Reported on gate check out about bad smoke smell and reported on drop off that someone needs to check that car out because of tire and smoke issue. I actually stopped within 20 min of driving the car to get out and take video because of the tire issue made me feel uncomfortable. I used the car for 3 hours. I would have returned it but was trying to make 3:45 ferry to get on island for my brothers service. RIP. Picked up TFG and returned in Falmouth MA on the same day within 3.5 hrs. I have Never smoked in my life. I told lady at drop off that the car has issues with tire noise and smoke. She did say TFG charged me for gas but corrected it as I returned it full. Now they trying to charge me for smoke smell that I reported to her in Falmouth, MA and TFGreen. On the charge paper it also says I returned car next day in Boston, which is impossible when I have receipt and reservation for less than 4 hours for MA. Let alone I have proof of being in MV at the time. TFG failed to inspect or clean car for me and trying to get charged by Falmouth MA location. With new AI check out it makes it harder to complain or write problems down when leaving with car. When I asked for proof they sent pics of dust in vents and car. Well I'm sorry but the I'm not a smoker but 2 that amount of dust in a vent cannot be done in less than 3 hrs in a car. Shady business people all around.

This was not my first time renting from the Providence Airport AKA Warwick, since I have family in the area, but I think it was our first time using Budget instead of Alamo. Budget is also the only company that has a daily toll pass, but for Rhode Island it's not really worth it unless you're going back and forth to Newport a lot IMO. We reserved a standard SUV and they gave us a GMC Terrain. For a standard SUV they promise you a Ford Edge or similar... I think our vehicle had slightly less trunk space which was almost a problem, because we were transporting my parents and their luggage on our first day, but we managed to make it all fit. Very easy to check in and get our car, and easy return process as well. I would rent from this Budget location again when visiting the area. One thing I do like about PVD is that you can walk to the car rental places, also, directly from the airport, as its connected via skywalk.

The young man at the counter was respectful and friendly. Service was fast. I paid online thru Priceline so all I had to put was a $100 security with a major credit card. I did have my own insurance so I was able to opt out of theirs. Mileage was unlimited. One thing I did like which I have never experienced with another rental company was that they allow you to pick your own in my case SUV from a row available which I must honestly will say was tough to chose. Two things I did not like was no XM radio nor do they have the option of charging a daily fee for unlimited tolls. I was going to NYC so not having the option meant they would bill me for all tolls I went thru. They do have the option of paying a gas charge of $2.95 a gallon if you don't want to fill the car on return. The return process was also smooth. I would like to acknowledge Jack and Darrian one took care of me at the check in counter and the other helped me when I was looking at the vehicle options to choose. I would rent from them again if it's a local rental that has no tolls.

She explained everything clearly and invited me to choose from several vehicles in the category I had reserved. The process was quick, easy, and stress-free. Six days later, I returned to drop off the vehicle. To my surprise, the agent checking me in was Madeline. As soon as she approached the car, I recognized her and said, "I remember you." She smiled and replied, "I remember you, too." Then came the moment that truly impressed me. She looked at me and said my name. When I asked if she remembered it, she first jokingly guessed incorrectly and then immediately said, "Jonathan." After six days and countless customers, somehow she remembered me. The drop off area is in the garage so everyone was just lining the cars up in the marked area and leaving the keys inside. I received an accurate receipt less than an hour later. The car rental garage is connected to the airport by a long enclosed skywalk and it was open. Expect a 5-10 minute walk. I had picked up at a different location and didn't know if there would be an issue with early drop off or getting to the airport afterwards. I attempted to clarify by calling and ultimately had to visit the location as they didn't answer my calls. I hope this review helps anyone else who has the same concerns.

It turned out to be a great tradeoff. Here, the price was still less than the major brands, but only by about $20; however, there was no tradeoff, as all of the rental counters and cars, including Advantage's, are located "on airport." All you have to do is walk about five minutes from the terminal, all indoors. No shuttle, no waiting. At pickup (Sunday afternoon), we waited about ten minutes for the single customer ahead of us in line. There was only one clerk--Ed, who gives great service. We finished the transaction in about eight minutes. We then walked a few steps to the garage and were in our car and on our way in less than three more minutes. Dropoff was even easier (Saturday afternoon), as we drove the car into the garage and got checked out by the attendant in about three minutes. Then we waited five minutes in line for a printed receipt, although they offer the option of dropping one's paperwork at the counter and getting an emailed receipt. Both ends of the transaction couldn't have been easier or more pleasant, the car was a-okay, and the price was right. I appreciate any business that reduces the stress in my travel experience. Advantage is likely to be my first rental choice from now on.
