A ton of demonstrations happening with fun staff as well to make it very special. The staff definitely give off a "Disney" vibe. Pricing was a little higher than I'd like to pay, but overall the experience added to it so we bit the bullet and bought a few toys on our trip. It's well worth it for your kids if you want to visit - nothing like it in the US

There were many photo opportunities and lots of demonstrations as well. The sales people worked for the store and there was no pressure at all. We were there a little under an hour and discovered many new items. Our kids really enjoyed the lego and Wicked themed areas. There is also a cotton candy machine where you can watch it being made through the glass, all automated. We somehow left without purchasing anything due to our inability to take it back home.

On the lower level, there were some cool vintage items and books - so that immediately piqued our interest and we continued to explore. When we walked into the main landing on the second floor, we weren't expecting a variety of old timey trinkets and 3D type artwork. Everything was super unique and cool, and it was hard not to want to pick things up to get a closer look. If you're looking for a unique gift or souvenir, I highly recommend checking this spot out. I can see these things being a big hit around the holidays, and for the quality of the product, I didn't think it was overly expensive. The shop is on the smaller side and if there are a lot of people, it can feel a little cramped. Just be patient and give yourself enough time to really explore!

Not only is it overflowing with all kinds of imaginative and creative toys and games, the staff and owner give the kind of service that box stores and even large department stores just do not give anymore. Run, don't walk to shop here. It is so worth it. My husband and I went in seeking a game that our daughter could not find that is from Denmark that our granddaughter had played and loved. While the store owner did not have it, she happened to be going to Denmark. On her own time, she made a special effort to find it, and bring it back in time for us to get to our granddaughter by Christmas. When you find that kind of dedication to a child's joy, it tells you a lot about what a great place it is to shop.

But do you get what I mean? This is a Dutch store where there's plenty of Hema-branded household goods that are reasonably priced. Think food, snacks, toiletries, bathroom supplies, school supplies, etc. I really like the concept and the presentation. I'd go nuts for a store like this in the States. This reminds me of the store Miniso in China. There's a ton of makeup and skin care here for some reason. I even got a Kabuki brush for about £8 or so. However, the second rule is invariably you WILL buy something. Something that made you shout out with laughter, or something you want to give to someone else. A few examples of brilliance - a little penguin slide thing that runs in an endless loop of having two penguins slide in spirals down a slide and get escalator-ed back up to the top ad infinitum. A set of sweets titled 'Jelly Boobs' and 'Jelly Willies' (picture included, I am not making this up). You can take little remote controls and move a little mouse or a little tarantula... all in the name of good fun, nothing to scare the crap out of close female family or anything! Ahem. The shop is extremely popular but unlike the other nearby shop for odd items, Wonders, there is alot more concession given to the allowed movement of the shopper.
