So this is an interesting place, with Nathan's hot dogs plus Arthur Treachers Fish n chips combined together, with kind of diner-like vibe. Besides the classics fried seafood and hot dogs, they're also doing chicken wings, cheesesteaks, pastrami sandwiches, even a half-chicken with fries. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The foot-long delivers and the regular dogs are fine, if not a little salty. The chicken wings are great, but I always get them naked and then dip in sweet chili, sriracha,Nashville hot, bbq, or another half-dozen sauces. I had the half chicken there and enjoyed it. My mother was happy to find a place still doing fish and chips around here, and we got it several times. The fries are crinkle cut, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and kind of addictive. The whitefish fried filet is not bad, but the fried shrimp steal the show. Those are crunchy and also a bit addictive. Hard to eat just a few. I would go back there just for the fried shrimp. The hush puppies are the lowest point: too dense and dry. They also do burgers there but I haven't tried those yet. Overall, good experience there, the chicken dishes are the standouts. read more

Ate lunch at Nathan's in South Bound Brook NJ today. My sister introduced me to Muhammad who served me a plant based double Impossible burger and fries with a large drink. The restaurant was clean and stylish and the burger was 'beyond' excellent! We really enjoyed our meal and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants the authentic Nathan's experience. Im big fan of Nathan's, but went to south bound brook location, ordered a bacon burger with fries and a soda(the small combo), they charges me $20 (such a scam), on top of that they just put 2 small packs of ketchup 2 napkins, and no straw for the soda. Such a disappointment, not going there ever again, $20 for a small combo its just not acceptable. They don't even deserve a 1 star review. read more

My partner has been obsessed with Nathan's lately. We took a trip twice in one week . I'm not a fan of hot dogs but decided to get a chili dog the second time we went and it was alright. The fries were delicious. The lemonade was also ok. My partner enjoyed his food (no complaints from him lol). So if you're a hot dog fan then I recommend this location. I came here because I live in Philly and am NOT spending $40+ in tolls and aggravation and time of driving to Coney Island. I went to one in Jackson but I don't like eating in food court of a shopping outlet. The one at Molly Pitcher rest stop is no longer there. I tried this one. Showed up at 11:30 as first customer. I asked if fries were fresh and he said that he would make them fresh. He was friendly and polite. I got 2 hot dogs and fries. They were perfectly cooked on a flattop grill. I'd go back even though it's 1.5 hour or 70 miles from Philly. I heard the one at 30th street is not too good in terms of food and service. Didn't expect much given the past history of Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips and I'm not a big hot dog fan. This is worth going to for more without any reservation on my part. The menu isn't just hot dogs or fish and chips. Took a stab at the pastrami, swiss and sauerkraut and it was quite a delicious sandwich. Lean hot pastrami, a wonderfully toasted roll and dab of mustard rounded out the sauerkraut and melted swiss. Lots of meat on the sandwich. The fries were cooked well and tasty. I should have asked about cocktail sauce or honey mustard for the fries as I hate bland catsup. The employees were friendly. The iced tea is fountain and I didn't check if this was free refills. I had typed in a review last week, but I suppose it had not posted due to connection. Last weekend I went to this facility and purchased a chicken sandwich. My sandwich cost me nearly $9.00 (approx $8.50 and up range) It did not come with a drink nor did it come with fries. When I questioned the lady, she said their menus had changed. They now automatically charge you a "double" unless you specifically ask fora "single." Note* they do not give you the option "Would you like a single or a double?" My question is - single or double what? Patty? Item? No specification. Just an instant upcharge without your realization. Instead of being given an apology, or offered a reimbursement, or anything for the misunderstanding, I was asked if I would like to have a copy of their menu. This can be very insulting. Were they insinuating I needed to study their menu? Needless to say, a mere two or three days later, my wife and I had gone to the Bridgewater Commons mall where they do have a Nathan's. There is no implication of charging single or double prices. It's not even mentioned on the menu! If you read this review and encounter a similar issue. Ask for Mohammad, or Mo. Most of the Nathan's I've visited were at malls or airports and super over priced and limited options. I wasn't hopeful when I saw Nathan's was replacing the old Subway store. I can say I was happily surprised. The staff are friendly. Fair priced full menu available. The food is good for the market segment. All in all it's nice to have a new burger joint in town. My only complaint is the flip around pay terminals which in super large font asks for a tip. I'm just down down with this trend. Charge a touch more and lose the cheap money grab. Completely mediocre food. I have to return to this location every 6 months to see if it's changed. Anyway, went back today. Not much has changed (if anything). Received two cold hotdogs (the irony, right?) on stale toasted buns, one warm, flat coke. Swapped the coke for a sprite. Also warm, flat. People, put some ice in the cup (ice is cheap) and swap the carbonation bag. There's a reason your restaurant is empty. The food quality/freshness/value is not good. Sorry to be harsh, but my hope is you improve your location so I can grab a FRESH hotdog when I'm in the mood! All the food at this location is Authentic. I have not found a better quality Nathan's or Arthur T's anywhere. The hotdogs are the real thing, with pop-when-you-bite real casings. These are not the cheaper skinless dogs that (unfortunately) many other establishments squeak by with. The fries are out of this world, great! Just like Coney Island, NY. We also tried the patty melt burger and the fish. These were not the reason why we initially stopped in for, but they are another reason why we will be going back. And there is a reason for all of this: The owner makes sure everything is done perfectly. He is welcoming, he manages, he helps his staff prepare the food when it gets busy. We all know we shouldn't indulge in fried foods, especially french fries, but of all the fries out there, in all the places I visited, Nathan's fries are always consistently cooked the same way and delicious.
