs were completed. It is my view that Andy did NOT take the time to do a proper inspection, for which I was paying him to do. I would NOT recommend Andy for property inspections! read more

Waste of money. Out of 4 inspectors I have previously dealt with, he is the worst. He writes inspection reports to cover his ass. His reports are not informative nor useful. You don't get a definitive statements, but generic statements that sounds similar to "retain professional evaluation of a qualified contractor". You are better off hiring an electrician, a plumber, and a HVAC guy for $100 each, rather than paying him $300. His visual inspection is poor, missing plain site, high cost items (wet soggy drywall next to shower). He is not very thorough and is eager to get your money and get out. Additionally, he doesn't truly inspect roofs. So your visual inspection of the roofs are as good as his. If you don't know any inspectors, learn from my mistake and don't hire him. Take your chances somewhere else. read more
