A Nathan's hot dog is second to none. Their fries are near the top of the fast food pyramid. What's holding them back are their buns. The buns served here are always a few days old and on the verge of going stale. If I was making a hot dog at home, this would be acceptable, but not when hot dogs cost $4 a pop. Fix your buns and get 5 stars. Otherwise, you're stuck in mediocrity. read more

Compete shadow of it's former past, this Nathan's will never be the same as the old historical gem that should've never been torn down in late 2012. I miss that old arcade... :-( Alas, I give 4 out of 5 stars for this newer Nathan's (on behalf of the old one). The chicken tenders here are a step up from McDonald's, Wendy's, BK, and the like, due to the larger size per piece, and the breading (though Axis wishes they were slightly cheaper). Their marvelous thick, crinkle-cut fries are another distinction from other fast food chains. And, if you decide to eat-in, they actually take the food to you, wherever you're sitting (yet another step up from other fast food chains. Too bad the 99¢ funnel cakes didn't survive the relocation. And a couple of things this newer restaurant has that the original lacked are the soda fountain being outside the counters (allowing for free refills), and bigger, cleaner restrooms. Overall, it's a great enough place to dine in, though I cannot speak for any of the others who seem to have negative experiences with the drive thru (P.S. Just park outside & dine-in). And considering the rarity of Nathan's restaurants, compared to other fast food chains in Westchester County, ANY comeback is better than none at all. -Axis read more

The fries took at least 10 min, then the hot dog went on grill and then the chicken tenders started to be cooked. Listen, I'm typing this right after coming from the drive-thru. I've been waiting for like 30 minutes. This is the second time I've been here and it's been like this. I thought the first time was just a fluke due to the pandemic but nah. Apparently this is a consistent issue. 30 minutes in a drive thru and then on top of that, waiting an extra 10 minutes to get your food?? The same food we just ordered 30 minutes prior? I am NOT going to rate this business as to what it isn't, meaning the old building down the road. This is a strip mall location that is nicely appointed, clean and well kept. The staff was very attentive and very helpful. I had a hotdog with a $1.99 coupon they send you if you join their email group and I gave it to the cashier after the order was rung up and they had to void the whole thing and do it over again - and couldn't have been nicer about it. With the coupon two dogs, fries and a drink was $10, would have been $13 which I consider on the high end for hot dogs. HOWEVER they were after all Nathans off the grill hotdogs, with the trademark condiment bar and the amazing fries. Pour your own soda and the condiment bar plusses. I drove 30 minutes to get to this as real Nathan's are real scarce around me right now. The food was delivered prompt and hot to my table, very nice. Very delicious. Nice clean, large restroom. So how can I give 5 stars to a hotdog joint? Because they did everything as good as it gets. And I will make the drive back down again. 3 strikes you're out, Nathan's! I feel kinda silly spending my precious time writing a review about Nathan's. I mean, how much should I expect from a hot dog joint? HOWEVER, I owe it to my fellow Yonkers peeps to warn you about how disorganized, inefficient, and chaotic this place is! First, this cannot be classified as fast food. Call this, I'm about to be eligible for my retirement food. Second, beware the drive thru. The three times we've tried it have been increasingly bad. This third and final time, after waiting 15 minutes we finally got to the window. The young lady opens the window and asks what we ordered. Never a good sign. Window closes. Reopens with, " you ordered the cheesesteak and a lemonade?" No. I just told you what I ordered. Again. Then, a second young lady comes to the window and rattled off somebody else's order. Wrong again. So, we start from the beginning. Wait several more minutes for our food. I'm sure the many cars behind us were blessing my heart. Our bag appears. A peek inside and all seems ok. We drive to a space to make sure. Wrong! Completely botched the order. Again. Still. Whichever. Both. Husband goes in with the bag. After traveling all day finally came upon an open restaurant. Excited to get New York hot dog and show my coworkers what a "real" hot dog should be like. I ordered 3 hotdogs with ketchup from the drive thru, very easy order. I got 3 hotdogs with mustard (I don't like mustard at all) so I asked them to fix the order. They took the hotdogs and put ketchup over the mustard, again not what I wanted so I went inside to make sure they knew what I wanted. They ended up give 3 new hotdogs with what I thought was just ketchup. Once I started eating them on my drive home I figured out they put hot sauce under the ketchup, to show me a lesson (for making them complete my simple order correctly) I'm guessing. Really only writing this review for a young pleasant woman named Brianna. It was my first time eating at this new Nathan's on Tuesday (6/20/17) at about 6:30 PM. As she very kindly handed me my order of fries, onion rings, and a soda, she greeted me by name WITH a smile. I asked her if I can eat inside. She said sure. Wonderful employee! The food was good, but the workers had us waiting for fish and chips for around 30 mins, and when we had the courage to ask him where it was, he said what fish and chips, so then he had and attitude and when serving food, threw it on the counter. Yup, I get it. It's massively smaller than the mammoth venue that was there prior but down sizing does not always spell better results. My order was wrong and the drink, yes the drink, was incorrect.
