Dr. Dan is amazing and the reason we came to this office but unfortunately dealing with his front desk staff is no longer worth coming. My daughter's 3-month appointment was scheduled for December 19th. Despite snowy weather, we made the effort to come in, only to be told upon arrival that the appointment had been canceled. The only communication I received was a voicemail on 12/11 stating, "Hi, we are calling about your appointment on 12/19." This sounded like a routine confirmation call and never stated the appointment was canceled. I had already confirmed the visit through both email and text, so there was absolutely no indication we should not come in. No one notified me of the cancellation or attempted to reschedule, which I believe is the office's responsibility--especially for an infant's well visit. To make matters worse, we were told the appointment was canceled because the doctors wanted to go home early for the holidays, yet as we were leaving, we saw our doctor still there. Because it was the holidays, I chose to let it go. I even gave the office a Christmas gift and a thoughtful card wishing everyone well. I rescheduled the appointment myself, even though it was with a different provider we were unfamiliar with. Fast forward to 1/19, my daughter's 4-month visit. We arrived at 3:10pm for a 3:00pm appointment, and I acknowledge we were late. However, we were immediately told we would need to pay out of pocket because our insurance was "inactive." There was no greeting or courtesy, and over the four months we were patients, no one ever attempted to learn our names. I explained that our insurance had not changed and that my husband could retrieve the insurance card. Regardless, I was told my child would not be seen today. After spending time discussing insurance, we were then told it was now 3:15pm and there was nothing available. Telling us to reschedule for another day. My husband and I both took time off from work, and bringing a 4-month-old to appointments is not easy--especially when something similar already happened at her 3-month visit. Throughout this interaction, it felt like money mattered more than patient care, with no concern shown for our baby. As a parent, I expect clear communication, professionalism, and compassion. Unfortunately, this office demonstrated a lack of organization, empathy, and respect for families' time. Do not go to Nassau Pediatrics. I was in need of a new pediatrician as mines had retired. My children have been seen by Dr. Camillery & Dr. Shah, both of whom are very attentive and knowledgeable. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and kind. Making an appointment is very easy and there is always availability. The facility offers "sick-day" appointments which are convenient. My experience overall had been positive. read more

They submitted something incorrectly to insurance. We called insurance and got an answer about what was wrong. We told the docor's office how to resubmit to insurance. Instead, they sent the bill to collections. This is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Ester is such a breathe of fresh air for this practice. She is patient and kind and truly listens. We have been seeing her since she started and I continue to only see her. Doctor Katz has horrible bedside manner. It's unclear how she works with children. The way she treated my child 2.5 year old son was unacceptable. I have no other complaints with any other doctors, just steer clear of Katz if your child doesn't like the doctor. read more

Just let everyone know the Practice does not properly seal or dispose of CHILDREN'S INFORMATION and their medical pads etc when throwing them out. I live across the street and down the block. I have medical pads, cotton balls, gauze and YOUR CHILD'S NAME BIRTHDAY PHONE NUMBER ETC. I wonder who else has your CHILD'S INFORMATION and what of more importance. We called on Saturday. I was politely told the office manager was not in, they couldn't call her on her day off and she may call me Monday. I ask what they were going to do about their CHILDREN'S RECORDS and waste not properly disposed of all over the street. They wouldn't comment or do anything to clean their waste debris and your CHILDREN"S INFORMATION throughout the neighborhood until they tell the office manager on Monday. Doctors must be too busy and can't be bothered with your CHILD'S INFORMATION and medical debris SPREAD OUT IN THE STREETS. Not the first time this has happened but always when windy. Now it is time to call the Town to try to have them correct what they refuse to do or acknowledge. Just warning everyone your CHILD'S INFORMATION is not properly disposed of. read more

I TOTALLY Love Dr Camillary and Dr Kuncewitch and all of the ladies at the desk and nurses at Nassau Pediatrics!!!! Dr. Kuncewitch and Dr Camillary are always strait shooters, great with my boys, firm , yet loving with my kids, and never ever rush me out of the office or off the phone. They are intelligent, informative, and compassionate doctors! I am not familiar with the new woman Doctor, but I do always (except once) have an an issue with 1 woman doctor. Thankfully one of the 2 has left and most times I'm able to get one of the men to see my boys on sick visits. On well visits, I can request the doctor I want. The woman are/ were mean, quick, snotty, uncaring, and have attitudes. I didn't know why they are this way but I know a lot of their customers and I hear this all the time from them too. Wish they would treat their customers better...:( read more

been to this office Nassau pediatric and assoc for over 17 years.... could not afford well check visits....I had many medical bills and moved to another town.... they did not send me my kids files after signing form them and when my child got sick they refused to see him... 17 years of loyality ... gone. the rudest staff especially Lydia... I practically begged them to treat my sick child and they refused.. would not send medical records after a month of signing papers form them to do so .... so I could find another doctor...never sent....had to take son to immediacare with no records to show them of his past medical issues/allergies/ asthma issues.... they out righted refused my helpless sick child medical treatment. filed complaint with the department of health... what happened to the Hippocratic oath? Used to be great...then they were bought by a corporation called APNY. Now it's an awful, tedious experience every time I need an appointment. Always seen at least an hour past my appointment time, doctor turnover, extra bills after I paid the copay. Yes, Dr. Camillery and Dr. Kuncewich are great doctors, two of the women are new, one has been there for awhile and is pleasant. Biggest problem is there always used to be 3-4 doctors in during office hours and now it is usually two, and they haven't necessarily decreased their appointments to match the staffing, but at the same time they are less likely to give you a last minute appointment in an emergency. Be prepared to be there for two hours minimum, I have spent an hour with my kids just waiting for a doctor in one of the exam rooms, after a half hour wait in the waiting room. I brought up my concerns about double bookings and long wait times to the office staff and they said it was just a busy day. Really, every time I am there it's just a random busy day? For the past year? I recently switched to another practice, best thing I ever did. read more

My daughter is 21 and my son is 16 and they have been our doctors from the beginning. Have I always been happy? No. But in general, I have to say the pros way outnumber the cons. i have spoken to many parents over the years and the doctors at the practice they love I am not thrilled with. That doesnt mean they are bad doctors just means everyone is looking for something different. The level of care I get, each time I go there has been great. The wait? Has anyone walked into a doctors office and been taken right away? I have had to wait but not hours. I am most happy with the level of diagnostic expertise I have encountered. sorry to say the one woman doctor we liked has left but I have no problems with any of the men. The office staff is friendly and professional. All in all, the experience has been nothing but positive and my daughter is sorry that she is no longer a pediatric age, as am I. Now she has to search for a new doctor she is as happy with. read more

dr camillary is a very good doctor, unfortunately the staff and office is terrible. been going there for over 16 years and due to their horrible judgement , wait times ( have waited for an hour in exam room!) the refused to see and treat my sick son because i could not afford a check up which my ins does not cover, so basically after 16 years of loyalty out the door and they screwed us and left a sick child out in the cold. very very angry, filed report with dept of health and don't bother going to this facility, money talks everyone else walks! and the desk lady lydia is the most un professional, snobby, uncaring person i have EVER come across! read more
