My husband got my engagement ring there and we were exchanging it for a different one and the buying process was wonderful (but as it should be if you are spending that kind of $$). Now is where it goes downhill cause waiting for it to be set and sized took forever. They kept saying it would be done next week then next week... I gave them an ultimatum and said if it isn't ready next week (as already promised) I would not be buying my wedding band there. Guess what? Yup ring wasn't ready. But it was a blessing in disguise! We went elsewhere and they were even better and promised the integrity of the ring for LIFE! Here is another reason these guys are terrible they only guarantee their rings for 1 year! It has been 5 years but my ring lost 2 tiny diamonds and had to pay to get them fixed elsewhere since there is nothing they can do about it which just makes me question their craftsmanship but they are pretty

I cannot say enough good things about Love and Promise. More specifically BreAnne who was the…read morerepresentative that we worked with. A few months back we stopped in to try on rings and select a few different styles that my then girlfriend now fiancé liked. BreAnne spent so much time with us while we looked at many different styles, stones, and bands. After leaving I received a detailed email of every style and option along with custom options from BreAnne. When it came time to order the ring the process was seamless and easy. When the ring arrived it was beyond what I could have expected. Without Love and Promise my engagement to the most amazing woman would not have been nearly as special. I want to thank the staff and BreAnne again for the amazing service and the amazing quality of the ring. You truly made a special day even more special. -Seth Kline Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Extremely disappointed. I would not purchase from Rosados Box again…read more I originally left a positive review because I was happy with the ring and believed I had purchased what I wanted. Unfortunately, I later discovered that the center stone was moissanite rather than the lab-grown diamond I believed I was purchasing. I paid approximately $2,350 for this ring. When I contacted Rosados Box and explained the situation, their proposed "one-time goodwill gesture" was an unspecified partial credit toward replacing the moissanite with a lab-grown diamond. After this supposed credit, I was quoted an ADDITIONAL $3,800-$4,200 PLUS shipping. Let that sink in: after already spending approximately $2,350, their proposed solution would have me spending over $6,000 total to end up with the type of center stone I believed I was buying in the first place. What makes this even more frustrating is that comparable three-carat lab-grown diamond rings can be purchased elsewhere for a fraction of that total cost. Calling a proposal that still requires another $3,800-$4,200 from the customer a "goodwill gesture" was honestly insulting to me. I wasn't asking for something extravagant. I was even willing to contribute up to $500 toward resolving the situation. Instead, I received a quote that would cost substantially more than the entire original ring. My wife is heartbroken and embarrassed by the situation, and I'm incredibly disappointed because I bought this as her wedding ring believing I was giving her what she wanted. My advice to prospective buyers: verify in writing exactly what your center stone is, request the grading report/certificate when applicable, and understand exactly what you're paying for before purchasing. I genuinely gave Rosados Box an opportunity to find a reasonable resolution before writing this. Unfortunately, their response left me substantially more disappointed than I was before contacting them.

And somehow, she managed to give it all at an amazing price for a natural diamond and keep us within budget!! But seriously, can't stress enough how The customer service was top tier. We went to a diamond store next door before miraculously heading into Windy City and what a day/night difference it was. The last place didn't have a nice sales person whatsoever but Komal was so so kind from the beginning. She was always quick to respond, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free, even for someone as high strung about this as me.. She really knows her stuff and makes magic happen so run, don't walk to Windy City! Thanks again for everything because I am obsessed and this couldn't have been more perfect! I'm trying extremely hard to write an unbiased review, since my engagement ring was purchased at…read morethis fine establishment, but this place truly does deserve five stars. Of course I love my ring, but unlike many women, I wanted absolutely no part in designing or picking out what kind of ring I wanted; I didn't even necessarily insist on a diamond. I trusted my guy implicitly to select the perfect ring for me, and more importantly, I wanted to be surprised. And with the help of Charles (Charlie), he did just that. My fiancé knew from the start that he wanted a ruby as the main stone (to go with my red hair!) and there just aren't a lot of ruby engagement rings to be had. He went to Jeweler's Mall on S. Wabash Avenue (or as my mom calls it, "The Den of Forty Thieves") and asked around as to where he might be able to purchase such a ring. He was directed to Charles Horberg. As soon as he met Charles, he knew he was in the right place to make such an important purchase. Together, they chose the perfect stone and setting, which involved transferring a stone from one ring to a setting from another, until my fiancé was happy with the finished product. I couldn't have been happier with my ring, but the band was quite large and needed to be re-sized. Fortunately I work close by and was able to take it in immediately. When I walked in, I immediately loved Charlie (for some reason I naturally gravitate towards aging Jewish men who remind me of my grampa), and when Charlie told me the reason my fiancé selected a ruby (http://jewishmag.com/67mag/aishetchail/aishetchail.htm), my heart melted. When my correct size was determined, Charlie asked when I wanted my ring back. Duh, I wanted it back as soon as possible! Normally these things take some time (usually a week), but Charlie was able to turn it around in twenty-four hours. That was much appreciated. My grampa used to be a jeweler in the same building many, many years ago, and since Charlie has been in the same building for fifty years, I thought I'd ask if he knew him. Turns out my grampa's store was only one floor up. And then Charlie showed me a picture of a jeweler's banquet reception taken in 1957 to see if I could find my grampa in it. Since the picture was grainy (not to mention I couldn't really distinguish the men from one another), I couldn't find him, but I was so touched that he still had the picture. Charlie loves what he does and seems to have no plans to retire. He always sees people at their best (well, jewelry purchases tend to be reserved for happy occasions!) and enjoys making people feel good. I'm sure we'll be buying our wedding bands from Charlie and I imagine it will be another terrific experience., I can't recommend Charles Horberg Jewelers enough!
