My 14 year old Whirlpool Duet Dryer a front loader stopped getting hot after abuse of a family of 6. UGH! who has money for a new one. We went to their shop at where they sell a ton of used appliances for a new to me dryer to see what we could find. We explained our situation. Should we buy one there or have them fix ours. They were very informative stating the older machines are better less computer parts and just fix it. We called about a month later. Yes we went old school for a month. They came out same day. They took the dryer to their shop and brought it back the same day. About a 5 hour turn around. The gentlemen was friendly and really efficient. My dryer works great all for under $200. I am so happy. I tried them despite previous bad review because they could have sold me a used dryer for a lot more. I will re-review if my dryer goes out. read more

About six months ago, I stopped to look at washers and dryers. I saw a few options, and one seller offered me a pair for around $450. But when he noticed my new car outside, he started raising the prices to about $850 for the rest of the similar machines. Then he claimed the cheaper one had already been sold. The installation people had no tools and said there was a problem with my electrical even though they had no way to verify that. The installer was argumentative and rude. Do yourself a favor. NEVER use this service. I had to call another company who told me what Nathan's did to wreck my refrigerator. They jury rigged my refrigerator with the wrong part. So it works, but since they used the wrong part, it makes a loud irritating noise almost constantly. They have scheduled and scheduled visits but have NEVER shown up! I can no longer get through unless I call from another phone. Then it's an apology and promise to show up, which they have NEVER done. They are worthless crooks. DO NOT USE!!! read more

Accountability: Nathan's appliance about a stove repair. I paid a $35 Diagnostic fee, *close to $100 for a needed part and +$60 for labor. Less than 10 days later the stove malfunctioned. The owners Nathan and Ricardo's mother live 3 houses away from me. I saw and informed Ricardo, he offered no accountability and directed me to stop by the shop, which is 3 miles away. I interacted with a female family member/ employee, she is from Arizona. She stated that another +$35 fee is in order. I requested a receipt for the * aforementioned part and have them manufacturer service it. "*We don't keep receipts for purchased customer parts." I reasonably concluded that this transaction most likely did not occur as Ricardo described/ billed me. I am a native New Yorker and we have awesome consumer protection laws that shut down Con Artists such as Nathan's. Since I purchased a+$900 Washing machine from the Home Depot and a $2,200 refrigerator from Conns'. They at least honer warranties and value return customers. read more

Bought a washer and dryer from here. Price wasn't bad and they did deliver on time. Filter in the washer was nasty and I couldn't get it to drain right. You can tell that they didn't bother to clean it before selling it. I figured there was a clog or the pump failed. Took them three tries to finally fix this, it was clog in a small line. Then I had issues with the dryer not fully drying. They took it for 4 days, I had to call to get it returned and it still didn't work! Looked up possible issues, took 409 and cleaned the sensor and now it works great! Seriously, these guys are supposed to know what they are doing. I'm definitely not going back and I would recommend you being picky when you buy. read more

I purchased a used washer/dryer from Nathan's Appliances. The agitator of the washer broke immediately upon first use and the dryer did not work, only blowing cold air as well as the vent not being properly connected. When I scheduled service to have it repaired, the technician never showed up during the time scheduled. I asked the business for the washer and dryer to be picked up and my money refunded but was told they would only repair or replace them. Technicians came and attempted to fix the dryer at my home but were unable to do so and have taken it back to the business. As I was sold broken products and could not get them repaired or replaced in a timely manner, I asked for a refund and have been ignored. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Nathan's Appliances has not responded to them either. read more

I wish there was a lower rating that I could give. I had a very bad experienced, I asked the owner if they repair televisions? He said "yes". Then a week later owner called me how much he was going to charged me. Was a very high cost, I could tell right away he just wants to take advantage of clients by overcharging. I decided to picked up my tv not repair and he still charged $25. Which he never told me about charging without doing any service. I don't recommend their service!!!! I call Nathan's multiple times they didn't answer when they did no one ever showed up to pick up my appliance for repair. This is the second issue I've had with them I will never use them again They are totally unprofessional And a business that definitely doesn't want work!!! The only reason why I gave them one star it's because I couldn't give them a zero star!!! Never again!!! read more

Called this place on a Monday to look at my 14 month old whirlpool refrigerator that wasn't making ice (warranty had just expired). They said we'll go between 9-11 am the next day (Tuesday) showed up until 4:30 pm they took a 2 minute look at it and said there was 2 things wrong with it and it would cost $250 to fix. They left and that was it, so I'm thinking they're going to fix it right? So I call them back (Wednesday) morning and ask when it will be ready and they said they didn't write down the parts needed, so they had to go back again to get the parts information, again they said they would be there from 9-11 am again showed up until past 5. Called this morning (Friday) ask when it will be ready and the "owner" said his worker went to get the parts information very late yesterday and wasn't in yet and there was a three day weekend coming up so he didn't know. Don't allow people like this into your homes, extremely unprofessional, unreliable with no knowledge of the word ethic. Bottom line is - Have respect for your paying customers! read more

DONT EVER LET THEM TAKE YOUR APPLIANCES TO THEIR SHOP!!!! I called them because my washer was not draining. They came and charged me $25 for a diagnosis. Then they saw my washer was fairly new and told me they needed to take it to their shop to take a better look because there was to little space in my apartment. I felt a little uncomfortable about it but I let them take it. They later called me to tell me it was the water pump. I told them I wouldnt need their service because my husband found that we still had warranty on it so k guess that pissed them off and they decided to mess with it. They didnt return it till two days later and when i had a professional tech see it they told me they changed some new parts for old parts they damaged a water hose and cut off all the wires from it!! They are also caused alot of bending and scratches all around the washer walls. I do not recomend this place what so ever. They will cause you more damage and expense. They are very careless workers. read more
