Paul Stahlman came out with National Homecraft and Solar Shield Roofing. He showed us examples and proceeded to tell us why their roofing was better. The cost was more, but he also said they could do a roof over our patio. Part of the reason we decided to pay more was because 0% financing was available. We didn't run our credit with any previous companies until we were sure what company we would use. Paul ran a hard credit check on both my mom and myself (of course lowering our credit score as expected) and we received approval for $5000 more than we even needed. We signed the contract and were told they would be out soon. We spoke to Paul a couple times on the timing of when the job would begin, and were looking at the week of Christmas (because he said they don't stop working and this would be a great week to do it). 31 days after signing, and just a few days after speaking with Paul, we got a letter in the mail cancelling our contract with no explanation. When we called Paul, he said there was nothing he could do, it would cost us $5000 more to complete the project as the parts cost more. How funny that we just so happen to have approval for $5,000 more than the original quote. This company obviously has no value in their customer service, and simply wants to squeeze out every dime they can from their customers. Now our credit has been hit, and we still don't have a new roof. We're going to be saving to pay in cash with whatever company we choose, so this deceitful behavior doesn't happen again. If you don't mind paying more than the job is worth, and getting screwed over, this is the company for you.

Frank McKinney and his crew started my roof in the middle of April and finished 1 week later. Frank and his crew were on time each morning and cleaned up at the end of each day. My roof looks great. Everyone from Tim the sales representative to Renee, the office manager and Mr McKinney and his crew were very nice and professional. I have already received my certificate for my lifetime roof repair. It is also transferable to the new owner if I should ever decide to sale.

Thanks largely to an out of business Orlando purveyor of swimming pool solar heating panels (the…read morecheap plastic kind that I found local squirrels just LOVE to gnaw holes into) a previous saltwater pool chlorinating system variously leaked salt water onto the metal roof installed years prior by Jim Brown Signature Roofing. If not for that leaky system my home would have a perfectly fine metal roof, but alas, squirrels beat me in the arms race and a bunch of spots on the roof suffered from rust and were in some places was falling apart. I decided to try Atlantic to get rid of that messed up setup perhaps in advance of getting solar for either electric or hot water. Atlantic got to work rapidly in removing the old roof and installing the new one. However, once the south side of the house roof was replaced they realized the roof panels weren't quite the right size or something along those lines. At that point they covered the roof in one of the newer alternatives for tar paper, this maybe 1/4" or so thick adhesive sheeting that provides both some cushioning for the roof panels and waterproofs the roof. This was because the COVID19 pandemic with its supply chain disrupting shenanigans delayed Atlantic's ability to get the proper panels. Despite this they ensured the roof with just that sheeting didn't leak, and then after a month or few they got suitable panels and finished installation in I believe under a week or so. The roof looks great and nicely caps my single-family residence. The only reason I'm dinging Atlantic a star is that they didn't clean up the site as much as I'd like. The photo accompanying this review shows one of several roofing nails from the previous roof that lurk among brush and leaves near the house in both front and back yards, along with various bits of nasty sharp metal which was dropped as the roofers sawed to try to adapt the improper sheeting to the structure. Other than occasionally stumbling upon such debris, their work was excellent.

The owner sent in a crew from Gainesville, that had the knowledge to get the job done. There is a transition from the house to the guest house behind the home, that is not a straight line and very challenging. The crew spent an entire day on that one section to make sure we were happy with what was done. Additionally there was a lot of rain between when they started and finished. The crew made sure the tarp was secured and water tight, so we didn't have to worry about the rain. I would highly recommend Atlantic roofing, they stand by their work. Anything along the way we weren't happy with, they fixed. Ed also went to bat for us with the insurance company to get us new plywood and flashing when he wasn't happy with what he saw.

I had issues with my HOA, had several pieces of furniture damaged, was lied to by Ginger (in writing) and mouthed off to by their sales manager Sean after being bought out by a corporation. They have sent multiple people out, one left a 50 gallon white cylinder of some kind of coating that rotted and killed my grass, they lied about replacing my gutter, I had leaks after 3 people on 3 separate occasions and left my backyard gate open, Thankfully my dog didn't see anyone and go after them, I did not even realize it was left open until it was almost too late This is how they treat someone who bought not just one, but two roofs from them! There is so much competition, I cannot recommend them and I dread if I ever have another issue with my roof.and need to deal with anyone over there again.
